Chapter 6:

Daisuke Kaneshiro: The Weight of Light

The Inner Void – The Awakening of the Évolis

In the great hall of Aerith, Daisuke Kaneshiro stood tall, arms crossed, a smug smile playing on his lips. The golden light from the floating spheres bathed his face, highlighting his natural arrogance.

Daisuke: “Well, I suppose I’m the only one who received a power worthy of my greatness.”

The other students, still reeling from their sudden arrival, watched him with growing unease. But Daisuke didn’t care. He turned to face the priestess, Eltheria.

Daisuke: “So, what can I do with this power?”

Eltheria, calm as always, replied:

Eltheria: “Your power is that of Divine Light. It grants you immense strength and a legendary sword. But remember, power without wisdom can become a curse.”

Daisuke shrugged, dismissive of the warning. He was already swinging his invisible blade through the air, causing bright bursts of light with every strike.

Daisuke: “This world is already beneath me.”

Rioshi Takeda: The Fight in the Forest

Meanwhile, deep in the shadowed forest, Rioshi stood motionless, listening to the forest’s whispers around him. His mind was calm. Centered. He knew something was drawing near.

A sharp snap of branches.

He turned slowly, eyes scanning the darkness. A massive shape emerged from the shadows: a Rattulf, far larger than the ones he had fought before.

It growled, yellow eyes gleaming with malice.

Rioshi did not move. He waited.

The beast lunged, claws outstretched.
Rioshi dodged in one smooth motion, slipping behind it. He struck — not with brute force, but with precise, amplified power from within.

The Rattulf collapsed. Defeated.

Rioshi stood over it, breath steady.
He felt no triumph. No sorrow.
He simply was.

Back in the Kingdom of Aerith

Back in the hall, the students gathered around Eltheria, who continued explaining the kingdom’s rules — and their role as the New Adventurers.

Daisuke, standing apart, watched with a bored expression.

Eltheria: “Each of you was chosen for your unique strengths. But remember: unity is the key.”

Unable to suppress his arrogance, Daisuke stepped forward.

Daisuke: “Unity? I don’t need anyone.”

Several students turned to look at him — some surprised, others clearly irritated. But Daisuke didn’t care.
He knew he was destined to rule this world.

Rioshi: The Awakening of the Évolis

Far away, in the darkened forest, Rioshi closed his eyes and focused.

He felt it.
A presence.
An energy surrounding him — pulsing, waiting.
The Évolis.

He was ready.

A blue light wrapped around him. A strange warmth surged through his body. Power, not explosive, but deep. Internal. Alive.

He opened his eyes. And for the first time… he smiled.

Not from joy.

But from understanding.

He was ready to face this world — and uncover what the Évolis had in store for him.
