Dhruva: The Warrior of the North Pole Star The First Hero of Dharmicverse

Dhruva the warrior of north pole Star and the first hero of the dharmicverse

chapter 6 the battle of visakhapatnam the war!

Scene opens: The inky expanse of the Bay of Bengal stretched out under the pre-dawn sky. An Indian Navy patrolling boat sliced through the calm waters, the rhythmic hum of its engines a familiar sound to the soldiers on deck. But today, an unsettling feeling permeated the air. A vast, dark shadow moved silently beneath their vessel, its immense size defying any known marine creature. The soldiers exchanged confused glances, unable to comprehend what they had just witnessed.

Scene shifts: A swirling portal shimmered into existence above the bustling streets of Visakhapatnam, depositing Bhargava and Kmk onto a relatively quiet side street. Bhargava stretched luxuriously, a wide grin spreading across his face.

Bhargava: Ah! Visakhapatnam! Finally, a true holiday! No spending any money, enjoying everything for free with your powers! Now that's what I call a kick, don't you think, Kmk?

Kmk nodded, a rare peaceful expression on his face.

Kmk: Yes! Finally! No Asuras, no more fighting, no more... that Lakshmi's boyfriend! Just peace! Even if it's just for one day!

Bhargava's enthusiasm dipped slightly.

Bhargava: What? One day? I was hoping for a week!

Kmk: (Shrugging) Okay, then! A week it is!

Bhargava's excitement returned instantly.

Bhargava: Yes! Let's go to the beach! There it is! The submarine! Let's go, Kmk!

Kmk held up a hand, stopping Bhargava in his tracks.

Kmk: No, no, wait, wait! Not the beach first! I have a list of temples to visit first! We came all this way; it's not right to skip the darshan, don't you think, Bhargava?

Kmk unfurled a long, slightly crumpled piece of paper.

Kmk: And among this list are the top three great temples! They are:

1) Simhachalam Temple (Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple)

Location: Simhachalam Hill, ~16 km from Visakhapatnam city center

Deity: Lord Narasimha (a combined form of Vishnu as Varaha and Narasimha)

According to legend, Hiranyakashipu, the demon king, was slain by Narasimha, the man-lion incarnation of Vishnu. After this, Narasimha was furious and terrifying in form. The gods and sages prayed for a calmer version of the Lord. So Vishnu assumed a 'sant' (peaceful) form as Varaha-Narasimha, worshipped at Simhachalam. It is said that Prahlada, Hiranyakashipu’s son and a great devotee of Vishnu, founded this temple. He built the original shrine where Lord Narasimha calmed down after killing his father. The present temple structure was largely built by the Eastern Ganga dynasty king Narasingha Deva I in the 13th century.

Unique Features: The deity is covered with chandanam (sandal paste) throughout the year, revealing the original idol only once during the annual Chandanotsavam festival. It's one of the 32 Narasimha temples in India and is revered as very powerful.

Kmk: (Clapping his hands together with joy) Our Lord Simhachalam Appanna!

2) Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi Temple

Location: Burujupeta, Old Town, Visakhapatnam

Deity: Goddess Kanaka Mahalakshmi (an aspect of Lakshmi)

Story: This temple is deeply tied to the local population of Visakhapatnam. The idol of the goddess was reportedly found in a well centuries ago and was enshrined at the current location by the locals. Legend says that when the idol was once moved during urban development in 1917, the city faced a plague outbreak. It was believed the goddess was angry. After being reinstated at the original spot, peace returned. Since then, she is worshipped as the guardian deity of Visakhapatnam! The current temple structure was built in 1912.

3) Sri Sampath Vinayaka Temple

Location: Asilmetta, in the heart of the city

Deity: Lord Ganesha

Story: This is one of the most visited and popular temples in Vizag, especially among students and those starting new ventures. While it doesn't have a mythological backstory like Simhachalam, it has become vital to the city's daily life since gaining prominence in the 1970s as a powerful place to seek blessings. Local people believe that during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, this temple saved the city from an attack by the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi, which mysteriously sank off the coast of Visakhapatnam.

Unique Feature: It's bustling with devotees daily. During Vinayaka Chavithi (Ganesh Chaturthi), the temple is decorated elaborately, and huge processions are held.

Kmk: And we have a lot more temples to go and visit! We have to do darshan; we came from far, and not doing so is not a good thing, don't you think, Bhargava?

Bhargava sighed dramatically, his gaze longingly fixed in the direction of the unseen beach.

Bhargava: Yes, yes, the temples... but the beach! Okay, fine, let's go then.

With another swirl of displaced air, Kmk opened a portal, and they stepped through, leaving the quiet side street behind.

A few hours later, another shimmering portal deposited Kmk and Bhargava back in Visakhapatnam, this time much closer to the sandy shores. Bhargava groaned dramatically, clutching his back.

Bhargava: You, Kmk! You didn't even leave a single temple, bro! Not even a tiny shrine in the streets! My gods, my back is broken today!

Kmk, however, seemed preoccupied.

Kmk: Didn't you feel anything while we were doing darshan in the temples today, Bhargava? My energy... it flickered strangely while we were at Simhachalam Appanna's temple, and the Goddess Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple, and even at Lord Vinayaka's temple.

Bhargava frowned, trying to recall.

Bhargava: Yes, I think I felt something... a little tingly, maybe? But what was it?

Kmk's brow furrowed in concentration.

Kmk: It wasn't mine. This was... new. Something totally different from my usual energy. My energy's color is usually blue and white, but this... this felt golden.

Scene shows: Brief flashes of Kmk and Bhargava in the three temples. As Kmk offered prayers, a faint golden aura flickered around him, momentarily mixing with his usual blue and white energy. Bhargava, standing beside him, appeared oblivious to this subtle display.

Kmk: Did you see that, Bhargava?

Bhargava waved his hand dismissively, already looking towards the beach.

Bhargava: Nope! But let's go enjoy the beach, bro! Finally!

They made their way onto the sandy expanse, where families were playing, couples strolled hand-in-hand, and the air was filled with the joyful sounds of a typical beach day in Visakhapatnam. But their relaxation was short-lived.

Suddenly, the weather began to shift dramatically. Dark, ominous clouds rolled in from the horizon, blotting out the sun. The once gentle waves of the Bay of Bengal started to churn and grow, the sea taking on a more turbulent and angry demeanor. A siren wailed in the distance, growing louder as a police jeep sped onto the beach, its lights flashing. A uniformed policeman stepped out, his voice amplified by a megaphone.

Policeman: Listen up, everyone! The government has issued a warning! Do not come to the beaches for the next few days! There's something wrong in the Bay of Bengal! For your own safety, please evacuate the beach immediately! Everyone, move now! Let's go!

A murmur of confusion and concern rippled through the crowd. Reluctantly, families began to gather their belongings, the festive atmosphere replaced by an air of unease as everyone started to leave the beach.

Bhargava and Kmk were the last two remaining on the rapidly emptying beach. They watched as a colossal air tornado began to form far out in the Bay of Bengal, its swirling vortex connecting the churning water to the darkening sky. Bhargava stared, a dawning realization in his eyes.

Bhargava: Kmk... maybe this is it, right? The time for Dhruva? Don't you think?

Kmk's gaze was fixed on the ominous weather phenomenon. A grim determination settled on his face.

Kmk: Yes, Bhargava. You're right. This is the time.

He opened a shimmering portal and pressed a wad of cash into Bhargava's hand.

Kmk: Listen, Bhargava. Go to a hotel, somewhere safe and far away from the beach. Anything can happen now.

Bhargava nodded, a flicker of worry in his eyes, and stepped into the portal. The swirling gateway vanished behind him.

In the blink of an eye, Kmk underwent a dramatic transformation. His casual clothes dissolved, replaced by his Asura-slayer armor, the familiar blue and white suit now emblazoned with the sacred Thirunamam of Lord Vishnu on his forehead and across his chest. With a powerful surge of energy, he shot into the sky, accelerating towards the forming tornado at supersonic speed.

He arrived at the scene in mere seconds, and the sight that greeted him was utterly shocking. Multiple colossal water tornadoes spiraled upwards from the raging sea, reaching towards the storm-wracked sky. And amidst this chaos, hovering in the air, was a familiar Asura Vimana, surrounded by a vast army of grotesque Asura warriors.

Kmk: (His voice ringing with authority) Who the hell are you?!

The Vimana slowly turned, revealing a hulking Asura figure standing on its deck. He held aloft a severed head, its features contorted in a silent scream.

Vijaya Asura: (His voice a thunderous roar filled with grief and rage) I am his brother! Vijaya Asura!

Kmk's eyes widened in disbelief as he recognized the severed head. It was Timiranetra.

Scene shifts: A rapid flashback to the battle of Srisailam. Kmk, his divine sword glowing, delivers the final, fatal blow, Timiranetra's head separating from his body.

Scene shifts back to the present: Kmk stared at Vijaya Asura, a wave of conflicting emotions washing over him.

Kmk: (Stammering) Oh my... that... that wasn't me. That was... different. Hey! Stop whatever goddamn thing you are doing and get the hell out of here! Your brother played with the feelings of humans! He manipulated them! And he deserved that punishment! That was the judgment of the gods!

Vijaya Asura: Then face my judgment! End him!

At Vijaya Asura's command, a horde of grotesque Asura warriors descended upon Kmk. With a surge of his divine energy, Kmk conjured a radiant chakra in his right hand and a blazing Trishul in his left. He spun into action, a whirlwind of blue and white energy, the divine weapons slicing through the Asuras like butter. Every foe that came within his reach was instantly vaporized, their dark forms dissolving into nothingness.

But just as he seemed to gain the upper hand, a colossal, scaled tail erupted from the depths of the raging sea with lightning speed, slamming into Kmk and dragging him down into the churning water. The suddenness of the attack stunned him.

Submerged in the crushing pressure of the deep ocean, something even more terrifying awaited him. Though his divine nature allowed him to breathe underwater, a primal fear gripped his heart, stealing his breath nonetheless. All around him, in the murky depths, writhed serpentine creatures of immense size, reminiscent of ancient dinosaurs. Their eyes glowed with malevolent intent, and their massive forms coiled and struck, attacking Kmk from every conceivable angle.

Instinct took over. Kmk's divine weapons flashed through the water, cutting through scales and flesh, leaving trails of dark ichor in their wake. He fought with desperate ferocity, carving a path through the monstrous serpents. Finally, he burst back to the surface, gasping for air, his eyes wide with terror.

Kmk: My gods!

But the horror was far from over. The colossal serpents within the ocean erupted upwards, their massive bodies leaping out of the water, jaws snapping. Multiple serpents launched themselves at Kmk, some arcing through the air like living projectiles, others emerging from the swirling water tornadoes, adding to the chaotic assault.

Overwhelmed by the sheer number and size of the creatures, Kmk was forced to flee. He shot into the sky, the monstrous serpents pursuing him with surprising speed and agility. Some followed him for a distance before abruptly turning back towards the bay, their massive forms plunging back into the water, rejoining their brethren, and the terrifying water tornadoes intensified once more.

Vijaya Asura watched Kmk's sudden retreat with disdain.

Vijaya Asura: (Roaring with mockery) What? The dharmic warrior running away? (He bellowed) Where do you think you're running, you coward!

A shimmering portal opened beside Kmk, and he stumbled through, reappearing in the relative safety of Bhargava's hotel room. Bhargava, who had been nervously watching the news on TV, saw Kmk's dishevelled and shocked state.

Bhargava: Kmk! What happened? Why are you...?

Kmk collapsed onto the floor, his chest heaving, his breath ragged.

Kmk: Those serpents... huge!

Bhargava: What? Serpents?

Kmk: Their numbers... they are in hundreds! They are the reason for the tornados! They... they are trying to do something big! (He shuddered) This... this is from my ultimate nightmare.

Bhargava: But why can't you...?

Kmk: (Cutting him off, his voice laced with fear) No! No, I can't! It's just like when Lord Hanuman was going to Lanka... but I am not Lord Hanuman, Bhargava! I am not!

Scene shifts: Suddenly, all screens – phones, televisions, billboards – flickered to life, displaying the imposing image of Vijaya Asura. His voice, amplified to a deafening roar, echoed across Visakhapatnam and beyond.

Vijaya Asura: Humans! I am the great Asura general of Adharma Purusha! Vijaya Asura! And this is my ultimatum! Surrender to us and deliver the head of your so-called dharmic warrior, Dhruva! Who just ran away like a coward! Your final hope is gone! Who is going to save you now that your divine protector has fled?

Kmk and Bhargava watched this broadcast in stunned silence from their hotel room.

Bhargava: (His voice trembling slightly) You have to go, Kmk!

But Kmk remained unresponsive, his eyes wide with a lingering fear. Time stretched on, the Asura's ultimatum hanging heavy in the air.

Vijaya Asura: (On screen) These pathetic humans will soon realize the futility of resistance and surrender!

Just then, a streak of light tore through the sky, followed by a deafening explosion. A missile had struck one of the Asura Vimanas.

Vijaya Asura: What the hell?!

Then, the sky filled with streaks of fire as hundreds, then thousands, of missiles rained down upon the Asura fleet. Explosions rocked the air, tearing through the Asura formations.

Vijaya Asura looked out over the water, his eyes widening in fury as he saw massive shapes emerging from the horizon – sleek destroyers, formidable frigates, and the unmistakable silhouette of the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, all bearing the insignia of the Eastern Naval Command.

A voice boomed from the ships, broadcast across the airwaves.

Voice (Naval Commander): This is the Indian Navy! To the forces of aggression: your ultimatum is rejected! We will not surrender!

Vijaya Asura: (His face contorted in rage) Damn these humans! Then let the war begin!

From the bridge of the INS Vikrant, Rear Admiral's voice resonated across the fleet and to every soldier on deck.

Rear Admiral : Soldiers! Today, these foolish Asuras have dared to attack our land, thinking they can scare us into submission! But we are Indians! We do not surrender! We have faced countless challenges, and with courage and determination, we have defeated and overcome every single one! And we will win this battle too! Operation Vajra has begun!

All Soldiers (shouting in unison): Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!

Rear Admiral : (His voice ringing with command) Charge!

With a thunderous roar, multiple missiles launched from the decks of the warships, streaking towards the Asura fleet with fiery trails.

Vijaya Asura: (Seeing the incoming barrage) What are you looking at my face for, you fools?! Go and attack! Crush these insects!

The Asura Vimanas surged forward, unleashing their own array of dark energy blasts and projectiles. Simultaneously, the colossal serpents erupted from the sea, their massive forms lunging towards the naval vessels. But the Indian Navy was prepared. Anti-ship missiles and depth charges targeted the monstrous creatures, detonating with tremendous force, sending plumes of water and serpent scales into the air.

Rear Admiral : Target the Vimana! All batteries, lock onto the enemy flagship!

Fighter jets screamed across the sky, launching air-to-surface missiles, while the destroyers below unleashed their heavy artillery, all converging on Vijaya Asura's Vimana. The Asura general simply waved his hand dismissively. The incoming missiles detonated in mid-air, creating spectacular but ultimately harmless explosions.

Vijaya Asura: (Laughing maniacally) What were you thinking, humans? That your little toys could destroy me?!

A battered Asura warrior, his armor scorched, approached Vijaya Asura, his voice trembling.

Asura Warrior: Lord! Our fleet... half of it is destroyed! The humans... they have taken casualties too, but far fewer than ours!

Vijaya Asura's fury reached its boiling point. With a guttural roar, he descended from his Vimana, streaking directly towards the destroyers and warships. He unleashed his Asura magic, conjuring a massive ball of dark energy. Beams of pure destructive force erupted from it, slamming into the naval vessels, tearing through steel and causing catastrophic explosions.

Vijaya Asura: (His voice echoing across the ravaged sea) Let's see how you pathetic humans stand against my might! Against the might of Adharma Purusha!

He continued his relentless assault, his Asura weapons tearing through the naval fleet, leaving a trail of fire and destruction in his wake.

Back in the hotel room, Kmk and Bhargava watched the unfolding catastrophe on the television news. The initial shock on Kmk's face slowly morphed into a grim realization.

Kmk: No... no, no. This holiday trip... it became a war!

Bhargava, his eyes glued to the screen showing the fierce battle raging in the Bay of Bengal, turned to Kmk, his voice filled with a mixture of awe and disappointment.

Bhargava: Look at them, Kmk! Just look at our army! They are fighting with everything they have! And you... you, the chosen one, are just sitting here, doing nothing but being scared of some serpents! But look at them, Kmk! Just leave your goddamn fear behind and see! You are powerful, Kmk! You are capable of anything by the Lord's blessings! You are the dharmic warrior! So you should be at the front! Go now! Fulfill your destiny, dharmic warrior!

Kmk's gaze remained fixed on the television screen, his expression conflicted.

Scene shifts back to the Bay of Bengal: The battle raged on, a chaotic mix of explosions, energy blasts, and the roar of engines. Vijaya Asura, his eyes burning with hatred, focused his attention on the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, where Rear Admiral stood resolute on the bridge. The screen showed warships firing barrages, destroyers maneuvering through the turbulent waters, submarines launching torpedoes, and war jets screaming overhead, all relentlessly attacking the Asura fleet.

A powerful, patriotic song swelled in the background: We will never surrender until our last breath! We will destroy and defeat our enemies for our motherland and our people! We will fight until the very end! Epic, heroic music underscored the fierce resistance of the Indian armed forces.

Vijaya Asura: (Roaring in frustration) I have had enough of you insignificant humans!

He unleashed a deadly beam of dark energy, aiming directly at the INS Vikrant and Rear Admiral on its bridge. But before the beam could strike its target, a blinding flash of blue and white light erupted in its path, intercepting and dissipating the attack in a powerful explosion.

Rear Admiral and the soldiers on the bridge stared in stunned disbelief at the source of the sudden intervention.

Rear Admiral : (His voice filled with awe) Dhruva... the dharmic warrior?

Kmk, clad in his Asura-slayer suit, now radiating a brilliant blue and white light, hovered in the air between the Asura general and the aircraft carrier. He looked towards Rear Admiral, offered a crisp salute, and then turned his unwavering gaze towards Vijaya Asura.

Vijaya Asura: (His face contorted in fury) You dared to come back?! You will pay for this, you goddamn dharmic warrior!

Kmk: (His voice resonating with righteous fury) No, not me. But You are definitely going to pay!

Suddenly, multiple glowing copies of Kmk materialized behind him, each wielding a different divine weapon – chakras, trishuls, swords, and maces. They surged forward, a whirlwind of celestial energy, tearing through the remaining Asura warriors and the monstrous serpents with swift and decisive strikes.

An Asura warrior, battered and bleeding, stumbled towards Vijaya Asura.

Asura Warrior: Lord! We are losing! They are too many!

Vijaya Asura glanced at the severed head of Timiranetra clutched in his hand. A flicker of memory crossed his enraged features – a fleeting image of his childhood, playing with Ugrasura, Timiranetra, Mahasura, and Hiranyasura, their laughter echoing in the halls of Adharma Puri. The memory vanished, replaced by a burning, vengeful hatred.

Vijaya Asura: (Roaring) You killed two of my brothers, Dhruva! You will pay for this!

With a furious bellow, he plunged into the churning waters of the Bay of Bengal. The colossal serpents immediately followed, their massive forms disappearing beneath the waves. A blinding light emanated from the depths, and then, with a terrifying eruption, Vijaya Asura emerged. He had transformed into a colossal Asura form, his head a grotesque serpent's visage, his body a hulking mass of muscle and dark energy. Multiple heads of gigantic serpents writhed and lashed out from his legs and back, a horrifying spectacle that sent shivers down the spines of every soldier.

Despite the relentless barrage of missiles launched by the Indian Navy, nothing seemed to harm the transformed Vijaya Asura. He roared his fury at Kmk and the army, and then, with terrifying speed, he began to move towards the coastline, towards Visakhapatnam itself. A colossal tsunami, dwarfing the naval fleet, surged behind him, a wall of water threatening to engulf the city.

Rear Admiral : (His voice grim) All ships! Head back to Visakhapatnam! We have to reach the city before he does!

The entire naval fleet turned, their engines roaring as they raced towards Visakhapatnam, desperately trying to outrun the monstrous Asura and the devastating tsunami. Kmk and his copies fought valiantly, unleashing their divine powers to try and slow Vijaya Asura, but their attacks seemed to have little to no effect on the enraged behemoth and the unstoppable force of nature he commanded. The war had truly begun, and the fate of Visakhapatnam hung precariously in the balance.

Kmk: (Roaring with newfound resolve) If you can become a monster, then so can I!

He focused his energy, calling upon the power that had flickered within him during his temple visits. The multiple copies of Kmk gathered around him, their blue and white light intensifying. Then, Kmk himself began to grow, his form expanding, his muscles bulging, until he stood as colossal as Vijaya Asura, a mirror image in size but radiating pure, divine energy.

With a mighty roar, Kmk charged at Vijaya Asura, unleashing a barrage of powerful punches. But to his dismay, his blows seemed to pass through the Asura's massive form, having no effect. With a contemptuous flick of his wrist, Vijaya Asura struck Kmk, sending the giant warrior hurtling through the air to crash into the churning waters of the Bay of Bengal.

The Navy fleet, having reached the city's beaches, continued their relentless assault, but their missiles and shells bounced harmlessly off Vijaya Asura's immense form. The land forces and air force arrived, adding their firepower to the desperate defense, but the fate of the subcontinent seemed sealed. Dhruva had fallen, and nothing could stop the monstrous Asura.

Vijaya Asura: (Laughing maniacally) If I cannot conquer this pathetic world, then I will destroy it!

He turned towards Visakhapatnam, ready to unleash the full force of the colossal tsunami. But just as the wave was about to crash upon the city and the naval fleet, an unseen force slammed into it, stopping its advance. The water recoiled, pushed back by an invisible barrier.

Vijaya Asura roared in confusion and fury as he saw Kmk rise from the water, now back in his normal form, hovering in mid-air. A brilliant golden light began to flicker and flow around him, intensifying rapidly. A powerful, ancient chanting filled the air:

Chanting:

Ugram Veeram Mahavishnum

Jvalantam Sarvato Mukham

Nṛsiṁham Bhīṣaṇaṁ Bhādraṁ

Mṛtyor Mṛtyum Namāmyaham

Vijaya Asura's eyes widened in terror as he saw a colossal form materialize behind Kmk – Lord Narasimha, the fierce man-lion avatar of Vishnu. To Narasimha's right stood the radiant form of Goddess Kanaka Mahalakshmi, and to his left, the benevolent figure of Sri Sampath Vinayaka. Lord Narasimha roared, a sound that shook the very heavens.

Then, the forms of Lord Narasimha, Goddess Kanaka Mahalakshmi, and Sri Sampath Vinayaka dissolved into pure golden light, which surged towards Kmk and entered his being. A blinding golden aura erupted from Kmk, and he underwent another transformation. He now stood as Simhachalam Appanna, Lord Narasimha's golden form, his form radiating golden light, a golden Thirunamam emblazoned on his chest, and majestic lion heads adorning his shoulders. His eyes glowed with divine golden fire.

With a speed that defied comprehension, Kmk, now Lord Narasimha's golden form, shot towards Vijaya Asura, passing through his massive heart like a golden bullet. The divine energy of the Lord surged through the Asura's body, and with a final, agonizing scream, Vijaya Asura vanished into nothingness. The colossal tsunami dissipated, its threat neutralized.

A wave of joyous celebration erupted across the nation as news of the miraculous victory spread. Rear Admiral Sharma, watching from the bridge of the INS Vikrant, exclaimed, "We won! This city... this land is truly blessed!"

In the distant darkness, Hiranyasura and Mahasura watched the events unfold on their Vimana.

Hiranyasura: (His voice filled with disbelief and horror) No! Not Vijaya Asura too! Those damn gods!

Scene shifts: Bhargava rushed onto the beach, finding Kmk lying unconscious on the sand where he had fallen after the initial attack. He gently shook his friend awake. Kmk's eyes fluttered open, confusion clouding his gaze.

Kmk: What...? What...? What just happened?

Bhargava: (His voice filled with awe and disbelief) Bro... you are unbelievable! You just transformed into this incredible golden form and defeated him like he was nothing!

Kmk: (Frowning) Bro, wait... I don't really remember anything after I fell into the water. That's all I recall!

Bhargava: What? But you looked so cool out there!

Kmk: (Shaking his head) No, no, I really don't remember anything. But I'm happy to hear that we finally won and that Vijaya Asura is gone for good. Now, can you please help me get back to the room? My back is killing me.

Bhargava helped Kmk to his feet, and they started to walk towards where Kmk would open a portal back to their hotel. But as they walked, a faint golden light emanated from Kmk's back. Simultaneously, the same golden energy pulsed briefly from the direction of the three temples they had visited earlier in the day.
