Chapter 2:
He Turned into a She!
She was still standing behind the classroom door, looking at the faces inside.
At the same time, a strange sensation ran through her body.
"Why do they kinda disgust me…?" A chill ran down her spine for a moment. "What the hell is this feeling??"
She grabbed the door handle, ready to step inside—
when suddenly, a scene played out in her head:
If she just walked in and quietly sat at her desk, no problem.
But if the teacher or her friends asked her something... things could get messy.
Still, she opened the door and stepped in.
No time left to be scared or rethink the plan.
The moment Ethan saw the black hoodie, he raised his hand and loudly said from across the room:
"Oooh look who finally showed up! Leo’s awake, everybody!"
Leo walked straight to the only empty seat in class and silently rested her head on the desk.
Mumbling under her breath:
"That idiot Ethan… I seriously don’t get why he even comes to class when he pays attention to everything except the teacher."
Luckily, just when Leo started getting a bit more comfortable, class ended.
Nice timing, Leo.
As she was still sitting with her head down, someone suddenly slapped her shoulder hard, making her jolt up and cough violently.
Right on cue, Ethan’s voice followed.
"Leo, what’s wrong? You okay? You’ve been way too quiet today."
Still coughing, Leo raised her hand at him like "For the love of God, just let me finish coughing."
After several coughs and once the classroom emptied out, Leo—still with her back to Ethan—turned her head and muttered to herself,
"I have to tell him… maybe he can help me."
She slowly turned around.
"Ethan, something happened."
She pulled off the hoodie and looked him dead in the eyes.
Ethan stepped closer, eyes narrowing.
Then, suddenly, he grabbed her collar and slammed her to the ground, shouting:
"What the hell did you do to Leo?! Where is he?!"
Lying on the floor, looking up at Ethan's furious face, Leo felt crushed.
Who would've thought... after over ten years of friendship, they'd end up facing off like this?
Well, those were her thoughts—Ethan still had no idea it was actually Leo.
Tears started falling from Leo’s eyes, and as Ethan noticed there didn’t seem to be any real threat, he eased up a bit.
He let go of her collar and started questioning more calmly.
"Tell me what you did to Leo. Where is he?"
He glanced at the black hoodie.
"That’s my friend’s hoodie... I’m not letting you go until you tell me what the hell’s going on."
Of course, the gender swap had definitely taken an emotional toll on Leo—
beyond the confusion and frustration from everything else that had happened.
Still crying, this time she sat up slowly on the floor and looked at Ethan with tearful eyes.
She took a deep breath...
And shouted,
"You absolute idiot! You’re still the same dumbass gorilla you’ve always been!!"
Ethan froze, staring at her in shock.
Leo went on,
"You never even give people a chance to explain—you just attack first!"
Then she broke down crying again.
Ethan, still stunned, tried to calm her down.
"Alright, alright… stop crying. Just tell me what’s going on. What happened to Leo?"
A bit of time passed.
Eventually, Leo managed to calm down enough to explain everything.
Though Ethan had a hard time believing it—
to the point where Leo had to start recounting some of their best memories to convince him it really was him.
Ethan scratched his chin, deep in thought…
Then suddenly a huge grin spread across his face as he looked at her.
"So... our bro is now our sis, huh?"
Leo forced a nervous smile.
"Sounds like someone wants me to leak all their little secrets to the whole school, huh?"
Ethan gave her a sweet smile.
"Peace is always the best option." He thought for a second.
"Alright, let’s head back to the dorms. We’ll skip the next class—we need to figure out how you can start attending class without any trouble."
Then his eyes widened.
"Also… you’re gonna need some basic info about your new body. We don’t want you accidentally hurting yourself."
Leo grew tense—she wasn’t sure what Ethan was planning, and it felt… suspicious.
Ethan caught on and smiled.
He placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Don’t worry, Leo. Your big bro’s got your back."
He gave her a thumbs-up and leaned back.
"I swear on our ten years of friendship, I’ll help you get through this."
Leo gave a dry, sarcastic smile and replied in a mocking tone,
"Gee, nothing more reassuring than hearing that from a total girl-chasing maniac."
Ethan was completely destroyed.
