The Night Before the Wedding

One day, with the wedding just around the corner—

Shota’s old college friends decided to throw him a bachelor party.

A final night to enjoy his single life—that’s what bachelor parties are all about.

“Shota, c’mon, let’s hit a hostess club tonight!”

“Yeah man, you won’t get to go to these places after you’re married!”

Shota hesitated for a moment, Ryoko’s face flashing through his mind.

(...Would Ryoko-senpai be okay with this? But it’s just a bachelor party… right?)

Convincing himself it would be fine, Shota followed his friends into the night.

At the Hostess Club

“So, Shota-kun, I hear you’re getting married?”

“Wow, congrats! But that means no more playing around, huh~?”

Surrounded by cute girls, Shota drank and laughed, swept up in the excitement.

He still loved Ryoko, of course. But… a little fun like this couldn’t hurt, right?

(Yeah, it’s just a bachelor party. Just this once!)

What he didn’t know—was that Ryoko knew everything.

The Curse of the Newlywed Witch

Late that night, Shota stumbled home, tipsy and waving goodbye to his friends.

As he opened the door—

There she was.

Ryoko, sitting in the living room with her arms crossed.

Smiling.

—Too much.

“...Welcome home, Shota-kun ♡ Did you have fun?”

“Uh, um… well…”

Ryoko’s voice was sweet, her face gentle—but the aura around her felt like a witch moments before casting a spell.

(This is bad. She’s 100% mad…)

“Hmmm… so Shota-kun had lots of fun with other girls at his bachelor party?”

“Wha—how did you—”

“I saw everything ♡”

A chill ran down his spine.

His drunkenness vanished in an instant.

“W-Wait! I-It wasn’t like that! I was just going along with my friends! Nothing happened, really!!”

“It’s okay, it’s okay. I totally understand. It was your bachelor party, right? ♡”

“...Huh?”

“But, Shota-kun?”

Smile~ ♡

“Since you got a little carried away... I think a tiny bit of punishment is in order ♡”

She slowly raised her hand—

A jolt like static electricity shot through Shota’s body.

“Wh-What was that!?”

“Hehe ♡ I just placed a little curse on you: ‘If you can’t see Ryoko, you’ll cry’—and it lasts for 24 hours ♡”

“Wha—wait, WHAT!?”

“Wanna test it out?” she whispered, before stepping out of the room.

In that instant—

“Ah…!? Ugh—Uuuuugh…!!”

A stabbing pain pierced his chest.

Tears welled up behind his eyes out of nowhere.

“I-It’s too lonely!! I can’t take it!!”

BANG!!

Shota burst into the next room.

“RYOKO-SENPAIIII!! (sobbing)”

“There, there ♡ Good boy, Shota-kun ♡”

The moment he saw her, the pain vanished.

(What is this?! When she’s not in sight, I get overwhelmed with sadness… but when she’s here, I feel calm?!)

“Shota-kun ♡ That’s the “If you can’t see Ryoko, you’ll cry curse ♡”

“Please stop!! I can’t survive this!!”

“Hehe~ Then for the next 24 hours, you mustn’t leave my side ♡”

24 Hours of Curse

The next day, Shota was stuck to Ryoko like glue.

Morning routine → If she moved out of sight while brushing her teeth, tears threatened to fall Commute → Clung to her arm in the packed train, eyes watery Office → Kept glancing at her across the room even though their desks were far apart (extremely suspicious) Bathroom → Had to mentally steel himself before going in (still nearly cried)

Lunchtime—

“Hey, Shota-kun, what’s up with you?”

It was Sakurai.

“Uh, nothing… it’s just…”

“You’ve been staring at Ryoko-senpai all day… like, a lot.”

Shota tried to make excuses, but Ryoko just smiled playfully.

At last—24 hours later, the curse was lifted.
