The Cursed

The boy's eyelids open as he wakes up, he looks around, and he sees that he is in a forest, a very dark one. he looks to his right and he sees his sword, and he still has his uniform

“Huh, am I still alive? I thought I died, where am I?” said the boy, getting up and starting to walk forward.

He continues walking until he sees a light. He runs towards it, and there is a river. He sees an old man on the boat with a long stick.

“OK, now I'm sure I must be dead,” said the boy, walking towards the man.

“Hey, old man, I don't have any coins with me, so can I get a free ride to the other side?” said the boy as he looked towards the old man on the boat.

The old man looked up at the boy

“oh you must be Shinra Kinoko. Come, boy, get on the boat, it's time to go.” Said the old man, referring to the boy.

Shinra gets on the boat with the old man, and the old man starts moving the stick and using it to move through the water

“Damn it sucks I had to die out of young age, I dint even get a girlfriend!” Said Shinra, lamenting himself.

“You might have died young, but you died with bravery, fighting a strong foe.” Said the old man, and he kept on pushing the boat.

“I guess, but it wasn't much of a fight. That guy straight up annihilated me. I don't think I would have beaten him even with some years of experience.” Said Shinra.

“Just because you failed in a battle does not mean you have lost because of your bravery; many of your own have started taking up their own arms and fighting.” Said the old man.

“Wait, really?” Question, Shinra.

“Indeed, that is why you should always fight for what you think is right.” Responded the old man.

“May I ask your question, old man?” Said Shinra.

“Go ahead,” the old man responded.

“Who was the person who defeated me?” Asked Shinra.

“All I can say is that in due time, he will be dealt with.” Said the old man as they were getting closer to a big foggy wall.

“Wow, that's a big wall. I am guessing this is what separates from the other side.” Said Shinra with amusement.

They passed the foggy wall, and the old man came to a stop.

“Huh, why did you stop?” asked Shinra as the old man looked at Shinra

“I felt a huge storm coming, one that might affect even the living world,” said the old man

“What are you talking about? Aren't we like in the dead world, there are storms here?” asks Shinra.

“Hmm, I'm sorry, my boy but from here I will not be able to let you in to the other side,” said the old man. Shinra was stunned

“What do you mean, then? How am I supposed to get to the other side?” asked Shinra, getting up from the boat

“Sorry, but I won't continue,” said the old man calmly

“What am I supposed to become, some type of drifter? I thought we were getting along?” Shinra asked angrily.

The old man stayed silent.

Shinra unshed his sword and pointed it at the old man. the old man opens one eye.

“Hey, come on, old man, you want to fight me?” Said Shinra as he got angry

“It is not wise to challenge God as a mere human,” said the old man as he got up

“Well then, if you challenge me, then I'll show you your place,” said the old man

Shinra tries to slash from the right, but the old man blocks with his stick, then tries to strike from the left, but the old man starts blocking again, so he tries multiple strikes, but the old man keeps on blocking them with the stick

After that, the old man hits Shinra with the stick to the stomach, it makes Shinra spits out. Shinra tries again to strike the old man, but the old man blocks.

“How pathetic, there is nowhere else to go, so it is time to finish this,” said the old man starts to grow into a giant, and his stick turns big into a scythe.

The Old man who is towering over Shinra is about to throw an attack at Shinra, who's still on the boat.

“What! How am I going to defeat him now?” said Shinra.

The old man hits towards the boat, but Shinra evades it by a hair and immediately gets onto the old man’s arm and starts running towards him. The old man brings his other arm to hit him, like if he were a bug, but shinra just jumps towards the other arm, and tries to run towards the old man's face, as he finally gets close, and jumps towards the forehead of the old man and brings his sword up and try to stab the forehead of the old man.

A crack can be heard as Shinra's eye widens in surprise

“How did it not pierce him? Did I slip or something? didn’t even do a scratch?” thought Shinra as the old man grabbed him and held him in his fist.

“Do you think a human-made weapon can defeat a God?” Exclaimed the old man, putting more pressure into the fist.

“Aaaaaaah!” screamed Shinra in pain as his body got tighter in the old man's hand. A crack could be heard, which was the breaking of one of Shinra's legs.

Then the old man throws Shinra towards the boat at full force, and Shinra uses his broken sword to block the fall.

“Argh,” cried Shinra with more pain from the throw.

“Now it’s time to end this!” said the old man while throwing a punch towards Shinra.

“No, this can’t end this way, think, think,” said Shinra.

(baaam)

The old man hits the boat and makes water splash around. As he takes his hand off, the old man is surprised. The boat is in pieces and empty, and only the pieces are floating around.

The giant old man looks around to spot Shinra but does not find him.

At a distance, someone pierced a broken sword into the shore of the waters. It was Shinra who got off the boat in time and tried swimming towards the shore on the other side. Shinra got out of the water and stabbed at a tree with his sword, trying to stand as he did, he started limping forward into the dense forest, as lots of blood was running out of his injuries.

As he carried his broken sword with its sheath, he started to limp away.

“I shall curse you, Shira, Kinoko!” screamed the old man angrily as he slammed his fist into the water. 

As Shinra limped away in the forest, it was dark everywhere, and he couldn’t see anything.

“Where am I? I don’t even know where I’m going, but I must continue.” Said Shinra

“Ahh, it hurts so much,” said Shinra in continuous pain, but continued limping away, and at multiple times, almost fell from the blood loss, but suddenly, he saw a light ahead of him.

“Huh, I must go to the light,” said Shinra as he started to limp a bit faster, hoping there might be someone or something that might help him.

he’s getting closer and closer to the light, and when he gets there, he covers his eyes with his arm from the light coming towards him, and as he uncovers to see a pond and a waterfall. But suddenly Shinra starts to close his eyes as he falls to his knees into the water.

“What? Am I going to die again?” thought Shinra, as his eyes were closing. Shinra sees a blurry view of a girl in the pond, then she looks back at him, and everything goes dark.
