Chapter 10:

Chapter 10 – the treasure hunt (part 1):The Sugar Star Map

Saphira Noctielle

The adventure had begun
And in every laugh, every spark of a star… the brothers and sisters of lightning soared further into imagination.

The stars hide secrets
But in the realm of Hope… they mostly hide legendary candies, grumpy creatures, and sometimes… dragons asking for a hug.

That morning, on the vanilla beach, everything seemed peaceful.

The sea dozed in its sugary waves, and the sun a giant soft, warm, giggling cookie rose slowly above the cream dunes.
The slimes ran between confetti seashells.
Hope, perched on a marshmallow rock, played with bubbles that smelled like dreamy lemon.
Saphira, sitting under a twisted waffle parasol, gazed at the horizon, Élya against her.

Then the sky exploded.

Not violently — with joy.

A ray of pearly light split the celestial dome.
A hard sugar comet spiraled down, trailing behind a rain of crystallized stars.
It crashed gently into the foamy sand, lifting a cloud of cinnamon.

Everyone came running.

Kael, hand on the hilt of his sword.
Diva, already perched on a rock up high, ready to pounce.
Destiny, leaning toward the crater, eyes narrowed.
Dante, tea cup in hand.
Pink, Morphée, Hadès, Héra, Zeus… each arrived with curious steps.
Even Élya raised her head, oddly silent.

In the debris of the comet, a living scroll, woven of vibrating spun sugar, unfurled itself in the air.

A voice rang out
Not a human voice
A cosmic voice, made of ancient laughter and marshmallow promises.

— "Ahoy, divine pirates! you are invited to the star treasure hunt!
follow the sugary constellations, find the forgotten keys, and face… the treasure King!" A silence.

Then:

Zeus: — "…Who organized this?!"

Hope, blushing, raised her hand.
— "Uh… maybe me. While I was dreaming. A little."

No one protested.
Everyone boarded.

Step 1 — Departure Into Space

The cake ships were reinvented.
Their sails became solar, their hulls reinforced with compressed sugar, their engines powered by singing lightning.

Saphira opened a blue door.
Kael, as galactic captain, led the first impulse.
Iris took the helm calmly.
Destiny scanned the routes, silent as an oracle.
Diva, clad in a sparkly pirate uniform, stuck rainbow stickers on every dashboard.
Dante, unbothered, read an astrological chart while sipping starry tea.
Zeus, for his part, shadow-boxed the air.

— "I hope this Treasure King likes sugary uppercuts!"

The journey began.

Step 2 — The Space Crabs

In the whipped cream nebula, the ships were ambushed.
An army of interstellar caramel crabs sprang from the starry shadow.
Their claws were made of hard nougat.
Their shells, of armored cookie.
And they had one obsession: pinching anything that sparkled.

One of them grabbed Dante… right in the wrong spot.

"…Ouch."

Diva screamed, leapt:

— "Hey you! You don’t pinch my brother!"

She shattered the crab in a rain of hot caramel.
Kael summoned a wave of golden electricity.
Saphira, a calm smile on her lips, trapped them all in sticky bubbles.
Zeus ate them. Literally.

— "Mmmmh. crunchy."

Step 3 — The Quiver Fishing

Arriving in the belt of living confections, the pirates had to fish… not for fish, but enchanted quivers.
They floated among gelatinous asteroids, sometimes singing lullabies.

Dante brought back a white sugar bow, elegant like a wish.
Saphira retrieved a singing quiver, which purred whenever she smiled.
Hope… fished a sandwich. She kept it anyway.

— "Maybe it's magic. It has cheese."

Teaser — The Dragon

Suddenly, in the starry void, a constellation came alive.
The three loops, it was said, foretold an ancient presence.
Destiny, eyes raised, murmured:

— "A dragon is coming."

A roar stretched through space.
Far from frightening… it was gentle. Ancient. Displeased.

"Who… dares… claim my stars!?"

And from the depths of the cosmos, it appeared.

A celestial dragon, with frost sugar scales, ruby candy eyes, and minty explosive breath, descended slowly, wings spread like a dream unfolding.

And everyone understood.
The real hunt… was beginning.
