Chapter 0:
Cloudsville
It was pitch black as she ran through the woods. Holding her arm as blood was dripping, she made her way down the slope. She glanced back to see the tall dark figure still chasing her — large butcher knife in hand— as he was fast pursuing her.
Her face was pale as she weaved through the trees, down the slope. Her pursuer moved silently but fast — black hood covering his face with dark clothes, moving like a shadow. Her clothes were ripped to shreds. She saw street lights in the distance. Hoping to find help, she was pushing herself past her limit. She was terrified, heart pounding out of her chest, her legs were close to giving out.
So close to civilization, her adrenaline was at its peak, as she was desperately trying to survive. As she was almost down the mountain, she felt a strong grip on her hair as she was dragged back with so much force. She screamed, screamed like a wild animal. Flailing to try and get free of her pursuers tight grip, she was struck with a powerful punch to her gut, knocking her to her knees. She could hear her pursuers’ breathing. She felt so helpless, like a small child. It was over, she knew it. The pursuer lifted her by her hair and jabbed his butcher knife through her throat. He dragged her body back up the grassy slope, as silent as when he was pursuing her. As she was bleeding out, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Someone, please, I don’t..
That was her last thought as she was being dragged away
