Chapter 20 - Hope's Epilogue: The Last Dream of the Blue Queen

Saphira Noctielle

The festivities end, the fires dim, the laughter fades, but some souls remain to keep the light.

The celebrations had painted the sky with sugar and fire each flash of light high above reflected in the eyes of the divine children the slimes, still covered in glitter, softly sang lullabies to the stars miniature dragons floated in the air, holding lanterns with gentle flames, as if refusing to say goodbye to the party the ground, tired but happy, crunched underfoot. rainbow confetti, cosmic cake crumbs, celestial chocolate drizzles… everything told the story of a world that had lived, danced, and dreamed.

Dante, a calm silhouette under his red cape, returned to the suspended braziers of his world. Mei Lin slept on his shoulder, lulled by the warmth of his silence.

Destiny, as always, waited for no one he slipped between two shadows, vanished through the black gate , and rejoined the library of infinity.

Kael, true to his word, greeted all his brothers and sisters, one by one, then traced a golden line in the sky a beat, a flash, and he was already gone.

Iris, silent and dignified, closed a grimoire of dark light, then crossed the black gate she left behind only a scent of rain.

Diva, she refused the very idea of silence she ran, she shouted, she embraced, and in a final red burst, she cleaved the sky like a laughing comet.

Pink took Élya by the hand they spoke softly, of melting metal and dreaming weapons their steps left a silver dust on the sand.

Saphira remained she said nothing, sitting on a bench of solid sugar, her bare feet brushing the cooled milk sea Saphira Noctielle, queen of the blue tower, guardian of hope, gazed at the sky she didn't cry, but the silence around her… had the softness of farewells her throne had returned to the tower. Her kimono, ironed by overly loving slimes, shone under the moon, and against her, as always, rested Élya, but Élya was sleeping.

—"They're all gone, each to a place, a dream, a world i am the tower. i am hope i am the guardian."

She lowered her eyes to her bare feet.

—"But sometimes… i wish i could be the little girl… the one who laughs without everything depending on her just for a moment, just a story for myself."

Under her fingers, something  a notebook delicately placed in the sand, protected by a ribbon of golden wind she opened it a single word, handwritten the ink smelled of storm sky and strong memories.

—"You stayed to watch over the stars, but don't forget you have the right… to dream for yourself too i love you, little sister we'll be back soon. Kael"

She pressed the notebook to her heart. Hope was falling asleep the sea became a mirror the stars gently fell into its waters like future promises in the distance, the blue tower pulsed one last time, as if breathing calm. Saphira stood she went inside alone, but in her step, there was lightness; in her silence, a promise tomorrow, perhaps, she would dream again, and that dream would be her own.
