Chapter 28:

Chapter 28 - Celestial Spanking for a Mischievous Monkey

Saphira Noctielle

He thought he could do anything, until a plush queen took away his karmic banana.

The light of the celestial lotus floated like a breath in the void between two worlds sitting cross-legged on its golden petals, Buddha kept his eyes half-closed, a peaceful half-smile on his lips. his silence, however, was broken by a mocking murmur:

—"He stole my fruits again."

No one replied the void, wise, never answered gods, Buddha sighed with the gentleness of those who have given up getting angry.

—"He won't understand with mantras."

He stretched out his hand and gently snapped his fingers a blue feather, woven from breeze and patience, was born between his fingers it rose alone, gliding among the stars, carrying with it an ancient call only one person could correct The king of monkeys, and she wore blue. In the Azur tower, Saphira was finishing hemming a scarf for Zorya her thread barely vibrated, peaceful, guided by her small fingers. Élya, sitting beside her, sorted lightning pearls into a star-shaped box the feather entered silently through the window, caressing the air like a sigh. It swirled above the rug before gently landing on the queen's work Saphira observed it for a moment without saying anything.

—"Another celestial problem?" asked Élya, without looking up.

—"No, not a problem a monkey."

She stood up, placed her work on the edge of a shelf, and gently snapped her fingers the blue gate opened in a whisper of sky. Sun Wukong stood atop a golden cloud, legs crossed, sipping overly sweet tea his cosmic staff rested on his shoulder, his crown shone with well-polished arrogance, and at his feet, a bag that was far too heavy. It overflowed with golden meditation fruits, all picked from Buddha's sacred garden an act no immortal had dared for nine hundred eternities.

—"He'll see them again in eight thousand years," he muttered, biting into a fig of oblivion.

But his laughter choked the sky was streaked with one lightning bolt, then a second, and in that light descended a tiny silhouette, draped in a calm blue, arms crossed, a doll attached to her hip: SaphiraWukong blinked, searching for an escape plan that wouldn't come.

—"Oh no," he groaned.

—"Yes," she replied simply.

He sprang to his feet, dropped a banana reflexively, and raised his hands.

—"It was for peace!" he cried. "I just wanted to meditate faster, that's all!" She raised a hand. The sky opened again, and a plush toy fell not a soft plush, but a plush-whip, woven from astral cotton and peaceful lightning. Wukong stepped back.

—"You're not going to

—" she grabbed his celestial ear, made him sit down with a precise, almost maternal movement.

The assembled gods,Ra, Amaterasu, Morpheus, Zorya, even Hope, watched the scene without a word, three taps. Neither hard nor long, but the universe trembled the monkey king lowered his eyes his staff rolled to the ground.

—"Even Buddha doesn't hit me like that," he murmured, his voice full of painful respect.

Saphira crouched before him she held out a ripe, golden fruit.

—"Meditate with this one it is true and if you eat it without thinking, I will send Élya after you." behind her, the doll smiled, arms crossed.

Wukong took the fruit with both hands like an offering he nodded, wiser, a little smaller a lotus flower appeared in the sky  Buddha's voice descended, enveloping the scene like a warm blanket.

—"Thank you, blue queen you are the only one capable of uniting wisdom and cuteness with such firmness."

Saphira simply nodded then she left without a flash, without triumph, but the bag of fruits remained, intact, at the top of the cloud and the monkey remained seated, meditating in silence, the fruit in his hands, like a punished child but loved.
