Chapter 2:
The boy and the unmovable clock
…………
……………….
Once upon a time there was a little girl, and so upon meeting that little girl, many people's fates would be interwoven and eventually would be brought back again through fate, or rather the narrative itself, their story itself, and the life itself that they love. All of it had started with that little girl. That little girl wanted nothing more than to find herself, to help others, and to be happy, but was that perhaps where it had gone wrong?
Was the little girl simply too naïve and clueless to understand her predicament? Or was she simply too kindhearted she overlooked the dangers and forgave the wrongdoers? Had that been the reason why the little girl was betrayed and tortured? Was her naïveté her downfall?
That little girl would never find the answer to this question. After all, it’s all in the distant past, a long, long distant past, a past she had long forgotten and had already moved on from and found her very own peace as the first princess and goddess, the highest being in the world, the strongest and the most benevolent and cruel goddess.
So why had the little boy's appearance just recently sparked those memories back? She thought, does he have a connection with her? Thought the goddess but because it’s the distant past, she had decided to ignore it, although her instincts had told her not to. The formless goddess had decided it was not worth her time

……………….………
A little girl once played the innocent pretend game of Princess. She loved it and enjoyed it so much that she would go to places where no one else was around every day to play Princess, which always made her feel better. She had no name, no face, no appearance, and no happy memories.
She was just copying a book she had found at random one day. Slowly but surely, she managed to read the book and was ecstatic because it was the first time she had ever experienced anything new, like joy and happiness.
She continued to play pretend without missing a day. That incredibly childish reason was what drove the young girl to go to that lonely place and pretend to be a princess, even if it meant avoiding social interactions. In fact, she made a conscious effort to be alone so that she could pretend to be a princess once more and one day rule a kingdom and her own people with pride and joy, as the books say.
Those easy and joyful times will always be remembered. Oh, where, oh, where have they gone? I wonder, but it doesn't matter; it's just the meanderings of a long-gone little girl who had crossed a line and would never come back.
Those happy and slow days would eventually disappear and so the little girl would be sad, but she’ll move on and find new things to pursue and would eventually forget that time of her life and she would experience pure joy, happiness, loss, betrayal, love, torture, and lastly, loneliness she would lose everything whilst always gaining new things Even though she would leave her role and start over,
She would almost always try to return to the beginning. Naturally, she would be so depressed that she would repeatedly try to die, but life would always bring her back, and she would grudgingly continue her lonely journey towards nowhere—a journey devoid of love, purpose, and that innocent little girl who would pretend to be Princess

…………………
It doesn't matter; this is all just the digressions of a little girl who is long since gone. I've already moved on from it. That little girl would no longer be here, and her suffering would never last because I have already become a lot stronger, more conscious, and more cruel. There was nothing I could do to live on. I'll never be able to return. I'll be here forever
...…………
………………
Once upon a time, that little girl wanted to play a make-believe game of princess. She loved it so much she never missed a day of being princess. She would always play alone without any company, regardless of how sour or depressed she was. Playing that make-believe game would always brighten her mood a little, made just for her
.…………………….
……………………………
After the little girl's portion of the story was over, the world would typically move on, the lone child would go to sleep, and her story would be put on hold
...…………….……
………………………
A young child once aspired to be a princess but lost her people, her kingdom,
Once, a young girl who was looking for happiness ended up in despair.
Once, when the young girl sought love, she discovered hatred.
A little girl once desired connections and discovered betrayal.
The young girl had long since vanished.
‘’.......’’
The past is gone, the present is in ruins and so the future is all we look forward to and yet we must always look back once in a while and reminisce about our fond memories to live upon them and simply be ourselves always and so here and now I will keep moving forward even if a bad ending waits for me. I shall gladly accept it for I had accepted my own demise long before I met you. It's okay; there’s no need to be sad. In this ever-expanding story, we will definitely meet again for sure.
The goddess says so: after going through hundreds, thousands, or millions of bad endings, she decided to embrace this one story, throwing away all of the other ones. After all, as long as she can repeat this story, her chances are infinite.
My story may be childish but I will never ever stop looking for a happy ending, even if I have to give my life for it. At the very end, I will make ’you" happy. After all, it’s thanks to ’you" that I’m alive so please, please, at the very end, please end me, end this story.
………….
………………….
Truly, what a childish story! What did I hope to accomplish with a boring past like that, though? I should really be glad the world is as it is now. The irregularity is in a state of confusion and curiosity and soon enough he’ll meet up with a fragment of the first princess and from there, my dear, your story will start.
If there’s no piece or two of happiness in a story, then is it really a happy ending? Would you call it a happy ending? Would the world call it a happy ending? Would I call it a happy ending?
………
…………………
What’s a happy ending anyways? The way I see it? Huh-uh, well, a boy and a girl survive a catastrophic tragedy and live happily ever after…. Ah but his version of a happy ending is disappearing for good after defeating that catastrophic evil, leaving the girl he loves more than the world itself to find her own happiness and eventually get together in heaven…or at least that’s how it’s supposed to end. I wonder, will it end like this? Will this ’time" be different?
…………
………………..
Sigh I’ve rambled on for a long while; it’s time to come back. Ariel, let’s hope this time won’t end in a bad ending and ends in a happy ending. That’s what we’re both hoping for, after all.
