Chapter 23 The Winter Arc

Before the 4 year timeskip [This is a flashback]

I had just killed Toru and then I had seen Carnage it was what looked like an astral heart or an heart of some sorts but it wasn’t human and wasn’t Toru’s this was Carnage as stickers were everywhere around the heart as I touched it stuck to my hand and I had gained Carnage I didn’t realize this until after flight back. The roads were filled to the brim with snow and sheets of ice under them. The city's playgrounds and parks were filled with snow and a chilly breeze happened upon the city of Argentina. This is where we had chosen to stay for a while Patagonia to be exact and the mountains were beautiful snow and everything. Slayer had been using the mountains to train by climbing mountains with his giant sword; this had made him really strong while King had been getting ready for a volleyball tournament he planned on playing in; he had been training in a gym and a volleyball gym. I bought a horse with some money from The Drive Clubs in Tokyo. Chris had lended me enough money to buy a horse using this horse. I had galloped around the mountains and started to train my physique. My horse galloped up to the top of the mountain as I had sat down up there and started a picnic. “What a view” I gasped as I looked at the beautiful sunset. Sipping on some tea as the view. It seemed like my problems were solved once Toru left but the things he did I didn’t forget. A red haired man walked behind me seeming strong as he lifted his axe and slammed it down near my face he wouldn’t have missed if I didn’t use the Red man to push me aside.Using both powers of Carnage and Red man at the same time allowed me to fuse them making Red man version 2.

“What do you think you're doing?”I said as Redman’s new form had 4 dark eyes and more like metallic red skin as he went for a punch I sipped on my tea. The Man was pushed back by the punch as the dirt flung up from him removing his axe the guy moved behind me. As he swung his axe it went through my head cutting it clean off but Carnage made it possible to reattach my head so it did no damage. I flicked my finger towards the man. It was so powerful that it sent the man who was at least 800 lbs off the cliff. “Let me enjoy my tea,” I said.

King was ready for the first match he had. He walked towards the area of his match in the winter snow when he finally got there.

The practice started as the coach set some balls in the air and King went for a spike. He jumps up and uses some zen in his hand and smashes the ball directly into the ground on the other side.

Round one started. The ball started on King’s side as he hit the ball it soared and the other team was able to save it and their main spiker hit it. King’s teammate who was the libero named Dan saved it and their setter then set a spike perfect for King. “Bullet Spike!” Said king the spike had a weird curve which spiraled directly down the first point went to King’s team.

Slayer had reached the top of his mountain which took him into a dojo. “Here I reign for the training Caesar, he will be here in no time and when he gets here he gets to try climbing mountains with my sword and swordsmanship” Slayer said talking to himself.

Slayer held his sword in his hand as he sat down like a champion.

Soon I had reached up to the dojo that Slayer was at and I acquired a blade he made for me not his own sword but one he made and named the Asura. It was a katana with grooves in it perfect to rip chunks out of the beast. The sword was heavy despite it being less weight than Slayer’s main sword. “Now go climb the mountain to the peak,” said Slayer. This was another part of my training once this was over I would get some sword lessons.

I grabbed my sword and climbed one handed. This was a big mistake and I realised this soon as when I reached for the next ledge I slipped I would have fell but I kicked my feet into the ground which stopped the falling.Since this blade is supposedly unbreakable I stuck the blade in the stones this would be bad for a normal blade but this one couldn’t break I continued the climb upwards. Slayer had also chosen to climb the mountain as a final test to train himself and me. Despite his blade being heavier than mine he made it to the top first and I made it last but he still planned on training me so we started the sword fighting.

The first set of King’s game was letting him win the first round done splendidly the next round had started The other team got the ball as they did an floater serve and it went right over the net and swerved down Dan smacked it up as another teammate kicked it up the setter hits it up and King went for a Spike but they saved it sending it high into the sky then there spiker ran under the ball and set it for the rival of king Hiro who smashed the ball sending another floater which dropped at an instant giving them the first point of the set. The next serve was Kings as he instantly smashed the ball directly in the air the librero on the other team went for a save and got it by the tip of their fingernails the ball smashed up and Hiro smashed in downwards.

Soon the sets would be a tie 1-1 and the way to win is the first to 3.

The training was about to start as I had grabbed my blade. Slayer took his stance. The blade clashed as I went for a slash, the blade of Slayer’s parried the attack as he went for an overhead slash I rolled away. I sweeped the blade going for his feet as he dodged. I raised my blade up right next to his face. “It seems your bounty has gone up” says Slayer he hears something and points behind me I look and someone behind slayer had stabbed him with a blade with blood on it through him. The man missed vital organs by accident but still the assassins were there. I grabbed Asura as I jumped up and the men ran under my feet as I leaped over them and raised my blade down stabbing at least one in the back. I backflipped off the one I had stabbed and used blood to stick to the roof.Kicking off the ceiling the blood turned into a rubber like elastic material and allowed me to stab the other assassins and bungee me back to the roof.

I used Carnage to heal Slayer. The training would soon end as I had left the mountains and then headed back to Mexico. This is where I retrieved Deadly Dismantler which allowed me to use skills and infiltrate people.

Mike and Ben had chosen to hit the gym and start working out. The gym goers always seemed so interested in how much the weights were that Mike and Ben had lifted. Lifting thousands of pounds with ease, people seemed so shocked.

King had won the second set with an absolutely insane spike from a set from the libero.The final set came and King’s team lost the tournament first round.King felt an overwhelming sense of sadness the loss of the tournament in the first round felt comically sad. He felt weak as he strolled down the streets of snow surrounding him. This is how the winter after the final battle went the rest went by peacefully.
