Character Introduction – Kagehara Volume 1

Character Introduction:

Kuroda – 24-year-old police officer recently assigned to the rural village of Kagehara. Quiet, diligent, and deeply observant. Narrator of the story.

Yuki Kuroda – Sora’s 24-year-old wife. Warm and gentle. She moved with Sora from Omigawa and keeps their home together.

Takeda Okabe – Maybe around 50? A gruff, sharp-tongued senior officer at the Kagehara kōban. A veteran of the force, skeptical of anything beyond routine.

Hayato – 20-year-old clumsy, good-hearted rookie. He's a bit immature but sincere. Has a fondness for cats and doodling.

Arima – 25-year-old Calm, and well-liked officer with a mysterious past. A comforting presence but guarded.

Hina Mori – A 17-year-old local girl from the village. Bright and curious. Daughter of a former detective and is close with Yuki.

Naoya Mori – A former detective from Omigawa and Hina's father. Quiet and reclusive since the loss of his wife.

Renji Makino – 32-year-old local gambler and a frequent nuisance.

Fukuda – The sonchō (village head) of Kagehara. Acts as both mayor and mediator in village affairs, known for his dry humor and steady presence.
