Chapter 6:
Like It Was Meant To Be
______________________________
There’s nothing too important in this chapter.
No reveals, No twists.
Just a small pause.
The kind you only notice once you’ve already kept reading.
Thank you for following our protagonists so far.
When writing this story, I imagined their apartment — sometimes the fan clicking or a balcony that barely fits two. But it’s theirs. And that’s enough.
A humble home that doesn’t show much, but has an atmosphere that calms, that naturally warms people up. Their rooms, filled with soft toys, books, and a notebook or diary. Some photo frames left untouched on their shelf, that one day, we’ll talk about them.
I figured if you’ve followed Mio and Akari this far, you deserve a little honesty too. I’ll be stepping away for a while — quietly.
There’s life to handle. Exams(bruh).
The kind of things that Mio would shrug at, and Akari might wrinkle her nose at. (But still smile anyways)
I used to think silence was a bad thing.
That if I wasn’t posting, I was fading.
But then I remembered something Mio once did —
she sat in the quiet, alone, waiting for words that didn’t come yet…
and when they finally did, they were exactly what needed to be said.
So that’s where I’ll be.
Not gone — just listening.
Not idle — just choosing not to rush a story that’s never been about rushing.
And I, want to give this story the same kind of care… it’s been quietly teaching me to hold.
The kind that doesn’t rush.
The kind that waits.
The kind that stays.
So this isn’t an ending.
It’s more like… when the kettle’s still warm,
and someone once left a second cup beside yours — just in case.
Perhaps a few more memories to tuck away gently.
There’s still more to tell.
There’s a forest to visit.
A crown to finish weaving.
A few things Akari still hasn’t said.
I’m just not rushing to get there (:
So I’ll be quiet for a little while — not because the story is over,
But because I want the next part to be worth your time.
Thank YOU for sitting with the story this long.
So if you come back — when I return —
you’ll see.
You were always part of the story too.
If you return and find the next page waiting —
maybe it’ll feel like… like it was meant to be there.
But that’s up to you.
For now, the light’s off. The room’s quiet.
And maybe that’s enough.
Until then… the cup’s still warm. Just waiting.
See you soon (:

Hello. An estimate of how long I’ll be away is 1 month-ish.
I’ll also be updating and re-editing some of the chapters (:
Thank you for waiting and sorry for the pause.
Edit (11 May): added some world building ( sneak peaks to some future editing of the front chapter (: ), added some minor details + edit to grammar and minor ones.
(PSSSSS chapter 1 have been edited(15 June). Added a new scene, including more of Akari’s thoughts, their interactions andddd a sneak peek at Akari’s looks. Also refined the ending and introduced something (: u can skip it, but a re-read may help. Sorry for the messiness. Thanks for sticking around.)
