Chapter 24: The Ultimate Showdown Part 3

For All The Time

The sky had long since fractured when Arth lay sprawled on the ground, looking up at Ouroboros—his mirrored self, a twisted echo of everything he might become.

“You still don’t see it, do you?” Ouroboros said, voice laced with cosmic finality. “We’ve spent eons chasing our origin… only to realize we are the multiverse.”

Arth coughed, skin cracking like porcelain, his essence unraveling. “That doesn’t mean you get to destroy it.”

“I don’t have to,” Ouroboros replied, smiling coldly. “It destroys itself. I'll just help it along.”

“Think about this a universe sustaining life devoid of choices…or branches; mighty world made of thoughts and dreams gone”

“You're taking away everyone's freedom to choose”

“With my new universe sure it will follow a linear path from the Beginning of the First Atom to the End of the Last Atom”

“A singular deterministic world” Arth spat

“A stable world” Ouroboros countered

A wind swept through the ruined wasteland, and with it came a voice—soft, knowing, powerful.

“I'd like to welcome you to my world,” said Sera.

She sat casually on a strawberry-themed chair that had somehow survived the apocalypse. Her gray cloak fluttered, concealing a sleek black bodysuit. A jagged scar ran down the right side of her face, partially hidden by an eyepatch. Her once-flowing hair had been chopped short—a sign of battles hard-won.

“Well, if it isn’t the Little Princess,” Ouroboros sneered. “Still clinging to your fancy chair?”

Sera sighed. “It’s been dreadfully boring watching you destroy my grand experiment.”

With a flick of his hand, Ouroboros launched a wave of dark energy toward her. The wasteland exploded in dust—but as it settled, Sera stood tall, untouched.

“You know even in my sealed form, that chair’s indestructible.”

Their gazes locked—Ouroboros, the corrupted echo; Sera, the wounded witch—and tension cracked like thunder.

“I’ve beaten you before, Celestial Witch,” Ouroboros growled. “What’s different this time?”

“You’ll see,” Sera whispered, her magenta eyes glowing.

Ouroboros fired a beam of light—only for Sera’s image to shatter like glass. She reappeared before him, landing a swift blow. He snarled and grabbed her throat.

“You think illusions work on me?”

Sera choked, fighting his grip. “Non... Lecit... No.90: The Casket of Primordial Darkness!”

A black casket enveloped them. Moments later, it exploded—Ouroboros staggered back, scarred and gasping, while Sera stood unscathed.

“That hurt,” he muttered.

“Now this is getting fun, right, Arth?” she said with a smirk.

Arth, barely holding himself together, gave a weak chuckle.

“Kim’s in Heaven right now, negotiating with my brother and the Archangels,” Sera explained.

“How did she even get there?” Arth asked.

“Ouroboros’ unraveling of reality broke every rule. Up is down, sense is nonsense.”

Ouroboros raised his hand. “Harmonia No.0!”

Sera countered instantly. “Non Lecit No.99: The Seven Elemental Dragons of Talos!”

Seven draconic forms descended from the sky, roaring toward Ouroboros.

“I won’t let you cast anything. No Spells. No Lexicons. No Harmonia.”

Ouroboros summoned a purple serpent of energy—Sera crushed it mid-air.

“How pathetic.”

In Heaven, Kim stood firm, arguing with divine authority.

“You don’t get it,” she snapped. “If you don’t reinstate Sera as the Angel of Harmony, everything will stagnate. This cycle will never end!”

The angels murmured uneasily, watching the war rage below.

Back in the battlefield, Sera helped Arth stand.

“God, you’re heavy,” she muttered.

“I’m unraveling,” he groaned. “Literally.”

“If you die, the universe dies with you.”

“And him?” he asked, pointing to Ouroboros.

“He’s not Arth anymore. He’s a cancer, rejected by existence. There’s no cure. We have to cut him out.”

Suddenly, a beam of light pierced through Sera—Harmonia No.13: The Dirge of Unraveling.

She dropped.

Arth caught her in his arms, panicked. “What did you do to her?!”

“The Dirge attacks her conceptually,” Ouroboros said. “Her very being is coming undone.”

Sera trembled. “It’s not physical... it’s existential.”

Still, she whispered, “Harmonia No.21: The Reverie of Restoration,” calling upon the Akashic Code to restore herself.

But her body glitched, caught in the Dirge’s grasp.

“It’s useless,” Ouroboros said. “The target is erased—utterly.”

Sera smiled weakly. “You don’t know your master very well, Arth…”

She raised a gemstone. “I break the rules.”

She smashed the Gemstone of Conflict. Her scar vanished, her hair flowed once more. Her cloak transformed, a witch’s hat materialized, and her wand appeared in her hand.

This was the true Celestial Witch—Sera, the Embodiment of Discord and Chaos.

Her power distorted reality itself.

“Secret Harmonia No.00: The Cataclysmic Symphony,” she declared.

The battlefield rewrote its own laws. Time fractured. Magic betrayed its user. Ouroboros’ powers turned against him.

Immortality—nullified. Regeneration—erased.

“You’re overdoing it!” Arth warned.

“There’s no overkill when purging a cancer,” Sera replied coldly.

She severed Ouroboros’ connection to Arth, who immediately stabilized—while the corruption flooded back into Ouroboros.

“What... is happening?!” he cried as he began unraveling.

A black sun erupted above, radiating anti-existence. Anything in its light—matter, memory, meaning—was erased.

Only Sera and Arth were spared, protected by rewritten rules.

“You’re cheating!” Ouroboros roared.

“I treat reality like a game,” Sera smirked. “And you? You’re just another piece.”

In Heaven, Kim slammed her fist on the council table.
“You think that’s enough? It’s not. If Sera loses again, we repeat this forever.”
The Archangels finally nodded. “We authorize her reinstatement as the Angel of Harmony.”
Kim exhaled. “Finally.”

Sera rose, glowing with divine grace. Her wings turned white, her form radiant and calm.
“I’m taking the spotlight again, Arth.”

“Do it,” he said. “End this.”

She whispered, “Purify.”

A surge of green energy erupted. Ouroboros screamed as he was sliced in half—then dissolved entirely, his Time Cogs falling to the earth like shattered stars.

Sera collapsed, her angelic form fading. Arth caught her, gathering the seven Cogs.

Kim reappeared above the battlefield.

“So… what now?” she asked, gazing at the still-cracking multiverse.

“I'll fix everything,” Arth said simply.

As he activated the Time Cogs, the world shimmered—and existence began again.
