I Fell Downstairs and Got Reincarnated as a Gopher With The Ability to Get +99 to Any Stat, Does That Mean I’m Overpowered?!?!

In the town of Furia, a young girl named Julia will begin the next chapter of her life with her childhood friend Sif.

In this world, children receive a blessing when they reach the age of 5. Then, they have to register their class officially in a town by the age of 10. Lastly, they can become ranked adventurers when they acquire sub class by the age of 15.

Julia and Sif come from a small village west of Furia. Trading merchants travel from the two locations every morning and after noon. Merchants also offer escorting services with minimal fees to villagers planning to cross the forest with them.

-when they arrived to Furia that morning-

“Julia, why did you insist on coming with me? You still have a whole year to figure out your class.” Sif asked.

“We made a promise to always be together. I can’t let you go to town on your own.” Julia replied.

“But you don’t even know what kind of mage you can be. Your mana is too low to-“

Julia interrupted Sif by hitting him lightly on the head with her stick. “A mage is a mage! I don’t need sub class now. Let go to town hall and register already.” Julia said a little annoyed.

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to point out your low ma-“

Julia hit Sif on the head again. “Shut up! Let’s get this over with.”

The two kids entered town hall…

———

Registration was successful for both of them. They left town hall with a bronze medallion each as prove of registration.

Julia was cheerful showing her medallion to Sif. “See, mage is an acceptable class.”

“I’m surprised they let you register.” Sif said.

Julia glared at him. “Do you want to be hit on the head again?”

“Sorry. What I meant to say is congratulations on making it! Let’s head back to the merchant’s wagon.” Sif said.

“Actually, the merchant won’t leave back home for a little while longer. I noticed some mana flowers outside the gate on our way here. I want to forage for some to sell back in the village.” Julia said.

“No no no! Your dad will kill me if I let anything happen to you. We are waiting near the merchant’s shop.” Sif demanded.

“Try to stop me.” Julia said running towards the west gate.

———

-just outside the west gate-

“Come on! Be reasonable. Mana flowers won’t go anywhere. We can come back for them when we are more experienced to go out in the wilds.” Sif tried to persuade Julia.

“Are you scared? It’s only on the edge of town. I’m not going deep into the forest.” Julia mocked him while carelessly walking further from the gate.

Sif silently followed with his wooden sword in hand cautiously.

Mana flowers were plentiful in that area. Julia managed to find over 20 in a short period of time without encounter any monsters.

“That should be enough. Let’s head back.” Sif suggested.

“Fine. Let’s go back.” Julia complied.

-few moments later-

“Sif wait! This is a plum tree! I want to pick some for my mom.” Julia said as she placed her bag at the base of the tree to climb it.

“Hold it! You’re not climbing the tree. I’ll do it for you.” Sif said.

Julia listened to him and waited at the base of the tree while he climbed up to pick some fruits.

While waiting, Julia’s mana detection detected something new. It didn’t feel like mana flower, but it was nearby. It was two trees away.

Julia left her spot to check it out, and what she found was a tiny gopher surrounded by 3 blue slimes. They had it cornered with a tree to its back.

Without thinking, she rushed in towards the little rodent, swinging her stick around.

The blue slimes scattered, but they kept their gaze towards the gopher and Julia now.

Julia picked the gopher in her left hand while pointing her stick at the slimes.
