Chapter 0:
Crimson Vow
However, no one survived!
The enemy did not consist of larger forces or superior numbers, nor were they monsters of a higher rank or a squad of murderous assassins. It was one human! Only one person annihilated the entire army, and S-rank mages weren’t an exception. The figure whose breathing could be clearly heard remained on the pile of monsters whose organs had been lost or burned.
His features could not be distinguished well, the dark robe with the hood covered half of his face, yet those two deep holes looked like black holes, capable of suppressing any creature with their abyss-like darkness.
He sat in a relaxed manner, placing his arm over his right knee and took his time staring at the carnage he had caused, the killing intent and pressure he released causing the air itself to choke.
“Is this it?” His male voice finally came out.
“Isn’t this what I always wanted, why am I not happy?” The tone remained normal, but the emptiness inside it could be discerned: “Why aren’t I sad? Why don’t I feel anything?!”
“Hahahh.. Hh.. It seems that Venor was right..!”
“Slatch...!!”
