Chapter 47:

Episode 47 - Past Arc EP6: Spring in Kyoto – And Back to the Present

My Telekinetic Office Lady Girlfriend Is Way Too Powerful!

When Shota came to, he was standing on the grounds of Heian Shrine, one of Kyoto’s most iconic landmarks, known for its towering red torii gates and spacious shrine grounds.

The evening sky was painted in shades of crimson, and cherry blossoms danced in the wind. Petals gently brushed against his shoulders—yet, just like before, he remained like a ghost, unseen and untouched by the world around him.

As he looked around, he spotted Ryoko and Masako standing together near the shrine’s iconic red gates.

The two stood side by side, gazing up at the blossoms, quietly deep in conversation.

“Thanks to you, Mom, my abilities have become so much more stable.”

Ryoko’s voice was calm, her expression confident.

“Yes, You’re like a completely different person from when we first reunited.”

Masako said, gently stroking her daughter’s hair.

“Let’s talk about what comes next.”

“What comes next?”

“Ryoko, you’ll be using your father’s inheritance to enter a medical university.”

“...Medical school?”

“More precisely, a department that specializes in neurochemistry and hormonal research.

If you study it properly, you’ll gain even better control over your powers—and awaken new ones.

“New abilities...?”

“Yes. And after graduating, you’ll go on to study abroad.”

Masako’s voice carried a tone of absolute certainty, as if she had already seen it all unfold.

“Mom… how can you be so sure?”

At Ryoko’s question, Masako smiled faintly and answered slowly.

“My other ability... is foresight.”

“Foresight…?”

“More precisely, I can sense fragments of the future—events that have already been set in motion. I’ve seen glimpses of your future, Ryoko.”

Ryoko stared at her mother, speechless.

Then Masako said, gently:

“And one more thing, Ryoko. When you turn twenty-eight, you’ll meet the man who will be your life partner.”

In that moment, Shota felt a surge of Ryoko’s emotions flood into him.

A sudden tightness in the chest.

Turbulence. Confusion. And deep within—a warm, floating feeling, like her heart was being lifted by something gentle and bright.

Even Ryoko didn’t seem to know how to process what she was feeling.

Masako looked at her daughter and smiled with quiet reassurance.

“Don’t be afraid. The future isn’t something to fear. Because waiting for you is the person you’ll truly love.”

Then, it happened.

Masako lifted her gaze—and looked straight at Shota.

“Shota-san.”

Shota’s heart froze.

Take good care of Ryoko, won’t you?

With a kind smile, Masako spoke those words.

The next moment, Shota’s vision began to fade.

The cherry blossoms of Heian Shrine receded into darkness—

and he was falling, falling deep into the void.
