Chapter 0:

Prologue – The Execution Scene That Never Happened

The Villainess Who Refused to Die

Prologue – The Execution Scene That Never Happened
They told me I would die at sunset.
That was how the story was supposed to go.
I was the villainess—cruel, cunning, and disposable. A necessary sacrifice to let the heroine shine and for the kingdom to rejoice. The people would cheer as my head fell. The prince would turn away, cold and triumphant. The curtain would close on a perfect ending.
At least… that was the script.
But as I stood on the execution platform, chains biting into my wrists, the sky painted crimson behind the gallows—I remembered something I shouldn’t have.
I wasn’t from this world.
A flood of memories crashed over me—another life, another name, another world. My fingers trembled, not with fear, but with clarity.
I had lived this moment before.
In a game.On a screen. And every time, no matter what choices the player made, I always died here.
I was never meant to live past this scene.
But now that I remember…Now that I know…I refuse.
I won’t beg. I won’t cry. I won’t give them the ending they want.
If fate wants me dead, it’ll have to try harder.Because I’m not just a character anymore. And I’m no longer playing by the rules.
