Chapter 4:

About Pale Skies, Restless Souls

The Big Book of Penguins in a Cup

It's a little melancholy story about a hazy(memory loss, sure) exorcist and a child ghost. Both don't remember what their past was like and are trying to live life normally. Except they're a little bit more than normal, they're borderline supernatural.

It starts off with the exorcist taking a train to a fairly small town in the middle of nowhere and finding this ghost child. And instead of forcefully exorcising her like he was tasked to do, he took her with him in hopes of helping her learn more about herself and move on peacefully. They go on many adventures, uncovering the secrets of the past together. The more they explore, the stranger the world becomes. Can the exorcist really succeed, or will he have to exorcise the child forcefully for his own safety?

This story covers things like action sequences(at least an attempt. yo this is my first action novel thing, cut me some slack...), mystery, finding one's sense of self, and found family tropes. Before any funky ideas are formed, there's no romance here >:(. I have too many sad stories, but this one, I like the most, so I avoid writing the actual novel just so I don't butcher the idea I have of it nyehe. Let me know if you’d like to read the rest :D
