Chapter 1 Cat's Eyes in the Magic Palace

Angelineceuu:the lighting fang of the opperessed

Angeline Ceu's footsteps made no sound as she passed through the black stone gates of Academia Arcana Prime — the greatest magic school in the world of Vireldra.
A cold wind brushed against the soft fur on her ears. Glares stabbed into her back like thorns. Contemptuous glares.
“Tabaxi?” whispered an elf student to her friend, barely holding back a laugh.“Is she lost? This is a magic school, not a zoo.”
Angeline scanned the crowd, her bright blue feline eyes catching every whisper, every sneer, every look of disgust from the so-called ‘superior’ races. But she kept walking calmly, even though her tail was slightly tense.
She knew this would happen.
She had heard it her entire life:
> “You’re just an animal that learned to walk.”“Fast? So are dogs. But they don’t cast spells.”

Still, she had accepted the invitation to this academy — an invitation claiming to promote “diversity.” But she knew the truth...They just wanted to laugh at a demihuman’s failure.
And Angeline came to crush their expectations.

---
The admission hall.Over a hundred new students had gathered. Before them stood the academy’s high-ranking mages. In the center of the room, a crystal staff pulsed with magical energy — the testing relic.
One by one, the students stepped forward, placing their hands on the crystal. It glowed with their respective elemental affinities — red for fire, blue for water, purple for lightning, and so on.
Then came Angeline’s turn.
Her steps were slow but steady. Her ears and tail drew everyone’s eyes. The room fell silent.
“Your name?” asked the magic instructor, voice flat.
“Angeline Ceu.”“Race?”“…Tabaxi.”
A few chuckles echoed from the back.
She placed her hand on the crystal. No color. No glow. The crystal even trembled… and then went completely dark.
“Just as I thought,” muttered a tall elf behind her.“She’s a zero.”“No magic. Should’ve been thrown out.”
But before anyone could laugh louder—BYUUUUNG!
In a blink, Angeline vanished from where she stood — and in less than a second, she was right behind the elf who had mocked her.
She tapped his shoulder with a single finger and whispered:
> “I may be zero in magic…but you can’t dodge something faster than your thoughts.”

The elf turned pale.
Angeline calmly walked back to the front, as if nothing had happened.
The entire hall was silent.
And the instructor stared at her with narrowed eyes. Not with scorn. Not with mockery. But with a hint of fear.
