Chapter 1:

Fragments from the Forgotten Words of the Writer

The Writer System. The Writer Who Became the Main Character of a New Story

Fragments from the Forgotten Words of the Writer

---
First Fact: The Story of the System
When the first Marcus died, his consciousness did not vanish. In a final spark of isolated will, he tried to understand why everything collapsed—and in that moment, his mind ignited. One of his eyes became the core of a new world, born from pain, memories, and broken dreams.
But he didn’t know that something from beyond was watching.A being beyond time and reality used the fragments of his soul.It took everything that remained—his logic, pride, reason, charisma—and forged a "System", turning his mind into a program.
Who is this being? [Information Restricted 🔒]
The System believes it summoned Marcus. That it is a divine mechanism. That it grants power. But the truth is—It was simply the first version of Marcus himself: forgotten, broken, burned out.

---
Second Fact: 📜 The Origin of Eidollight
> "Where death becomes the source, and the dead’s pupil is a cradle for life."

The continent of Eidollight is not a “world” in any traditional sense. It doesn’t float across endless seas, doesn’t rest on a giant beast’s back, and doesn’t orbit any sun.Eidollight hangs suspended—within a single tear.A frozen tear in the eye of a dying god.
That god is Marcus.A being who cannot be understood as a person, nor as a concept. He is the beginning, the end, and the void in between.
At the very beginning, there was Makoto—An ordinary writer. A man who once wished to create a world ruled by the pen, where words are mightier than swords, and every choice could rewrite reality.
One day, he returned home from the hospital, exhausted… and collapsed. And then he fell into another world. His body remained behind. His soul was transferred—to Marcus.
It happened over and over.
The System didn’t tolerate weakness.Every fragment of Makoto’s broken soul found a new vessel in Marcus.Eras froze inside him. His veins ran with ink. His soul cracked under the pressure of meaning.
He became someone who traversed continents—yet belonged to none.
Eventually, Eidollight was destroyed—In a war no one could name, in an end no one could understand.
Only one remained: Marcus. He breathed, but was not alive. He looked, but could not see.
A curse etched itself onto his soul:
> “You shall become the Doomsday Beast. But Doomsday shall never come.”

(How the curse began — [Information Restricted 🔒])
And then he died.
But with his death, all mana, despair, and memories from every past version of Marcus gathered into his pupil. And from that dead eye—another world was born.A new Eidollight.A new life.A new illusion.
And again—Marcus was born.And again—Makoto was consumed.And again—rebirth.
The world became an endless reflection within the mirrors of consciousness. The continent—just a mold of internal nightmares.

---
🜃 The Philosophy of Eidollight
> “If you can see the world, you’re already inside the pupil. If you write, you’re already rewriting reality. If you’re alive, you’re just part of someone’s desperate attempt not to vanish.”

Marcus is not a god.Not a human. Not a hero.He is a concept.A shadow born from the fear of being forgotten, from the desire to be eternal in words, if not in flesh.
His existence is a paradox of time and morality. He endlessly survives apocalypses—and yet he is the source of them.He destroys, so that something new may be born. And he is reborn—only to die again.
But he will never awaken.Because if he does—Eidollight will cease to exist.

🕯 A Quote from Marcus
> “If this world was born from my death—Then let it live in oblivion.I will watch, but never see.I will wait, but never return.I am the shadow from which continents bloom.”

---
Third Fact:
Illya and Alrik were originally throwaway characters.I was too lazy to come up with new ones, so I kept them—and now they’re main characters.
Who is Kaltay? — [Information Restricted 🔒]

---
Fourth Fact:
At first, I made Illya the main villain. She was going to join a cult, gain the trust of Marcus and Alrik, and eventually kill Alrik during a mission.
...But then I changed my mind. Will she remain a main character? — [Information Restricted 🔒]

---
Fifth Fact:
My early writing was a disaster.Full of errors. Completely messy.I showed it to ChatGPT.After several humbling moments, it fixed everything.(Still full of mistakes though 🤗)

---
Sixth Fact:
While writing this story, I thought:“This is genius. I’m about to redefine isekai!”
Motivation was sky-high.Then I reread it and thought:“Wow... this is so cringe.”
Reality is harsh 😓

---
Seventh Fact:
I wrote this entire story in 4 days.Whether that’s good or bad—I don’t know.For a beginner? I guess it’s okay.

---
Eighth Fact:
This started as a pure comedy isekai. Now it’s some kind of psychological drama.I’m still shocked how I ended up here.

---
Ninth Fact:
Lior was originally another isekai’d character.A major one. The second protagonist. But I decided against it.I didn’t want to write a second MC arc. Also, I built the lore so tightly, it had to follow its own strict rules.
