Mother and Princess Give Chase

Even the worst of parents, who have cornered their real son to the point he would say such a thing, would still give chase. Heero took off running to group of warriors. 

Heero pondered on what he saw of his son. How he did that boy learn the Great Demon Spiral. His teacher that he had mentioned the Hex-Gate Eye in class, and the father forgot to ask him about it. Why was that.

An Imperial Knight reported, “Lord Heero. About the hole in the ground your son dug through, the path is blocked from the middle, and we don’t know whether or not it branched off somewhere.”

Heero replied, “Ah. But, with his magical power, he shouldn’t have gone too far. Then, instead of his path underground, let’s search for where he’ll emerge from above the ground.”

Having heard about Terran's magic health checkups. Uncertain of the exact numbers, but it was less than Poh or the princess. If so, Terran could not get that far.

In the first place, even as a father but never expected him to be stronger than Reval.

It’s not just the Great Magic Spiral. Terran's agility, the power of his fist, and his footwork, all was so amazing. Not with a magic sword, that new fighting style that Heero didn’t know about.

Herro told himself, “I’m really pathetic. You’re not too far with your magic? I didn’t even know my son was so strong.

His fist and footwork made easy work of Reval. That, the great hero knew that there was no petty trick. Beautiful form, well-honed movement.

Heero regretted not remaining calmer. Then he could have properly talked.

The imperial knight reported again, “Lord Heero. There are various towns and villages in the vicinity of the Imperial City, including large and smaller ones. But, to cover all of them on our own is nigh.”

Herro currently rushed out of the Imperial City and was pursuing Terran in a hurry, but a few warriors came to help. However, it is still impossible to search with so few warriors.

Herro decided and said, “For now, it is supposed that the liaison team of the Imperial City will immediately contact the surrounding towns and villages, as well as border guards.”

The knight mentioned, “Ah! But Terran left with only his clothes. He doesn’t have much money, either. Maybe he’s camping out. He might be hungry.”

Thinking about where Terran might be heading. Heero asked, “Show me the map.”

Where is Terran going after running from home? Expand the map of the Imperial territory. Where could Terran go without much money?

Heero said, “If he were heading towards the Great Custer Forest or McNeal Mountain, it’ll be a little difficult to search. It’s vast. There is a town at the foot of the mountain.”

The knight said, “Speaking of which, during this time of year, there are a lot of Go events in this place, so there will be a lot of people coming and going, including the people of Insei, the place will be crowded at Candlehearth.”

Heero thought about it, “He’s a clever guy, unlike me. It’ll surely be troublesome and even life threatening, so I don’t think he’d go to a place like this. He shouldn’t have any survival experience. I doubt he’d risk going to Candlehearth or even toward that direction. He’s a weak Go player so he probably won’t want to go there.”

In this situation, Heero kept analyzing where would he go next?

The knight said while pointing on the map, “Hey! Located in the other direction from Candlehearth. Inai City! It’s definitely that time of year.”

Heero confirmed, “Ah, that’s right, there’s that fighting tournament where those who take pride in their strength will gather. The prize money for the tournament is decent.”

Terran is definitely headed here. Heero quickly decided that is the destination “That’s it. I’m sure he’s headed there! There’s no reason to go through forests and mountains for Candlehearth, so here it is! I’m heading there!”

The moment Heero thought so and immediately rushed out, trying to get there as soon as possible.

The Knight called out, “Lord Heero, wait! For now, let’s report to the liaison team. Lord Heero’s son may be heading to Inai city.”

Herro was lost in thought, wondering what to say to his son, if he should apologize, or could. The only thing for certain, is that he has to go find the boy.

The Knight called out, “Lord Heero, It is a magic crystal communication! From the Army Commander!”

Heero replied, “Eh, at a time like this. I don’t care if they slash my salary, so let’s do that later.”

Knight said further, “He wants to inform you of an urgent matter.”

The magical sphere projected a hologram, and the Army Commander appeared translucent and said, "Heero! You are doing as you please."

Heero was impatient and hot headed, asked “What is it!? I’m in a rush!”

The commander said, "Hey, Heero. Well, that’s fine. That’s for later. There’s a bad matter and a worse one. First of all, the bad. It seems the princess, Reval and the others fled the Imperial City leaving only written notes.:

Heero was astonished, “What?”

Commander said, "In all probability, their purpose is to search for your son."

Heero remained baffled, “No way, hold up. Right now, the Imperial City is on high alert and a strict blockade.”

The Princess Uriko is acting too hasty. The father also felt glad you’re thinking about Terran that much. A better position in comparison to the father the hero's eyes.

Commander continued, "Princess, Reval, Poh, and the young daughter of the Fue family seems to be missing as well. They must have used that girl's skills to get past security."

Heero recalled, “Fue family? Piper. ah~, that girl.”

The commander said, "We can’t allow the princess to roam without warrior escorts. So, I asked Akari to track down and protect the princess. I didn’t think she would be ready mentally, but she eagerly volunteered herself."

Heero gasped, “What? Akari?”

Commander then said, "Yes! Honestly, she has a lot of other work to do, but it was an emergency, so I gave her priority. Also, the young lady Sadie is with her as the support."

Heero gasped again, “Just Sadie!?”

The commander said, "I just thought I’d share this information. To be honest, you also have a lot of work to do. Right now, I’ll prioritize your son. Therefore, if you find the princess, have her under your protection as soon as possible."

Heero thought he told them to wait at home.  It seems that Akari decided to take it upon herself to search for the princess, not Terran. Yet, this allows Akari to drop a ton of work and leave the Imperial City.

Heero was connecting the details together, but the commander interrupted.  "Well, next is a worse matter."

The commander continued, "It’s about the match. It seems that the demons were also monitoring. Well, we held such festivities, so we didn’t force much regulation, but immediately, I received an inquiry from the Demon Realm, from that Supreme Ruler Raifanto.

Heero gasped, “From Rai?”

The commander elaborated, "The technique your son used. Not only the Great Magic Spiral, but also the magic control technique used just before that. It seems to be a technique called Breakthrough, a technique developed by Demon King Enuma."

Heero asked, "How is that possible"

What a hell. Not only the Great Magic Spiral, but also that green glowing magical power, was developed by Enuma? Can’t be a coincidence. Terran has gained power related to Enuma. But how? No, did someone teach Terran? But then, who?

Heero said, “Even though we’ve fought. I never even knew the name of that technique, but how many of them can use the Breakthrough?”

The commander replied, "It seems that even demons do not know much about it. It appears to have been a technique unique to The Demon King, and it was never passed down to anyone."

Heero muttered “Nonsense”

Then, the Army Commander’s tone dropped even lower. "It’s according to Raifanto, if there was anyone that could use that technique. Then there is only one possibility."

I had a bad feeling about it. 

The Army Commander gave the name, "One of the Former Six Supremacy and Demon General who has been missing for the past ten years, and a follower of the Demon King. The Dark Valkyrie Yamidire" 

Heero truly astonished, “No. Oh~ Of all people.”

The commander then said, "Oh, yes. Along with the strongest of the Six Supremacy. The Fiendish Emperor Hakuku, one of the most dangerous figures among the Demon Army Remnants."

Heero suddenly started to feel his head hurt. “No way. No way she was in contact with Terran. that’s not possible.”

The commander followed up, "However, Raifanto doubts it. We concur; there is no reason for Yamidire to doing such a thing. But he’s really concerned about it."

Yamidire. One of the former Great Generals of the Demon Army, and a mighty enemy of mankind. Her devotion to the Demon King went beyond loyalty, she practically worshiped the guy. 

That’s also why she was against the peace agreement after the death of the Demon King and disappeared. She had been missing for so long.

Terran, what the hell happened to you?  But no matter what, Heero was determined catch up with the boy.  At that time, anything is fine, as long as they get to talk.

Heero thought, "Give me another chance to be your father."
