Chapter 1:
Isekai In My Own Novel!?
.
.
.
Gasp!
.
.
.
"Huff...huff... What the-"
"Darien?"
Meowa immediately turned towards the voice, not because he was called, but because the name was very familiar to him. There, he saw a boy, around 7 years old, standing frozen with a shocked expression before it changed to relief and a desire to cry.
His hair was soft blonde with mint-colored eyes. His natural skin tone made him look handsome and cute, though he also looked mature for his age.
But that wasn't what still shocked Meowa, who was this boy, or at the same time, why did he look quite familiar to him? It was because the boy now ran towards him and hugged him tightly as if he never wanted to let go.
It was so strange. This familiar and nostalgic warmth gripped the chest. It felt so real and weird.
'What's happening?'
"Hiks... I'm relieved you're awake, Darien... Please don't scare me like that again", the boy said, trying to hold back tears, though they still flowed. Meowa was still dumbstruck. His brain seemed to have shut down.
"Darien? Are you okay? Still in pain? Wait! I'll go call the warden and doctor!"
"Eh? Wait-", Meowa, who extended his hand to try and reach for the boy, stopped when he realized something. The boy has already disappeared behind the door, leaving him alone in this unfamiliar place.
He reached for his neck, feeling strange as his voice sounded different, small, and weak. His eyes widened, and then he immediately got up and ran towards a large mirror hanging in the room.
Meowa was shocked again when he saw a small boy, very small, reflected in the mirror he was looking at. This boy's body looked like a 4-year-old's, though Meowa knew the actual age of this body was 6.
His body looked quite thin, very fragile like a vase that can break at any time, if pushed by the wind. His hair was soft hazelnut, and his crimson red eyes looked tired but had a lively light staring back at him with his current reaction.
He then placed his small palm on the mirror and let out an empty laugh, as if in disbelief.
"You've got to be kidding me, right?"

"... I've been isekai'd into my own novel?"
.
.
.
He sighed again, holding his head with one hand, a look of worry and confusion on his face. "... Why in this novel? My own novel? I understand now why that blond kid looked familiar, and this body....
They are both characters in this novel, and I'm the main character here? Why not a side character? No, no... that would be even worse because this novel, but this is bad too...
Oh god... What do I do now?" Meowa let out another long sigh and turned to look at the mirror again. He immediately facepalmed.
'... I'm truly doomed...'
He then looked around with a serious expression. The room he was in was quite large, with six beds and a small wardrobe beside each bed. Everything was made of wood, both the floor and the walls. It's simple but still nice.
His eyes turned towards the window beside his bed, and he went to it, looking at the view of his new world. He was stunned by how beautiful the sunset view was in this world. More beautiful than his original world.
This was a world he created from his imagination, and now, he was in this world. It feels so real.
"... Who brought me here?"
Skip...
Darien pov:
"He's okay now, just make sure he finishes his medicine, and I'll come check on him again," says a man in a white doctor's coat to the blond boy and a stern-looking woman. The boy, whose name was Eirian, bowed in thanks to the doctor, who simply nodded.
The doctor then left, followed by the old woman, but not before she sternly told me and Eirian something. "Please don't cause any more trouble after this, and if you're sick, don't delay, especially you, Darien. Don't make things difficult for me and your brother."
Geez, I'm not guilty, okay? I just got to this world, and I'm already getting lectured. I just nodded without saying anything, but the old woman seemed satisfied. Then she left the room with the doctor.
Now, it was just me and Eirian... I don't think I should call him like that, especially since he's the older brother to this character. Seriously... Why did I have to be isekai'd into this novel?
"Darien? Do you want anything to eat? I'll go get it now," Eirian said with that soft, warm voice, just like I imagined for this character. It still surprises me how real it sounds.
"It's fine, Ei..." Wait, what did Darien call his brother again? Eiri? Oh.
"It's fine, Eiri-niichan, I don't feel hungry, just... thirsty."
My brother. It felt awkward to call this character my brother, but I had to get used to it since I will live in this world now. He gave a small, satisfied smile at my answer. Seriously, just his smile could ease my anxiety and make me feel comfortable with him.
"Okay, but you still need to eat something. I'll go to the cafeteria and ask the staff if they have any fruit."
"Okay, thank you, Eiri-niichan," I replied, trying my best to give him a sweet and cute smile. Because this is one of Darien's charms. The blond boy grinned widely before ruffling my hair, making it messy.
"My little brother is truly an angel, hehehe."
Okay, that was a bit embarrassing and surprising? I could feel my cheeks get a little hot, and they must have been red, because the blond boy just grinned wider before stroking my hair gently this time, leaving me speechless again, and then he left.
I could only stare foolishly at the door where my brother had just passed through before my hand instinctively reached up to the spot the blond boy had touched. "... It feels nostalgic..."
I felt warm and comfortable with Eirian's presence now, even though I had just come to this world. He really existed, and he reminded me of someone. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember who.
Huh, I flopped my body onto this uncomfortable bed before turning towards the window in the room next to my bed. Stars now filled the sky, and a beautiful crescent moon illuminated the night. Even night sight is also so beautiful.
Okay. "What should I do now?"
I'm isekai'd into my own novel, so of course, it shouldn't be a big problem for me since I created this world myself. BUT the problem is...
"I only published one chapter! Dammit!"
That's the problem. I had just published chapter 1 on the night I... Nevermind. And I don't know how this world will function later without the subsequent chapters. I only wrote a few points for the upcoming chapters in my notebook in case I forgot. So, how will this world function if I'm stuck here?
I lived alone, had no one, and it's impossible to try to finish this novel because I hid that notebook in a secret place. What if somebody tries to rewrite or finish this novel? Or, will this world function on its own?
If so, I'm really in big trouble. Because I don't know what will happen, but maybe I can guess? I'm a writer after all. Okay, let's think back.
The world I created this time is a fantasy genre, which means this world has magic, swords, demons, and so on! But I wouldn't make it a typical fantasy like other stories. Wait a minute... "Oh... Oh no"
