Chapter 6:
Oathbound to Gerlince
Exhaustion blanketed the atmosphere—
The air was draped in a gentle breeze—
With a weary body and mind, he walked through the grand corridors of the royal palace.
The sound of his steps claimed the space—slow yet heavy, echoing his fatigue.
"So tired..." Andro muttered, exhaling deeply.
Eventually, he reached the royal balcony.
The balcony was lined with luxurious balustrades—making the flow of music there all the more soothing.
Andro leaned his arms on the balustrade—gazing up at the sky, thinking of his mother.
"Such a beautiful view..." Andro murmured, "if only you were here, Mom."
He held his mother’s silver-coated pendant—now tarnished—gently in his hand.
Then, the sound appeared, without warning.
Tap!
Tap!
Tap!
That sound of footsteps... it felt familiar.
And then, the figure appeared.
"Boo!"
"Ah!"
Andro turned around—eyes wide at the sight of the beautiful pink-haired figure.
It was Miamaru.
"You looked super depressed from afar. What’s up?" Miamaru asked—her voice soft and kind like a dove.
Andro looked down for a moment, before finally answering.
"I was just... thinking about my future."
Miamaru—surprised—raised her eyebrows.
"Your future? Sounds like you’re struggling to figure out your purpose in life."
Andro turned to face Miamaru slowly—his gaze full of determination.
"Like... can I really become a True Warrior who means something to Thyra? Can I truly be useful to those around me?"
Miamaru’s smile faded—her tone grew serious.
"That all depends on you, Andro."
Andro looked at her with a resigned gaze—processing her words.
"What do you mean?"
Miamaru stepped closer—her eyes gentle, yet firm.
