I Moved to Japan and Fell for a Centaur Commander
Can woke up he didn’t feel well
His stomach twisted violently.
Without a word, he bolted from the couch and ran into the bathroom. he started to threw up into the toilet.
Zenara woke up from hearing can throwing up
She rose quickly, hooves clicking softly against the floor as she made her way to the bathroom. There, she found him hunched over the toilet
I’ll get you some water, she said gently.
Can didn’t look up. Okay thank you.
A few minutes passed. he didn't feel to sick, but his head was pounding . Zenara returned, holding a glass of water in one hand.
Drink up, she said, kneeling beside him.
he started drinking the water he felt a bit better.
zenara: I made us breakfast,.
can: I’m not really hungry…
zenara: That’s just your hangover talking, You should eat something.
Can glanced up at her at her she seem worried
can: Alright
He stood he flush the toilet and followed her into the kitchen. The smell of eggs and toast filled the air.
He sat down and took a bite.
These are really good, he said, surprised.
Zenara’s tail flicked slightly. “Thank you. I put a lot of work into them. And the right seasoning.
can: when did you have the time to make this
zenara: well i woke up a bit early so i made breakfast before going back to bed
can: oh
They ate together When they finished, can leaned back in his chair, groaning softly.
I still feel bad
can: they don't need me at the base right
zenara: You still have to report to the base, standing up and collecting the dishes.
ok he walks to the bathroom.
The hot shower helped a little. When he stepped out, wrapped in a towel, he collapsed onto the bed for a moment,
zenara got into the shower.
can still had to get ready he got out of bed
By the time she finished, Can had gotten dressed and was standing and was waiting on the couch for her
she got out the shower dressed
Zenara: you should take it a bit easy ok It’s not good for you to be moving around so much.
can: I’ll be fine can: you ready to go zenara nodded can got up and they both left out the door
they arrive at the base
he felt sick still
he sat down by a tree
Zenara approached Helena, who was nearby The two centaurs began chatting
Can, meanwhile, slumped down under a tree, trying not to throw up again. The cool shade helped a little, but not enough.
He sighed and forced himself to his feet. If he was going to survive the day, he needed to at least try to get out of extreme training.
He made his way to the command office, . He knocked once, then pushed the door open.
The officer looked up from his desk, raising an eyebrow. Is there a problem?
Can rubbed head. “Yeah… I’ve got a really bad hangover last night Any chance I can take a break from extreme training today?
The officer chuckled. Can, you’re funny. You can leave now.
can: I'm being serious, I had way too much to drink last night.
The officer’s smile faded slightly. “Okay, now you’re dragging the joke. It’s not funny the second time.
the door open
Zenara stepped into the room, Her expression was unreadable, but her eyes locked onto Can with a flicker of concern.
zenara: You should be taking it easy. You drank a lot last night.
The officer stiffened right, Okay, Can… you can take a bit of a break. But you’ll still need to do some drills or light training.
can :Okay
Zenara stepped forward reached out for can, but Can gently waved her off.
“I’m okay… just a bit dizzy. Thanks, though
but it would make me happy if you came
zenara nodded.
they both arrive at the medic office the
zenara and can enter the medics office
The medic’s office was quiet, the scent of herbs and antiseptic.
medic look up the medic was a centaur name Clover
Clover: hello, are you can??
can: Yeah

clover got up and place a thing on can arm to check his blood pressure was kind of high
clover put gloves and put a metal object under can shirt he felt a cold metal object touch his chest
zenara was jealous he tail was flicking with irritation
clover finish check his vitals and stop checking his breathing
clover: make sure you Hydrate and walk a little No combat. No sparring. And don’t push yourself.
can: ok
can and zenara left out the medic office
they both went outside
can saw the vending machines
can: I'm going to get me something to drink ok
zenara: (stern) no soda ok the doctor said hydrate
can: don't worry mi not in the mood for soda
He wandered off, heading behind the barracks toward a vending machine. He just wanted something cold to drink.
But before he could reach the machine, a shadow loomed over him.
Helena approach can Her hooves stomped the ground as she approached, and before Can could react, she grabbed him by the front of his shirt and lifted him off the
ground
can: Helena what are you doing?!
I heard you took Zenara out drinking, she growled, her grip tightening. You weren’t trying anything to her were you?
“No! Can you put me down?!
You’re lying.
Can wasn't feeling well and patience snapped. Put me down, dumb
Helena: Go ahead, Finish that sentence.
Fine then
Without warning, he threw up—right on her.
Helena scream dropping instantly, stumbling back in horror. Her scream echoed across the base as she turned and ran away flailing and cursing.
Everyone nearby stopped and stared.
Can wiped his mouth, groaning.
Then he ran straight to Zenara.
zenara: What happened?
can: I don’t know, She just picked me up out of nowhere.
Zenara fists clenched. Her tail lashed once behind her.
She turned, hooves already shifting to charge.
Don’t Can said quickly, grabbing her arm. It’s not worth it.
Zenara exhaled through her nose.
She turned back to her recruits.
Can stood beside her.
Despite being human, he joined the training with the other centaur, Zenara stayed close, her eyes flicking to him often.
After a while, Can started to drift toward the vending machine again he was thirsty.
Zenara caught his hand.
I don’t want you walking off okay
can: ok but im thirsty
zenara led him to the commander’s break room. It was off limits to regular personnel, but with Zenara’s permission, no one will questioned it.
The room was quiet, empty except for them.
Can I trust you to stay here until I get back? she asked.
Yes, he said. I won’t leave.
Okay. I’ll be right back with your water.
Time passed
The door creaked open.
Can looked up, expecting Zenara.
It wasn’t.
Helena stood in the doorway, now in a clean uniform. Her eyes locked onto him.
So this is where you ran off to.
Not really, Can said.
She stepped closer, her hooves thudding against the floor. She grabbed him by the shirt again this time not lifting him, but her grip was tight.
You really think you could get away with what you did? You stained my new uniform.
That’s your fault, Can snapped. I told you to put me down. I wasn’t feeling well.
Helena’s eyes narrowed. She reached into her belt and pulled out a knife.
You think I’m going to let that slide? After you took Zenara drinking and ruin my uniform
Before Can could react, the door burst open.
Zenara She didn’t hesitate. In one fluid motion, she galloped forward, knocked the knife from Helena’s hand and slammed into her with her full
centaur weight. Helena crashed to the floor, pinned beneath Zenara’s frame.
Then Zenara started punching.
Hard.
Again. And again.
Zenara stop! Can shouted, trying to pull her back.
She didn’t hear him.
can: Zenara you’re scaring me!
She froze.
Her fists hovered in the air, trembling. Then she stood, and bolted from the room, hooves pounding against the floor as she ran.
Can looked at Helena bruised, he turned and ran after Zenara without hesitation.
Zenara wait! Can called out, running after her.
But she was too fast.
He searched the base, looking though training fields, calling her name. His heart pounded from fear. Fear that he’d hurt her.
then
Finally, he found her.
She was by a quiet pond tucked behind the base, her large centaur frame was near the water’s edge. she saw can and turn her back to him, her head low.
Can: (gently) This where you ran off to?
Zenara didn’t look at him.
can got a bit close
zenara: Don’t come close. I don’t wanna scare you.
can stopped
Her voice was quiet. Heavy.
Can: I’m sorry.
He took a step closer, but she shifted away slightly, keeping distance between them.
can: zenara I didn’t mean to upset you he continued. It’s just what you were doing back there it scared me.
But I still love you.
Zenara didn’t respond. She picked up a small pebble and tossed it into the pond. It made a soft plop.
can: Please Don’t push me away.
stepping closer
She didn’t move this time.
can: I’m sorry I said that. I love you. Deeply.
Zenara’s shoulders slumped. She picked up another pebble and tossed it. Then another. Her tail flicked once, slowly.
Can knelt beside her and picked up a rock. He tossed it into the pond it didn’t skip, just sank.
He reached out and gently wrapped his arms around her centaur body, resting his cheek against her side.
Zenara’s breath hitched. She wiped her eyes.
Thank you for protecting me,w Can whispered.
Always, she replied, her voice a bit quiet.
can: I don’t ever want you to feel like I don’t love you, he said. I love you a lot.
Zenara’s hand loosened, and the pebbles she’d been holding dropped into the dirt.
There’s nothing you could do to make me stop loving you Can said. Nothing. Please talk to me.
Her voice trembling I'm sorry you had to see that side of me
It’s okay, Can said. I don’t mind that you did that. But please don’t let your emotions take over like that again.
Okay, my love
Zenara finally turned to look at him. her sadness begin to fade.
Can gently reached up, brushing a tear from her cheek.
I love you, he said softly.
Zenara leaned down, her face close to his.
I love you too.
And then, without another word, she kissed him.
It was slow, tender.
When they pulled apart, Can smiled faintly.
Should we head home? he asked.
Zenara nodded. Okay.
They arrived home The walk had been quiet, but not uncomfortable. The tension between them had softened.
Zenara stepped inside first, her uniform still ruffled and stained from the fight with Helena.
Can followed behind her, glancing at her back.
can: you should take off your clothing.
Zenara froze mid step What!? she snapped, her face turning bright red.
Can’s eyes widened Wait no! That’s not what I meant! I meant you should change your clothes! I said that in the worst way possible!
completely flustered. I didn’t mean it like that!
Zenara: Fine If you insist.
She began to unfasten her uniform.
Wait no Can reached out instinctively to stop her, and his hand held .
Zenara let out a soft, surprised sound a quiet Gasp
Can jumped back. I didn’t mean to!
I’ll just go make dinner! I’m sorry!
But before he could flee, Zenara caught his wrist.
I’m just teasing you, she said, her voice low and amused.
Can’s heart was pounding, and his face was red
Don’t do that! You know these walls are paper thin Someone might get the wrong idea if they hear us!
Zenara leaned in slightly, her expression calm and unbothered. It doesn’t matter who’s listening.
Can’s heart pounded in his chest. But he remembered how hard she’d pushed herself today—at the base, in the fight, and emotionally. He didn’t mind helping her.
Hey, he said, calming himself. Is it okay if I help you? You’ve been tense all day. I could work the tension out of your muscles if that’s okay with you.
Zenara paused, considering.
Okay, she said. But don’t get any funny ideas.
I won’t, Can said. I just want to help you relax.
Zenara lay down, her large centaur body settling comfortably on the floor. Her human torso rested forward, arms folded, as her equine half stretched out behind her.
Can approached slowly, placing his hands gently on her back.
She tensed at first.
Please tell me if you’re uncomfortable, he said softly.
zenara: Okay.
He began to massage her shoulders and back, working carefully along the powerful muscles of her centaur frame.
He moved slowly, attentively, easing the tension from her body.
His fingers traced the lines of strain in her shoulders, down her spine.
After a while, Zenara let out a long breath and closed her eyes.
When he finished, she stood up and stretched, her movements lighter and more fluid.
Thank you, she said.
Then she leaned in and kissed him.
It was quiet. Simple. But full of warmth.
And Can smiled.
can: we should head to bed ok
zenara: ok
can: i love you zenara
zenara: i love you too they share a small kiss
before going to bed
the next day they both went to the base
Helena didn't come close
zenara was still tense can put his hand her centaur frame
calm her a bit down but she was still in a aggressive stace when Helena try to get near can zenana would be by can fast can was getting annoyed of this
can: zenana its ok
zenara: no its not she threated you
can: well still don't you think that you beat her enough where she learn her lesson
zenara: yeah but im not holding back if she harms you
can: ok

can could see zenara was highly tensed
can: hey Helena
Helena was a bit scared to speak to can: hey Helena i like to talk about yesterday and im sorry about not giving to much context
zenara was about to interject but can stop her
Helena: i was in the wrong i for threaten you
can: i know but i cant hate you i care about everyone but also try to keep your emotions in check ok
Helena: ok can walk back to zenara she was still tease can got close to zenara
and
Suddenly, Zenara’s back leg jerked.
Can flinched hard, jumping back.
Whoa Zenara! he blurted, It’s me! It’s just me!
Zenara froze. Her ears flicked back, and she turned around quickly, eyes filed with guilt.
I’m sorry, she said, her voice tight. It was a reflex.
I didn’t realize you were that close
Can walked close to Zenara and placed a hand on her centaur frame again. She eased down a bit more under his touch relaxed, calm.
Then suddenly, a voice called out on the intercom.
Officer: Can, report to the base office.
Can turned, his hand slipping away off zenara centaur frame. She watched him go, her expression tightening.
She knew what was coming. Without a word, she followed him. When they
reached the officer’s room, Zenara stopped just outside the door.
Inside, the officer looked up from his desk.
Officer: I just did a way deeper background check and I believe this base won’t do for you.
Can felt his heart tighten.
Can: What do you mean?
Officer: You have the ability to stop time. Those abilities are beyond a gift. Only one percent of people have that kind of power.
Zenara, standing outside, felt bit sadness.
She knew what this meant Can would be transferred.
A better base.
A place to train him properly.
But it would mean leaving her.
The officer looked at Can’s face. He saw it, the devastation.
Officer: Well there is another option. Since you and Zenara are such a strong force together, I’m giving you a choice.
You can go to the new base or stay here.
It’s your call.
Can didn’t hesitate.
Can: I wanna stay here. With Zenara. I don’t wanna leave her.
Outside, Zenara felt a mix of happiness and sadness. He chose her but he was giving up something big.
she felt a bit guilt he choose her over becoming stronger but she knows can loves her and he sacrifice anything to be with her
a chance to be with others like him. A chance to grow.
Officer: So is that a yes or no? You have to be sure.
Can: No. I could master my time stopping power but none of that matters if I lose her.
I can’t. I wish to stay.
The officer nodded and handed him the paperwork. Can sign it.
Officer: Just so you know, you also won’t be able to rank up. You’ll stay a rookie.
Can: I don’t mind.
zenara outside felt guilt, he chose her over becoming stronger, but she knows can loves her and he would sacrifice anything to be with her
The officer exhaled, relieved.
Officer: “Thank goodness you stayed. We’ve been losing the base championship.
Can: Championship?
Zenara stepped into the room.
Zenara: Yeah. It’s coming up later tonight. All the best elites, rookies,
and commanders will be there. What happens is, each base forms a team.
A few officers pick who form their base will compete. Whichever team wins gets the Best Base title.
Can: Well… how much time do we have?
Officer: “You’ve got four hours of training before tonight.
Can (turning to Zenara): “Zenara, I’ve got a training thing. I kind of wanna do it. Would you let me mount you?
The officer’s eyes widened slightly. He knew this could be a bombshell.
Officer: Can... I’m not gonna be able to save you from her wrath. You really shouldn’t have asked that.
Zenara walked up to Can and placed a firm arm on his shoulder. Her voice was calm, but commanding.
Zenara: Follow me. Outside.
Can: “Yeah, I think I’ll just—uh—change my—
Zenara (sharply): Now.
Can: “Yes, ma’am.
They left the office together.
Can (nervously): You’re not gonna beat me up, are you?
Zenara: Not at all. I just didn’t need him to know that I said yes.
Can: So does this mean you let me mount you whenever?
zenara: You are pushing it
They stepped outside into the training yard. Zenara called over one of the recruits.
Zenara: Bring me a rifle and a saddle.
The recruit dropped the gear on the ground and ran off clearly spooked by what he’d overheard in the office.
Can picked up the saddle and walked over to Zenara.
Zenara: Aren’t you going to say thank you for allowing you to ride me?
Can: Thank you.
Zenara: And you should ask a centaur before putting a saddle on. It’s respectful.
Can (smiling): Okay, my beautiful wife, may I be allowed to put a saddle on you?
Zenara blushed.
Zenara: I mean… in a respectful way.
Can: I can do that. If you like.
Zenara: You don’t have to.
Can began saddling her carefully.
Can: Just need to make sure the belts are tight—
Zenara (correcting): Those aren’t belts. They’re actually called girths.
Can: Girths??
Zenara: Yeah. They’re kind of like belts, but they’re called girths.
Can: I didn’t know that. I always just called them belts.
Can finished putting the saddle on, checking the girths one last time
Can grabbed the rifle and immediately noticed the weight. He checked the chamber and blinked.
Can: These are real rounds. Are you sure you want me training with live ammo?
Zenara: (calmly) It’ll be fine. Besides, they won’t let you use real rounds during the competition.
This is your only chance to get a feel for it.
Can: “Alright… so what am I shooting?
Zenara pointed toward a row of distant targets lined up across the field.
Zenara: Those. But not from the ground. You’ll be shooting while riding me. First at a walk, then a run.
Can slung the rifle over his back and stepped toward her. He grabbed the saddle and mounted carefully.
Can: Okay. Start walking.
Zenara began to move, her hooves steady on the dirt.
Can adjust his grip, trying to find balance. At a walk, he managed fine. But when she picked up speed into a run, his balance wavered.
Can: Whoa—okay, this is harder than it looks.
From the side, the officer stepped out of the building, arms crossed.
Officer: You’re holding the saddle wrong. Let me show you.
He approached and adjusted Can’s posture guiding his foot into the stirrup, repositioning his hands, and correcting his center of gravity.
Officer: There. Keep your core tight. Don’t lean too far forward. Let her movement guide you.
Zenara started walking again. This time, Can held steady. When she broke into a run, he stayed balanced, his body moving with hers.
Can unslung the rifle, lined up his shot, and fired. The first target shattered. Then the second. Then the third.
He emptied the magazine, each shot landing clean.
Can: That's all?
Zenara: nope, that was just the warm up. Now I want to see if you can protect me.
The officer stepped forward, taking the rifle from Can and handing him a fake training rifle. Then he handed Zenara a wooden sword.
Can: Wait—what’s this for?
Suddenly, the officer jumped back and shouted
Officer: be ready!
Zenara instinctively shifted into a defensive stance.
Zenara: You cover my sides. I’ll handle the front.
Can raising the fake rifle.
Can: I'm ready.
Can held the wooden rifle in his hands, adjusting his grip as the officer approached.
Officer: Your job isn’t to attack it’s to protect. That rifle is your shield. If anything gets past Zenara’s guard, you block it. Got it?
Can: Got it.
Officer: Zenara, you ready?
Zenara: (calmly) Just don’t hit too hard.
Officer: I’ll try not to.
The officer charged. Zenara met him head on, their wooden swords clashing,
She held her ground, but the officer swung low toward her flank.
Can reacted too late.
The wooden blade struck Zenara’s side.
Officer: You can’t let that happen. You’re her shield. If she gets hit, you fail.
Can: ok, I'll be on guard again.
They reset. Zenara took a ready stance, and Can adjusted his position in the saddle, gripping the wooden rifle tighter.
The officer came in again faster this time. Zenara parried, but the officer twisted and aimed for her side.
Can blocked it with the rifle, the wood clacking loudly as he deflected the blow.
Officer: Good. Now keep your eyes on everything. You’re not just riding you’re guarding.
The sparring intensified. Zenara and the officer exchanged rapid strikes, her hooves shifting with precision.
Can stayed alert, blocking every attack that slipped past her sword. he used the rifle like a shield, intercepting blows aimed at her sides and legs.
Then the officer lunged low, aiming for Zenara’s hind leg.
Can didn’t hesitate.
He leaned hard, swinging the rifle down and catching the strike just in time.
Officer: Nice! That’s what I want to see!
The officer jumped back,
Officer: “Alright. Let’s go full speed.
Zenara nodded, her stance tightening.
The officer charged again, this time relentlessly. Zenara clashed with him, her sword moving in a blur. Can block two strikes in quick succession, one to her side, one
to her hind legs, he was moving with her now, protecting her blind spots.
Then the officer spun and aimed a strike at Can himself.
Can block it, but barely.
Officer: You’re doing well. But don’t forget if you fall, she’s vulnerable.
Can nodded
Zenara and the officer clashed again. This time, when the officer went for her legs, Can was already there, rifle in place. The block was clean.
Officer: “That’s enough. Sparring’s over.
Can exhaled, lowering the rifle.
He leaned forward slightly, resting his head against Zenara’s back.
Can: “You okay?
Zenara: (blushing slightly) I’m fine. You did good.
Can: I just wanted to be close to you.
Zenara’s ears twitched, her cheeks red.
Officer: (grumbling) Get a room, you two.
Can: Right. My bad.
Can slid off Zenara’s back, reaching for the saddle straps.
Officer (firmly): It’s best not to take it off.
Can blinked. What do you mean?
He turned to Zenara. her tail flicking sharply. She looked agitated tense that hadn’t been there a moment ago.
Can (softly): Zenara? What’s wrong?
Zenara’s eyes flicked toward the edge of the training yard. Helena stood there, watching.
Zenara (quietly, but firm): I don’t want you to take it off. Not while she’s here.
Can followed her gaze, then nodded slowly. He let go of the straps.
Can: Okay. I won’t.
Zenara’s body relaxed just slightly, but her eyes stayed locked on Helena.
can walk back to the officer
can: she almost kick me this morning when Helena was around
officer: she wont be on the base no more since i heard what happen
can: wait why
officer: we cant have threating to harm people with knives
can: well is there and chance you can forgive her like i dont want her to lose her rank or any of that
officer: can are you sure because i know that now sane person would allow that to happen
can: well im sane but i care about everyone is there any chance you can let her stay
officer: hold on i talk to her you both should get home
can: ok
can and zenara got home
That night, Can and Zenara were the first to arrive at the arena for the base championship. Soldiers, hybrids, and elite officers from every corner of the
As they stepped onto the field, a tall, armored figure detached from the crowd Commander Ralvor from Base 32 a dragon commander
an arrogant grin tugged at his lips.
Ralvor: Zenara Eighth place again like last year. Ready to repeat?
Zenara didn’t blink.
Can: You know him? he whispered.
Commander Ralvor, she replied flatly. He loves to talk bad about people because the think he better then everyone.
They moved to the equipment racks.
Zenara took a wooden sword Can picked up a training rifle loaded with dummy rounds.
they headed back out to the field
the referee grab the mic and explained the rules first hit,
first out can made sure the saddle was tightly then he mounted zenara
they battle round after round of sparring, advancing easily through the early elimination matches.
At last, they reached the final
Zenara carrying Can on her back against two elite competitors a tiger hybrid and Commander Ralvor.
then
The bell rang. Zenara surged forward, hooves beating the dirt.
She and the tiger hybrid struck at the same time. Both were eliminated.
Time out! the referee shouted.
Zenara and the tiger hybrid left the field. Can dismounted, and his partner stepped aside.
Match resumes! Now it was Can and Ralvor, one on one. Ralvor stepped forward, wings of plated armor.
Ralvor: You look weak. But I’m feeling generous how about I let you take the first shot? Miss, and I’ll personally make sure you’re kicked off your base
Can: do you think you can win
can laugh. ralvor notice can wasn't bluffing
Ralvor: what's so funny
can: you are so dumb i hope you know i can stop time
ralvor: i wont give you a chance to stop time
ralvor charged
can stop time in a instant
can found a slight gap in his armor, he aimed and fired. Then he stepped aside and resumed time.
Ralvor was hit.
Direct hit! Centaur Base wins! the referee declared as the crowd roared.
Moments later, a lieutenant walk onto the field, mic in hand. Can come to the center.
Can approached, curious.
lieutenant’s voice carried across the arena: You’re not a centaur. You’re human. are you sure a centaur base will fit you. Should you even be here?
Can lifted an eyebrow. What is a centaur a half human, half horse? im full human so i belong at the centaur base even if im not a centaur.
lieutenant hesitated, then tried again: i seen your power first hand you have the power to stop time
can: wait what do you mean
lieutenant: i heard about you
a recruit that has the power to stop time i had to see it for my self
but i heard form the officer of the centaur base you refuse to come to a elite base
to train your time-stopping you could surpass any limit on your own why stay?
Can asked for the mic. When it was handed over, he faced the packed stands. The only reason I stay isn’t for my skill or the title. It’s for Zenara my wife. And I
refuse to leave her.
Zenara’s face went red. She marched forward, seized Can’s arm, and hauled him off the field before the lieutenant could respond.
can drop the mic on the field
The crowd erupted in cheers, not just for victory, but for the love they’d just witnessed
Back in their assigned room, Zenara crossed her arms.
Zenara: That was sweet… but embarrassing.
Can: “I was just speaking from the heart.
He hesitated.
Can: Can I ask you something?
Zenara: “What is it?
Can: “What’s that thing where a guy corners a girl against a wall with his hand? You did it once, and… my heart was racing.
Zenara blinked, then smirked.
Zenara: You mean a kabedon?
Can: Yeah! That. I kind of liked it when you did it before.
Without a word, Zenara stood and backed Can into a corner.
Can (blushing): This feeling is intense…
She leaned in slowly, about to kiss him
when the door burst open.
A camera crew barged in, cameras rolling.
Zenara froze, face burning red. Can stared at them, flustered.
Can: Can we get some privacy?!
The crew backed out immediately, slamming the door behind them.
Can: Please tell me that door locks…
He looked up at Zenara, who hadn’t moved.
Can: “Zenara? You okay?
She blinked, snapping out of her daze.
Can: I really hope those cameras weren’t rolling…
He glanced at the TV in the room live footage was playing. Zenara turned to look, but Can gently stopped her.
Can: Let’s just… go home. Fast.
Zenara nodded.
Can stopped time.
Hand in hand, they walked through the frozen base, slipping away unnoticed.
Back home, Can resumed time. Zenara pulled out her phone and called the officer.
Zenara: We’re home. can you Signing out can and me for the day.
The officer approved it without question
can took the saddle off zenara can and zenara went to bed

They resumed their training. The sky was beginning to darken with evening clouds when a deep, mechanical hum filled the air.
Zenara: Do you hear that?
can: yea
Can paused, eyes narrowing. As a helicopter descended from the clouds.
Can: No… it can’t be.
The helicopter landed in the open lot. The door opened and out stepped Silas, dressed in a long coat, his presence cold and commanding.
Zenara stepped forward, confused.
Zenara: “Who—?
Before she could finish, Silas raised a hand and muttered a spell. A shimmer of light wrapped around her throat silencing her instantly.
Can (furious): You better take that spell off her. Now.
Silas didn’t answer. Instead, he stepped forward and kicked Can hard in the chest, knocking him to the ground.
Silas: “You will not raise your voice at me. And as for your little relationship end it. I’ve found you a proper bride. One worthy of are bloodline.
Can (gritting his teeth): No. I’m not breaking up with Zenara.

can got up Can: Dad, you should leave… while you’re still breathing.
Silas’s eyes flared with rage. He raised his fist to strike but Zenara caught it mid-air.
Zenara (growling): You will not lay a hand on him.
She twisted his wrist and hurled him backward. Silas stumbled, stunned.
Can stepped into an aggressive stance.
Can: I'm not gonna say this again. You should leave while you're still breathing.
Silas stood slowly, brushing the dust off his coat. His expression was unreadable.
Silas: So this is how it is.
Without another word, he turned, climbed back into the helicopter, and disappeared into the sky.
Can exhaled, then turned to Zenara.
Can: Zenara, are you okay?
Zenara: Yes… but was that your father?
Can: Yeah. I don’t like talking about him. He’s controlling. Tried to force me into a marriage last year… so I ran away.
Zenara saw how tense Can was. She stepped closer, wrapping her arms gently around him.
Zenara: I won’t let anything happen to my husband.
Can placed a hand over hers, his expression softening.
Can: Thank you but let’s head home. I’m a bit tired.
Zenara: Okay.

Can sat in the holding room, fists clenched.

Can: So it’s true? The cops really can’t do anything… just cause my dad’s got diplomatic immunity?
Roxton: Yeah. But that’s why I’m here to help.
He reached into a long case and pulled out a rifle sleek, heavy, and familiar.
Can’s heart skipped.
Can (quietly): That rifle…
Roxton (softly): "I know. You never wanted to see it again after what happened.
But you used to love this thing. And I felt a little bit bad, so I repaired it.
He paused, then added with a half smile
Roxton: I was going to give it back to you, but then you disappeared to Japan.
He handed the rifle to Can
Can took the rifle slowly, hands trembling.
Can: Thank you. I never thought I’d hold this again.
can: Ever since I told Zenara the story on this rifle she didn’t run away. She embraced me.
Roxton (smiling): She’s a good one. And hey congrats on getting married. I know this is a terrible time to say it, but I mean it.
Can: “It’s okay. I’m ready now.
Roxton reached into his coat again and slid a revolver across the table.
Can (eyes wide): My revolver I thought my mom locked it away.

He picked up his phone and called his daughter to check on her.
Xyriana (answering): Hey, Dad. What do you want?
Solvian: Just checking in. How’s Can doing?
Xyriana (sweetly lying): Oh, he’s doing fine. Just eating right now.
Solvian: Good. Don’t stress it’s your big day.
Xyriana: I won’t. Bye, Dad.
She hung up, her expression twisting into a sneer.
Across the room, Zenara was gagged and bound in her cage with cuts and burses. Her eyes burned with fury, but she couldn’t speak.
Xyriana (coldly): I hope you know I plan to drain him of every ounce of power before I kill him.
Zenara screamed into the gag.
Xyriana raised her hand and fired another electric orb, silencing her with a jolt of pain.
Meanwhile In Roxton’s Car
Can sat in the passenger seat, holding his rife with trembling hands.
Roxton: You should hide one bullet. Just in case things go wrong.
Can: You know that’s not safe.
Roxton: Neither is walking into a trap unarmed. Just keep it where they won’t find it.
Can nodded and slid a high caliber round into his inner jacket pocket.
Roxton pulled the car up to the mansion gates.
Roxton: This is as far as I go. I can’t help you past this point.
Can: “I know. Thank you, Roxton. You don’t know how much this means to me.
Roxton: Anytime.

Before Can could knock, the butler opened the door.
Butler: Weapons must be emptied. You may keep the rifle unloaded.
Can hesitated, then unloaded the rifle and unholster the revolver and handed over his revolver.
The butler checked him but missed the hidden bullet in his inner jacket pocket.

Can stepped into the grand chamber. At the far end, Zenara was trapped in a cage, gagged and bound. Her eyes widened when she saw him.
he ran forward but Xyriana stepped in his path.
Xyriana (smirking): Don’t worry about her.
From the side, Silas raised his arms.
Silas: Welcome, my son. Your bride awaits.
Can (fed up): I’m not marrying anyone with scales.
He tried to move past Xyriana, but she lashed her tail around him and slammed him to the ground. His rifle skidded across the floor.
Xyriana (mocking): You won’t speak to your future wife like that.
Can (spitting blood): I don’t want you. You’re ugly inside and out.

And something inside him snapped.
Meanwhile…
Solvian was already en route to the mansion when something clicked in his mind.
Solvian (to himself): Wait… Can is already married. This whole thing feels wrong.
He narrowed his eyes. Something was off—and he was about to find out what.
Inside the Mansion Main Hall
Xyriana held can down with her tail
Xyriana stood between Can and Zenara’s cage, her eyes glowing with cruel delight.
Xyriana (taunting): You’re just a weak human. You’ll never be enough.
She raised her hand, charging another electric blast.
But before she could fire, Can broke out her tail grip and lunged forward and punched her hard.
She staggered back, stunned.
Can’s rage was boiling over. His breathing was heavy, his eyes locked on Zenara.
She looked worse than before bruises, cuts, blood. She had suffered.
Can (voice shaking): Did you did you do this to her?
Xyriana (grinning): Yes. She cried your name the whole time.
Can’s hands trembled. Then they clenched into fists.
Can (yelling): I’m going to kill you.

Xyriana started sobbing. I’m sorry! I didn’t mean
Can’s voice cuts through her panic.
Can: You didn’t mean to torture her?
He steps forward.
You didn’t mean to make her scream?

His eyes narrowed. Magic sparked at his fingertips.
Solvian (coldly): Answer this carefully, Can. Were you forced into this marriage?
Can (breathing hard): Yes.
Solvian: So… do you have a death wish for harming my daughter?
Can (pointing to Zenara):That devil hurt my wife. You want to defend her She tortured my wife. Look at her. Those wounds weren’t there before.
Solvian turned and looked at Zenara bruised, bleeding.
He turned to Silas, who stood silently nearby.
Solvian (to Silas): Your diplomatic immunity is revoked.
He picked up Xyriana’s limp body and walked out without another word.
before Solvian left the room he turns to can
Solvian (coldly): You won’t get lucky next time. If you harm my daughter again
Can: You better be lucky. Because if she had killed my wife, she would’ve suffered worse before she dies.

A long silence.
Solvian said nothing more.
He turned and walked out, carrying his daughter.
Can slung his rifle over his shoulder and ran to Zenara
He opened the cage, untied her, and pulled her into his arms.
Can (tears falling): I missed you so much…
Zenara (weakly smiling): I missed you too… Thank you for saving me.
Can: I’ll always come for you. Because I love you.
Zenara: I love you too.
can helped her up, holding her close.
Then Silas stepped forward.
Silas (coldly): You should rethink this marriage.
Can unslung his rifle, turned, and slammed the buttstock into Silas’s face.
Silas collapsed.
Can slung the rifle over his shoulder again
Can (quietly): lets go home
He took Zenara’s hand, and together they walked out of the mansion.
On the way out, he found his ammo and revolver on the ground Can picked up his revolver and the ammo they had taken from him.
he put the revolver in his holster
Can looked at Zenara’s wounds just light cuts, nothing too deep—but it didn’t ease his worry. He needed to get away from here.

He looked back. one of the butlers fired.
Zenara: We have to run. Get on!
Can leapt onto her back. Zenara galloped down the street, hooves pounding the pavement. Can held on tightly there was no saddle, just instinct and desperation.
Then came the roar of motorcycles.
A few of Silas’s butlers were closing in, guns drawn. Bullets tore through the air.

Two more remained. Can fired again, missing a few shots, but clipped one of them. He was down to his last bullet.
He fired and missed.
The last rider aimed straight at them.

Can took the shot by some miracle, he hit the gun. It shattered. The rider stop chasing them.
Can checked his revolver. Empty.
Can: Zenara, I can’t do this alone… I need you.
He handed her the revolver and a few bullets. While running, Zenara reloaded with practiced ease and passed it back.
Can took it, holding it behind him, ready.
Zenara (softly): You never have to do it alone
Then a helicopter appeared overhead.
It opened fire.
Can stopped time instantly. Zenara dodged the frozen bullets. Can fired a few shots at the chopper and resumed time but the bullets shattered harmlessly against its
armor.
He considered aiming for the pilot but didn’t have a second to think.
A police helicopter arrived, followed by a military gunship. Within seconds, the enemy heilcopter was shot down.
Zenara galloped until her hooves screeched against the pavement. Police blocked the road ahead.
Can dismounted.
Drop the weapon! an officer shouted.
Can dropped the revolver immediately. He and Zenara raised their hands.
They were taken in for questioning but later released.
Can was exhausted. His legs barely held him. Zenara supported him gently.
She led him into a nearby forest, to a quiet meadow. Can collapsed onto the grass. Zenara knelt beside him, pulling him close.
Can collapsed onto the grass, his body trembling from exhaustion.
Zenara knelt beside him, her arms wrapping around his shoulders as she pulled him gently against her.
Can (softly): Zenara
She looked down at him, her eyes full of quiet concern.
Can: I’m sorry. I’ve just been so tired. I couldn’t sleep. I’ve been up all night, worrying about you.
Zenara’s arms tightened around him, her voice low and soothing.
Zenara: You don’t have to worry anymore. I’m here, Can. You saved me.
Can: I had to make sure you were okay. I couldn’t rest until I knew you were safe.
Zenara leaned her head against his, her breath warm against his temple.
Zenara: Then rest now. You’ve done enough. Let me take care of you for a while.
Can let out a shaky breath and closed his eyes, finally allowing himself to lean into her warmth.
then
Suddenly, Solvian appeared.
Can tensed no weapons, no strength left.
Solvian: I’m not here to fight. I came to apologize.
Can didn’t trust him, but Solvian continued.
Solvian: You look exhausted. Let me offer you both care and rest.”
Can looked at Zenara. She hesitated, then nodded.
Can: Fine.
They followed Solvian to his mansion. He led them to a guest room with a massive bed. Before they could lie down, he used magic to fully heal Zenara’s wounds.
Solvian: I’ll give you two some privacy.
Zenara’s face turned bright red.
Solvian walked out.
She looked at Can tired, safe, and finally at peace. She climbed into bed beside him, gently pulled him close, and kissed him.
They held each other.
