Onmyou 0: Prologue

“You bastard! How dare you invade my home!” The dragon shouted at an old man with long white hair and beard, wearing a black cloak and white shirt.

“Heat Lance.” Without replying, the old man shot out a lance of flames that pierced through the dragon’s heart, killing it instantly.

“...I’m tired.” The old man, leaving the dragon’s corpse to rot, teleports back to his mansion.

This old man is the strongest sage in the world. At the age of 3, he was able to use and control all magic elements. At age 7, he graduated from the prestigious Alafrone Magic Academy with a distinction. At age 15, he obtained the title of Sage. At the age of 35, with the hero’s help, he defeated the demon lord. 50 years later, at the old age of 85, he still hasn't lost his edge.

Despite that, he was tired of fighting. He wants to live a quiet, peaceful life. Of course, being the sage, no matter how much he shut himself, people always find reason to pick a fight with him.

Thus, he decided to create a new magic, reincarnation magic. Hoping that with this magic, he will reincarnate into the future, where he will be able to live the life he always wanted.

“...I’ve done it!” The old man shouted in joy and excitement.

“I’ve finished the magic formula for reincarnation magic! Hahaha! It took nearly 30 years, but I’ve finally done it!”

The old man looked around his room, and old memories started to play in his head.

Despite hating his life, he also enjoyed it.

“Goodbye, old place. It’s been a good 60 years. Will see you when I get older in my next life.” Despite not having tested the magic, the old man was sure that the magic would work.

He raised his right arm, and a giant white magic circle appeared on top of him.

“Reincarnate!”

“......It’s that dream again…”
