The Holy Seer, Sylvia came under counterattack after trying to predict the existence of the Night City. This had never happened before. Let alone just the Night City, she who was a great person was able to predict everything. However, if something disturbs her then there will be a karma backlash.
Mahendra might not know, but Sylvia knew this was his doing indirectly.
"The Holy Seer got seriously injured like this. Quickly summon the Goddess of Healing!"
Before long the Goddess of Healing, Panacea arrived with a tall man in white gold robes. His long, thin hair had sharp, stern eyes.
The Goddess of Healing, who was all white from head to toenail, looked very agitated as soon as she found the Holy Seer in her room.
"What exactly happened?" The Goddess of Healing asked.
"The Destiny Devourer... they have appeared. They must have appeared!" The Holy Seer exclaimed with breathing heavily.
"Don't talk nonsense. You, who are the Holy Seer in the Upper Realm, believe the words of that
sinner back then?" the man said. He was a Speck of Light, Zia.
A long time ago, a person labeled as a
“sinner” spread a rumor that a Destiny Devourer would appear. The existence of that figure would change and destroy the world. Then the Speck of Light was furious after hearing the Holy Seer say and believing that the extraordinary figure had appeared as the sinner had said.
"I didn't believe it! But now I do! Find them before it's too late!" shouted Sylvia.
The Holy Seer had trouble controlling her emotions. She became irritable and her wounds got worse. She kept saying that the figure of the Destiny Devourer existed. Meanwhile, no one believed her until another figure appeared before them.
"It's already noon, the Holy Seer wound is worsening by the hour, why delay it for so long? Just to talk dirty?"
The figure was so authoritative with light blue clothes like the color of the sky. His expression was calm, but his every word was piercing to the heart. Instantly everyone there bowed respectfully and gave way to see Sylvia's condition.
"Sylvia, don't be too influenced by the words of a sinner. Sleep," said the God of Dreams, Morpheus as he gently rubbed her eyes and put her into a deep sleep.
The Goddess of Healing gathered with them after finishing her task. She stood still for a long time in the outer garden as she listened to the conversation between the God of Dreams and the Speck of Light.
"That sinner has disturbed the content of the Holy Seer's prophecy. I don't believe he will recover quickly."
"Why are you so narrow-minded? No one knows fate. In the end, what will happen has already happened."
"Destiny Devourer do not exist. It hasn't appeared for thousands of years."
"Wait, I think I misspoke." Morpheus turned around and said, "After what Sylvia experienced, I am convinced that the Destiny Devourer may have appeared."
"You even think the same thing? Even the Celestial King didn't say anything about this, let alone the Universal Emperor. Why do you believe that nonsense so easily?"
"Those of us who are capable of thinking must be wary of everything. Go down and find out about that figure with Panacea," Morpheus said as he looked at the goddess.
Zia looked back and found Panacea who obeyed Morpheus' orders without saying much. Zia looked at her in surprise.
"Even the Goddess of Healing."
"Remember, that person cannot be predicted. Fate does not record it. Don't go back before you two find a clue."

Some ancient writings had sprung up around Mahendra. The striking colors had made him understand a little of this power. However, before he could attack, the wolf took the initiative to attack first.
"This wolf is definitely no ordinary wolf."
The wolf let out a fireball from its mouth. Without hesitation, it attacked Mahendra with all its strength. A little too late and Mahendra would be injured again, but at least he still had the energy left to dodge the fireball.
"You challenge me? Okay!"
A few steps away from the wolf who was now very alert. It looked like he was going to attack again and this time Mahendra would take the opportunity first. He pointed his palm forward and for some reason he was able to chant the ancient incantation very fluently.
"What's wrong with me?"
Inside his complicated mind, the ancient mantra continued to guide him and he recited the mantra quickly until a fireball emerged from his palm.
"Feel the consequences!" Along with Mahendra's shout, the fireball shot out so fast that it knocked the wolf to the ground.
First Grade Devouring Power, Fireball. The power that
resulted from mimicking the wolf's
attack. However, this was not an imitation power but a devouring power. Once Mahendra devoured it, the wolf would not be able to unleash its power again.
The threat had disappeared, and so had its power from the ancient spell. Mahendra could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"I don't understand how I did it but now I feel very weak. Is it because of this power itself?"
Mahendra sat pondering as he recalled the words of the blind man. Until now he was still not quite sure if the blind man was really the Wandering King who was one of the four strongest legends. However, on the other hand, he kept remembering the man's warning that told him to hide his weakness.
"There are no witnesses around. The wolf that had seen me is also dead. So I don't need to worry," muttered Mahendra who was actually feeling uneasy for no reason.
He just didn't know that his existence as a Devourer Destiny was beginning to be suspected by someone living in the Upper Realm.
"This ancient power keeps absorbing my life energy, I got to thinking what if the cursed person before me actually also has the same power? Then would I really only live for 5 years?"
Mahendra walked over to the wolf and then turned his gaze toward the bird. He held it up with both hands for a moment, a feeling of regret making his heart sad.
Mahendra was silent for a long time as he looked at the bird. After a while he then muttered, "It's my fault."
All the members of the adventuring group reassembled in the interior of the forest. They were all shocked by the very strange situation with the lifeless wolf. Meanwhile, Mahendra was badly injured.
"Are you okay? How did you do it?"
"There seems to be a trace of magic in the attack that has injured this wolf. Maybe this guy has a talent for magic," Mi said.
The Muscular Man's face now changed, he smiled and laughed as he patted Mahendra's uninjured shoulder.
"You have a talent for magic! Oh, I have a recommendation for a magic academy. There if you pass the exam then your life will be guaranteed."
There were not many sentences that Mahendra could understand so Mi took part in explaining with certain gestures while pointing to some letters written on the previous paper.
"A magic academy that can guarantee my life?"
"I think they know I'm poor. But I'm really grateful to them.""Thank you all," Mahendra said.
"Stop praising him, let's get your wound treated."
Effortlessly the Muscular Man slung Mahendra over his own shoulder and carried him back to the inn.
Evening at the Cery Inn. The group of members had returned to their respective rooms, and so had Mahendra. However, that night he couldn't sleep, something inside of him kept bothering him until he decided to go out staggering.
