Chapter 4:
The Big Book of Wobble & Muffin's
Muffin and Wobble sat by the river. The river sparkled and danced. It made a happy, bubbling sound. It sounded like a whispered song.
"Mama?" Wobble asked. He dipped a tiny paw in the cool, silky water. "Why does the river sound so chatty?"
Muffin chuckled. She dipped her nose close to the water. "It sounds chatty, doesn't it, little ripple-watcher?" Muffin said. "But the river is not just chattering... it's giggling!"
Wobble's eyes grew wide. He looked full of wonder. "Is it giggling? Is it happy? Why is it so happy?" Wobble chirped. "What is it doing, Mama? Where is it running so fast?"
"The river," Muffin explained softly, her voice gentle like the stream, "is a very excited storyteller." "It never stops telling stories!" "It gathers sunshine from the big sky." "It picks up sleepy whispers from the tall mountains." "It learns little secrets from the deep forest trees."
"Every splash and gurgle you hear," Muffin said, "is the river telling its happy stories." "It tells them to the brave little fish." "It tells them to the smooth stones." "It tells them to every creature it meets!"
Muffin leaned closer. Her voice was a warm murmur. "It runs so fast because it is bursting with joy to share its news!" "It wants to take its wonderful, watery tales to the big, wide ocean." "It just can't wait to tell everything it's seen!"
Wobble watched the water bubble past. He imagined tiny, happy messages on each swirling ripple. He understood. The river was not just water. It was a tireless, joyful storyteller, always rushing to share its wonderful, watery tales.
The River's Song
A busy path of silver bright, The river runs, both day and night. With gurgles soft and happy splash, It carries tales in joyful dash. From mountain peak to forest deep, It hums the secrets that they keep. A tireless voice, a watery friend, Its singing stories have no end.
