Chapter 04 : So I Rescued The Drakin from The Holy Knights

I lose my control. I push the ground with my toe. In the blink of an eye, I get closer to that man and strike a punch on his face. His head rips clean off from his shoulder and falls far in the distance while burning with my dark blue flame. Everyone present there is traumatized. My flame is blazing more furiously than the last time. It is connected with my emotions. Another knight shouts, "Kill this monster!" 

They start attacking all at once. They are much slower than Vaelya. I avoid their blades and give all of them the taste of my blazing punch. After a few seconds, some lost their heads, and some lost their chests. And then all of them burn with my flame. 

Then I notice a soldier near the cage trembling with fear. I walk to him. He throws his sword away and says, "I am surrendering! Please forgive me. Please let me go." I say, "When those Drakins were begging for their lives, what did you do? Tell me, what did you do?" He says with fear, "My higher-ups ordered me to do it. Please, I had no choice. I had to obey them. Please let me go." I say, "They were telling you to do it. You had no choice, right?" Soldier says, "Yes. Please let me go. I have a family...." "Only you have a family, huh? What about the ones you killed? Look at them! Who killed their family?" I shout. "Please. I had no choice but to obey my commander." He begs. "Yes, yes. You had to obey orders. My bad. Now, I am ordering you. Go, ask forgiveness from all the Drakari in the cage. If one of them forgives you, I will let you go." I say. The soldier quickly goes inside the cage and starts begging every Drakari. No one forgives him. He is begging them again and again. 

I say, "Princess, hold him for me." Vaelya goes inside the cage and holds the soldier down. I go inside the cage. I activate my flame on the index of my right arm and burn the collars on the necks of all Drakari. I say to all Darkari, "I want every one of you to punish this monster in human skin. If anyone among you hesitates or shows any mercy to him, I will make sure that Drakari is handed over to the holy knights." I get out of the cage with Vaelya. Behind me the rage erupts.

I don't look back. But I hear a scream. The scream is welcoming the long-delayed justice.

Vaelya looks at me with a strange look. I say, "If you think I am doing something cruel, then go look around the village. Just look at what they did. If I hesitate to punish insects like him, then that means I am supporting him. And I don't support evil. I will return their cruelty to them. Not less but more. The Goddess Kali never shows any mercy to the evil. So, I will set an example that if anyone does something cruel, the punishment I will give to that person will be more cruel."

After a while the screaming stops. All Drakari come outside of the cage and stand in front of us. One of them comes near us. She bows her head. Vaelya hugs her and says, "I am sorry, Zyrra. If I had come here a few moments before, you wouldn't have suffered." So this is one of Vaelya's friends in Drakin. Zyrra says, "You are here now, princess. Thanks to you, we are saved. Princess! They killed my whole family. I was scared, you know." Zyrra starts crying. All Drakari start crying, Vaelya too. I lower my head. Why did they have to suffer? Why? 

After some time, they calm down. Zyrra says, "Princess Vaelya, please introduce this human who saved us today." Vaelya says, "He is called Agni, the Hero of the Demon Realm." Her sentence startles me. Did she just introduce me as a hero? I look at Vaelya with surprise. Vaelya gives me a warm smile and looks away with shyness.

What? Why?

All Drakari kneel before me. I quickly say, "What are you doing? Raise your heads. And help me." All Drakari stand up. Zyrra says, "Order us Hero." I say, "It's not an order. It's a request. I know you aren't in your best health. But please search every part of the village for survivors. And bring them here. I want to save everyone who is still alive." Zyrra says, "As you wish, Hero." All Drakari start searching. 

Vaelya says, "I'll search too." I say, "No. You should go to your highness. And ask him for permission to bring survivors of Drakin into the demon realm. Without his permission, Drakin won't be able to enter the demon realm." Vaelya says, "Then you should go. I'll search." I say, "No. If Your Highness doesn't see you with me. He will first kill me, then ask me questions. So, you go." Vaelya sighs and says, "Alright. I'll come back soon." Vaelya leaves through the portal. 

I see a sword lying on the ground. Maybe that belonged to one of the soldiers. I take it. The dead soldier in the cage has a scabbard. I take that too. Then I put the sword into the scabbard. 

After a while, Vaelya, along with Varthion and some demon knights, comes through the portal. Varthion bows before me. I say, "What are you doing, your highness?" Varthion says, "In the past we hardly found one or two survivors. But thanks to you, my hero, a lot of Drakin are saved. They are our friends from long ago. So, I should respect you. Thank you." 

- "But you are a king, your highness. Don't bow your head." 

- "I am a king. That's why it's my duty to give respect to the hero. Because he did something I couldn't do." 

- "It is my duty as the hero of demons." 

- "What is the sword for, hero Agni?"

- "This sword needs to be analyzed. I have some questions for it."

- "Alright, Hero Agni. I will arrange that for you."

All Drakari arrive with 8 survivors. But they are badly wounded. Varthion orders his knights to bring all survivors to the demon realm and immediately treat their wounds. The knights obey the order. Zyrra comes in front of Varthion and says, "Thank you, demon king." Varthion looks away with shyness and says, "It is my duty. Nice to meet you again, Miss Zyrra." Zyrra says, "Nice to meet you, Demon King." Varthion says, "Come with us to the demon realm." Zyrra looks around at her village and sighs. She says, "Yes, your highness." 

I look at Vaelya and smirk. Vaelya whispers, "What is it?" I whisper, "Your brother likes her." Vaelya quickly looks at Varthion with wide eyes. Then he looks at me and whispers, "Yes! You are right!" I smile from ear to ear. 

We return to the Demon Realm with 14 Drakari and 8 Drakar. Healers of demon realms try their best to heal their wounds. All Drakins are given shelter, food, and basic needs in the Ashkaran. Varthion appoints some maids to look after them. 

Varthion introduces a demon scholar to me. His name is Rigner. I give him the sword and say, "Please be careful and don't touch the blade with bare hands." Rigner says, "Thank you, Hero, for giving me this chance. I was hoping to analyze the holy weapons for a long time. But we couldn't obtain any until now. I will use all my knowledge to analyze this sword. And give you the details of it soon enough." I say, "Thank you, Mr. Rigner." Rigner takes the sword and leaves. Varthion says, "It is your first day with us. But you've already been through a lot. Take some rest, Hero Agni." "I am thinking the same." I say with a smile. Varthion calls out, "Eriei!" A female demon in a maid dress comes to us and says, "Yes, your highness." Varthion says, "Take Hero Agni to his room. If he needs anything, arrange it as soon as possible. No need to ask for my orders. Always remember he is our hero." Eriei says, "As you wish, your highness." Varthion says, "Eriei is your personal maid from now on, Hero Agni." I exclaim with surprise, "Why!" Varthion says, "You are the hero of the Demon Realm. A personal maid is necessary to take care of you and do your housework. Almost every royal family has a personal maid and butler. Let her serve you." Varthion leaves the room. 

Eriei says, "I am Eriei, my lord. At your service." I say, "Nice to meet you, Eriei." 

- "It's a pleasure to meet you, my lord. I'll bring you to your room, my lord."

- "Sure, let's go."

We are walking in the hallway. But I am getting a feeling that someone is watching me with hostile intention. Why!!

We don't have to walk that far. We stop before a room. Eriei says, "This is your room, my lord. And the next room is mine. Call me whenever you need something. I'll come in a moment." I say, "Thank you, Eriei. Now you take a rest in your room. I'll let you know if I need anything." Eriei says, "As you wish, my lord."

I enter into the room. Wow! Beautiful decoration! This is what a royal bedroom looks like! 

I sit on the bed. So soft! I let my body go on the bed. Feels so good! My eyes are closing with the comfort. 

I get up at the sound of knocking. Someone is knocking at the door. It takes some time to recollect the thought of where I am! 

Yes. I am in the demon realm. 

I get down from the bed and walk towards the door. Who is knocking at night? I open the door and get paralyzed.

Vaelya is standing at the door wearing a white dress. "May I come in your room?" She asks with shyness.
