The Exam

MODERN WORLD:                                                                                                                               Rowan, a boy from India, starts studying seriously at his home to fulfill his dream of topping the college entrance exams conducted by the National Talent Search Organisation. He follows a daily schedule of learning, eating, and sleeping. This makes him fat. He doesn't hang out at other places like his friends used to. His parents were poor. They tried to borrow money from their relatives, but none of them came forward.                                                                                                                                                                          They managed to give their son the best education possible by taking out an education loan and selling some of their jewelry. He used to live under the four walls of his house. He was a shy and introverted guy.Rowan has only two friends, named Henry and Richard.They used to study in the same school, but due to financial problems, Rowan had to change schools. Henry and his parents were very kind to Rowan, while Richard's parents felt disgusted by his presence.                                                                            THE EXAM DAY:                                                                                                                                           On the day of the exam, his alarm rings out so loudly for the first time in his life that he gets so excited and wakes up early in the morning, but he doesn't find his parents at home. He gets panicked and searches every corner in his house, asking his relatives, friends, and neighbours for help. But none of them knew where his parents were. As he realized he was getting late for his exam, he freshened up and searched for some money in the house. He picked up his father's phone and kept it in his pocket, and managed to find enough money to take him to the exam centre.                                                                                                                                                           He takes a taxi to arrive at his examination center. He arrived at the exam center and gave the money to the taxi driver, and he started checking his Hall Ticket Number on a sheet which was pasted on a Notice Board outside the gate of the exam center. He finds his allocated room where he should write his exam. Half an hour before the exam, he borrowed a formula book from his friend who was also allocated in the same exam center and started checking it and trying to memorize it. After reading it, he returned the book to his Henry and asked his parents to keep his phone safe and return it to him after the exam is completed.                                                                                            The checking process for the exam started with a security person checking the body if there were any electronic gadgets or any other accessories used for malpractice, and another security person checks the admit cards and verification cards of the students appearing for the exam. As he entered the examination hall, he was feeling nervous as there were different kinds of people, and this was his first time to appear for a competitive exam. The invigilator takes a biometric scan of the face and fingerprint of the students and shows them their allocated seat. Rowan took his allocated seat. The invigilator checks the whole class and distributes the question papers and answer sheets to start the exam.                                                                                                                                                                         Rowan starts writing his exam, and after a certain time, he finds difficulty in remembering formulas and some topics, which eventually leads him to tension. The clock started ticking faster and faster, so that the exam time had finished when he had only completed half of his paper. His brain was filled with fear and agony as he knew that his exam was gone. He received his phone from his friend's parents. He was devastated and went to a park near his exam center and sat in a chair.                                                                                                                                                                            As he sat in a chair, and cried as his dream shattered. After a couple of minutes, his father's phone buzzes with messages and calls from his relatives, which only adds to his fear and tension. He asks how his friends wrote their exam. Henry says he wrote the exam better than all the previous ones, while Richard says he wrote the exam excellently.Rowan requests that Henry's parents drop him at his house. They say that they always have a seat left in their car and welcome Rowan. Henry's parents leave Rowan near his house and bid farewell to him. While returning to his house, he fell on the ground unconsciously.                                                                                                                                         THE MAGICAL WORLD:                                                                                                                               After waking up, he finds himself falling from the sky into the sea. A few fishermen see him drowning and rescue him. He thanks them for saving his life. Then they ask Rowan which country he is from. He says he is from India, but the people were confused because they had never heard of a country named India. Rowan pinches himself, thinking whether he was dreaming or not. He was seeing new creatures around him, and people didn't know his country. So he asked them what the name of the country he was currently in was.                                                                                                                                                                            They said that "We are in Andcape Gadsala, the country in the middle of the continent Percis.Rowan searched his pockets for his phone. His brain is fully confused, and he went outside asking for a phone, but everyone looked at him weirdly, and some even asked what type of clothes he was wearing. He thought this was some kind of prank and ran away from there, but as he went away from there, he watched new beings, creatures, and tools.He saw people flying by riding some magical creatures and some rich people using some kind of teleporters.He saw some people using magical artifacts, casting spells using a wand, meditating near a tree, and doing business using a currency called "magical shards". Then he realised the people are using magic for their work and realised that he had been transported to a magical world.                                                                                                                                                                          He then meets a man who's in his mid-30s, thinking deeply about something. The man asks if he is missing and where his parents are.Rowan looked confused and didn't know what to tell.The man thinks he's an orphan and introduces himself as John.Rowan also introduces himself and asks if he could give some shelter.John feels pity for Rowan and takes him to his house.Then, John gives him a glass of water to drink and starts asking about Rowan.Rowan says, "What I'm telling may be weird, but it's true, I think I am transported from another world to this magical world.
 Although John is shocked for a few moments, he remembers that this was possible as he went through a book in his school library, but it is a hidden art which was known only to a few legendary gods and even some Demons. Rowan fears when he hears that even demons live in this magical world. Then John thinks for some time and proposes a deal to Rowan Clark. John says, "If you prepare well and score well in the Magic Evaluation exams and get admission to the prestigious  Ancient World Magic School, I will provide you with all necessary accommodations for living here and also hide your secret.
 Rowan says, "But I don't know how to perform magical spells or have any resources to study and learn about them".Then John replies, "I'll teach you them if you accept my offer. Although Rowan wants to reject John's offer but he can't because he doesn't know how long he will be trapped in this world and survive here. So, without any hesitation, he accepts the order and makes a magical bond letter where both of them should pour a drop of blood for the agreement, but the agreement shatters. Rowan doesn't understand what happens and asks John to just create an agreement letter and sign it.
 John refuses it and says, "Each world has its own rules, not all rules of your world apply here, and don't try to break the rules of this world because every moment in this world is being watched by the Gods, and necessary action would be taken when the time comes. John then realises that Rowan doesn't have a magical bloodline and then thinks of donating some of his blood. Although this is a tough and painful process, it's the only way they can agree to happen.
John tells Rowan that he doesn't remember the process fully and suggests that Rowan come to the library and search for the book. Then John uses his magical artifact named "Roxx", which is a chariot that flies in the air, and he tells Rown to be seated on the chariot, and they begin to travel.
The chariot travels with such speed that after a few minutes, it reaches its destination. Rowan vomits in the dustbin near the Public Magic Library as he feels like his mind is spinning. Then they enter the library, and John shows them his ID and says that he is the guardian of Rowan. John tells Rowan to search for a book named "The Bloodline".They begin searching for the book from different sides of the library. After a few minutes, they hear some strange voices, which probably indicate a battle between two magic users. Those two magic users crash into the Public Magic Library.  John identifies one of them as a demon and says "Runnnnn, it's a Demonnn".
