— You saw him?!— Riven? Seriously?
Akaru nodded.
— In the window. I know it was him.
— But… how is that possible? asked Theo. If he’d been transported here, he would’ve joined us by now.
— Not necessarily, Mira murmured. What if he landed… somewhere else?
Silence.Then Lyana stood up abruptly.
— We can’t just sit around anymore. We have to understand what Inverso is. And why this world feels so… fractured.
The next day, they returned to school. But something had changed.
Invisible cracks ran through the walls. Not physical cracks—rifts. To the naked eye, nothing. But their senses… felt them.As if the world itself was tearing apart.
In the library, they searched. Old books, urban legends, obscure forums. One name kept showing up online:
“Inverso: the mirror world.”
And more importantly:
“The Guardians of Balance.”
They returned before nightfall. But the moment they stepped into Hayato’s house, a flash of light exploded in the living room.
The professor was waiting. Calm.Behind him floated a strange sphere, like a cracked globe suspended mid-air.
— It’s time you knew, he said.
He snapped his fingers.
The globe opened.A projection appeared: two interlocked worlds—theirs, and Japan—connected by a rift.
— When you destroyed Kaelor’s throne, you didn’t just save your world. You shattered an ancient balance. The magical world and the real world were never meant to touch.
— Then why are we here? asked Akaru.
— Because the barrier has fallen. And because you’re the only ones who can stop… the complete fusion of both worlds.
A tremor shook the house.
They rushed outside.
The sky opened once more. A violet light formed above Tokyo. And in the center of that light: Riven.
Suspended in the air. Surrounded by an inverted magic circle.
He had changed.
His gaze was empty. In his hand… a dark scepter.
— Riven?! shouted Theo.
But no response.
Then, their marks began to glow. A familiar energy surged through their arms. And in a flash, their weapons reappeared.
Not like before. Different.
Akaru now held a chromed blade, etched with glowing circuits.Lyana saw her sword morph into rings of energy.Theo wielded a spear made of an unknown alloy. And Mira held a floating orb, pulsing with magical data.
A perfect fusion of their magic… and this world’s technology.
— Inverso is awakening, declared Hayato.
— And you have no choice now. It’s him… or this world.
