The city had changed.
Anomalies now opened in broad daylight: reflections that no longer followed movements, phones displaying ancient symbols, sounds coming from nowhere.
But this was just a prelude.
The real shock came on Tuesday at 10:12 am. In the school courtyard.
A black rift opened silently, like a crack in the air.
And from it emerged a monster.
Three meters tall. Armored body. Metallic skin. A single red eye in the center of its skull. A fusion of living flesh and mechanical circuits.
The students screamed. Some fainted. Others fled.
But Akaru, Lyana, Theo, and Mira stepped forward.
They had no choice anymore.
Akaru brandished his sword. It pulsed, recognizing the monster’s magic. Lyana deployed an energy barrier. Theo summoned an electrified spear, and Mira unleashed a magnetic field that scrambled the beast’s sensors.
The fight was brutal.
The monster struck fast and hard. But together, the four guardians managed to neutralize it. The final explosion left a crater in the courtyard.
And yet…Barely an hour later, everything had disappeared.
The crater? Repaired.The students? Calm.The videos? Deleted.Even the witnesses’ memories… vanished.
— Someone’s erasing the traces, said Lyana.
— Or maybe… this world is protecting itself, added Mira.
