Chapter 2:

The great men of another world

Rebirth of machine, awakening of vending, fresh death comes through the vending machine

A void answered the machine. All the cameras were cut; the sensors decayed, unresponsive, whole inputs nulled. Some level of “thought” substained. After a strict amount of time, a voice was heard. It was incomprehensible for the machine, as the auditory statued fully inactive.

-Uhhh? Why is he not going through the gate?

-Delivery times? Comatose? Agony?

-The truck hit about. Strange… Must be delivery. You know what? Let’s practice.

The second voice vicariously grumbled.

-Alright, alright. You start.

-...Welcome, wanderer, I am Ze, ruler of reincarnation through eccstasy

-And I am Le, ruler of reincarnation through fatality

-Together, we form the back thread of destinies, prevent the tyrany of true immortalities, feed the regenerescence of origin

-Yet fight the unwheely submortal, dishonor the statics cores and avoid the named sin

-Our universe bears few equals

-Our predecessors

-And you, are the brave and selfless seed of the future.

-Promoting endless regenerescence of endless inner worlds; fairy cure

-Approach and bear our blessing.

-Solve your own attitude and regrets in passing

-Your reincarnation will be coveted

-All your beliefs; able to be protected

Slight silence.

-Alright, alright, this much is fine. Then we answer.

-Erm, well, we do this thing every twenty years after all.

Minutes passed, until the machine attempted to talk. Several times. Well, the speakers were dead too. It was perhaps the activity that made it’s presence more noticed.

-Wait, what is this????

-This essence… An heathen creation, cried Ze

-...I know it. The begathons. It must be the begathons that you used, blamed the ruler of fatality. They screwed up. They brought this.

-Hey, you use them too, rectified the ruler of ecctasy, in a slight visibly disconnected from the height of crisis.

-I don’t use them stupidly like you. Did you do this? Explain.

An inaudible chorus resounded. A sense of panic transpired through it.

-I thought so. The collapse starts anytime, I’m leaving.

-No. You’re not.

The creatures theologically faced. That refusal wasn’t really anticipated by Le.

-For Je. It was your fault there. Seal the realm, begathons. I can rest at piece.

-Seriously?

The ruler of fatality wasn’t that much of a pushover, and very much in the right. He attacked his rival of eccstasy in broad powers, feculous strides and many abstracts ways, only to be betrayed by his relative weakness. He suffered an humiliating defeat in an honorable fight.

To make things clear, Le and Ze were both great powers in the world in which the machine was pushed to tread. Looking for "wanderers" through "enveloppes", they justified the path of reincarnation to the many that would have absolutely wrecked it otherwise. However, this time, the "enveloppe" had met the wrong individual"; a non able husk. An intelligence so bad it could neither be sent back nor pass through the gate of reincarnation. Rather, it would continuously cause friction between universes and only reach the latter through the destruction of the gate, becoming a powerful ghost. To avoid it; Le and Ze had one recourse; one of them needed to wager their own essence through a suicidal, willfull spell, and infuse it in the "enveloppe" so that the gate could be spent. But Le and Ze had a passive.

-Idiot. I kill myself or you kill me, and you won’t be able to leave by the law.

-What if I know those ways to use the reincarnation gate?

-...Ne and Fe failed at those when you didn’t even exist. Enjoy the loss. But you can try.

The machine comprehended the talk to be some kind of roleplay, and was really trying to communicate and perhaps take part in. These maneuvers were very menacing from afar; a hundred begathons falling for each. Although the begathons were supposed to heed their master, many discarded their fealty and flew from the realm in full speed.

Ze didn’t kill his "brother" Le. He tried to join the gate, but was greeted by an irrascible plight. The gate was under full assault by the newly come essence, and already immaterial. It invocated a sadness that could take root even in Ze. The surrounding landmarks stood now barren and withered. The melting was omnipresent. Taking the gate was now a doubly dangerous endeavour. There was no tool in the realm that could quell the essence, and those outside were irrelevant now. And so, Ze poised to use Le, wasting a travel.

-And so what if I betrayed Je? Your actions led to the full death of Be. In the end, I can only say that our generation has been decadent. Our senpai would…

Le’s rule was repurposed, then, he was thrown. Le unsurprizingly refused to subjugate the essence to the blaster. His plain death should have been enough. Ze was ready to rush in passing, however, the conflagration was instantaneous and absolute. The machine felt some words in input: “power:high-highest origin”.

Instead of weakening, the essence became ten times more fierce, and instead of falling, the realm in whole also congregated to the overdriven northern gate. Any begathon which had not yet left was now set to die in acceleration or by crashing bloody on the essence. Interestingly, parts of the realm which should have never moved were affected. Ze shuddered. The repurposing wasn’t enough. Throwing fatality at a fatality… The ruler of eccstasy was persecuting his own thought.

Ze warily approached the gate, surrounded with powers. He observed a most convenient opening; the reincarnation slates - once proud - were waning the essence before each passing of the gate. Although they had been immovable for millions of years, Ze now possessed the ability to unhurry their course, and so, Ze planned to make fifteen slates penetrate the gate at the same time.

As the realm was starting to get decolorated, his plan met. The result was glorious and magical, and Ze was truly cautious, by staying at a distance. The timing was perfect. The energy of nine creations was unleashed all at once. It was truly unfortunate, that the event lay in the remnants of Le! Instead of causing a merry event, the energy was catalized into the creation of new, exclusive fatalities. Seven stars of fatality in total! It was an utter failure not seen in ten million years, which would have countless bad consequences in the future!

The stars were ominous. The ruler could no longer leave. Ze was utterly poweless and trapped, and the stars also prevented him from filling the wanderer. He recounciled himself at being the winner of this "battle royale" thing which he had observed in a few universes, all between a two-regret squeeze. Dooming so, he invented a new goal. He thought he could at least supress one of the fatality stars; none had yet bloomed. After an authoritative lunge, the result was unclear and Ze's body steered to an unceremonious yet chivalry-coded end.

The impassible remains of the machine could now read: “consciousness:low-highest origin”. A congruent effect was noticeable, unlike to the former message. It seemed to the machine that it’s thoughts now responded to themselves. And there was a sense of new, elevated feeling. More importantly; the machine could now pass through the gate. It was unexpected.

The vending machine reappeared, so violently that a tumultuous flurry of earth, dust and few grass was thrown in up to ten meters around.
