“Alright, class is dismissed.”

This is bad. How am I supposed to escape from her!? Wait, I know! I can go to the toilet and then use teleportation magic and get out of school!

Since Akaki and Kaki both have club activities today, no one would be suspicious about how I get out of school without leaving through the gate!

The moment I opened the door, a male student whom I’ve never seen before is waiting for me right outside my classroom.

“Follow me. Lady Hyoka is waiting for your arrival outside.”

“...Eh?” You're kidding me! She has someone in the school to escort me out of the classroom!

That girl is more cautious than I thought.

“May I go to the toilet first?”

“No. You may go after we reach the mansion.”

“Tch… fine…” Looks like I don’t have much of a choice, especially if I want to keep a low profile.

“Iori Ichirou. Just a simple servant in the Rokuoin Family.”

As Ichirou left, Hyoka opened the door and invited me in.

Not trusting her words, I used detection magic.

As the car began to move, Hyoka took out a talisman and chanted a spell.

“Guardian of the north, Genbu, manifest a barrier, one that traps all sounds.”

Particles of light were released from the talisman, forming a small barrier around both of us.

“With this, no one can hear our conversation.”

“Just a precaution. Sound Proof Barrier.”

“You’re more cautious than I expected.”

“Can’t be too careful, right?”

“Right.”

“So, what is it that you want from me?”

“Who are you? What are those techniques you’re using?”

“...Just asking again, you won’t leak or tell anyone, right?”

“Yes. If you’re still scared, then we can make a contract.”

“A contract?”

Hyoko took out another talisman, this time, it’s the size of an A4 paper.

“By signing this contract, we are obligated to it. If you or I were to breach the contract, it’ll result in death.”

Hyoko took out a brush and signed her name.

“Your turn.”

“...” I took the brush from her, and before signing it, I took a read at the talisman.

‘Contract Between Rokuoin Hyoka and Myojin Mahiro

Both parties have agreed not to reveal any information from the conversation between them on September 12th, between 3 PM and 5 PM. A breach of contract will result in death.’

Seems like there’s no shady sentences written in.

“Here.” After signing the talisman, the talisman started to grow, and I felt something tightening my heart.
