Chapter 6:

Death & Clown

Beautiful Damnation

This is an unexpected development. This is the worst development in this story. Damn! I never thought that after falling, I would be hit by a ladder.

Is this what they call Diabolus Ex Machina?

"You... don't tell me, you are...?!"

Jacov looked trembling with fear seeing their figures. Of course, I felt the same way. Even all the creatures in this great hall, not a single one moved, including the demon army.

With their presence alone, they were able to intimidate all other existences in this place. I even felt like I would go insane if I continued to stay here.

The three of them began to descend into the hall, all eyes in the great hall were directed at them. Is this the end? Will this story go straight to the epilogue after just finishing this stupid prologue?

"It is an honor to meet you once again, [Demon Lord of Death]."

[Demon Lord]?

Darkness enveloped the masked clown man, and starting from his clothes, body details to his hair, everything changed.

All the characteristics that existed on the representative from the Verdantia Empire before were gone, nothing remained.

"You... you're not Lord Laios?" Jacov screamed in surprise.

Not only that, the representatives from other countries also looked strange.

Their bodies looked very limp and their eyes didn't seem to emit any light at all.

This... it seems like this is what they call a hopeless situation.

"Laios? Ah, that man. He's already dead, eaten by his dog," the clown answered while laughing horribly. The clown raised both his hands, and all the people on the second floor stood up as well. "And not just that man. But all representatives from human lands."

The clown made a slight gesture with his finger, and suddenly, the heads of all representatives from every country detached from their bodies, without shedding a drop of blood.

Maybe they were dolls or something like that.

But that only meant one thing.

From the beginning, no representatives from any country came.

No, that's not right.

They all came, it's just that they were killed before this event started and replaced by dolls.

The clown jumped while doing two backflips in the air and walked toward the three demons who had just arrived.

Then, the clown knelt on one knee toward the twin-tailed girl.

At the moment after the arrival of these three new figures, not a single student moved or said a word.

The atmosphere in this place completely changed and the air became very heavy.

"Do you know what you have done?" asked the twin-tailed girl. "Do you know the consequences of your actions?"

The clown just laughed softly before answering, "This servant only wanted to help you. This servant had no intention at all of disrupting fate."

Boom!

Thud!

The clown's body fell headless. On the other side, I saw his head that had hit the wall, shattered with its contents scattered.

It was so fast that I couldn't see it clearly even though I didn't blink or turn my face away.

But I was certain that the male demon with pointed ears had kicked the clown's head.

Once again, this place became quiet.

Then, a terrifying dark aura emerged from the twin-tailed girl's body.

An aura that was darker, denser, and heavier than before.

The twin-tailed girl walked, stepping on the clown's corpse, and went toward one of the students.

Automatically, the people around him immediately moved away.

That student was left alone. No, that student was alone with the twin-tailed girl.

"Who-who are you?!" the student screamed. The frightened student walked backward in fear.

The twin-tailed girl just kept walking and staring at him.

"What do you want?!" he screamed again.

I couldn't believe there was still someone that stupid. But because of his scream, I regained my consciousness. Honestly, I had briefly thought about committing suicide by biting my tongue, considering death as salvation.

Thud!

Suddenly the student's body fell. His eyes were wide open, but looked empty. None of the people around him approached or tried to help him; instead, they moved further away.

Because they knew it was futile. That student had lost his life just for speaking. If only he had stayed quiet and not said unnecessary things, maybe at least he would have lived a little longer.

Maybe no one knew exactly how it happened. But just by seeing it, they would definitely reach that conclusion. No matter how stupid they were.

"I am the Demon Lord of Death, Crusch De Vere. I came here to bring death to you all," said the twin-tailed girl.

That was very surprising. I initially thought the pointed-eared man was the [Demon Lord]. Wait, could it be that they are all [Demon Lords]?

While I was busy thinking about that, the pointed-eared man immediately lunged toward me.
Damn!
Boom!

"Ugh...!!!"

I spat out a mouthful of blood after receiving a direct kick to my stomach that sent my body flying into the wall until it shattered the wall. I couldn't breathe. Maybe some of my internal organs were already destroyed.

Meanwhile, the other people looked at me with surprised eyes. Honestly, I was quite surprised myself that I could still be alive after receiving an attack like that. Maybe it's a bit of an exaggeration, but it felt like being hit by a truck moving at full speed.

My head also felt very painful, it seemed like my head was experiencing tremendous bleeding. My entire vision even turned blood red.

"Get up, you damn brat!"

The pointed-eared man grabbed my hair and lifted my entire broken body until it didn't touch the floor.

"I know everything you're thinking."

"...?"

"But unfortunately, everything you're thinking is wrong. I am not a [Demon Lord], I am their servant."

If only I could speak, maybe I would have replied with my usual typical words.

"Kid, I'll ask you one thing. Who among you has the [Heroes] Class?"

[Heroes]? Oh, heroes, right?

I thought this man already knew that before killing the clown.

Then, ah, that's right, this man can read minds.

If so...

Find out for yourself, you idiot! Hahaha!

"Useless."

My body flew through the hole in the ceiling of the great hall. That damn pointed-eared man threw me like he was throwing an object. My body floated, I could even see everything from up here.

As I flew above the clouds and floated above the ceiling of this country, I saw a pretty cool view. I saw a large white wall surrounding this entire country, and when I looked down, a White Palace that looked very magnificent and beautiful, adorning the city center.

So, the great hall where we were summoned was in some kind of cathedral, right?

I thought it was a palace.

I wasn't too surprised because that's generally how it is.

From my perspective, I could clearly see the grandeur of the White Palace. Its roof looked very beautiful and consisted of several layers, each with intricate and difficult-to-understand ornaments.

In the middle of the roof was a tall tower that soared, with a flag flying on top of it.

It should have been like that, but unfortunately it was all destroyed and only left a big hole.

I could see hundreds of cavalry surrounding this place and guarding security, maybe because they had received information about the [Demon Lord] attack.

Honestly, I was very surprised that I still had time to describe in detail everything I saw. How stupid of me to think about silly things like that, instead of thinking about how I could land safely.

Could it be because I knew I couldn't do anything in a situation like this?

Damn! I'm starting to see flashbacks of my life.

And the worst part is that my death really resembles a side character who gets in the way of the main character and is easily defeated by them. I call characters like them a clown.

Well, goodbye. It seems this is the end of my story. After thinking about this carefully, it turns out this all makes sense. This all happened because I'm not the main character.

Thud!

My body landed in the great hall, creating a depression, my entire body shattered like a toy that breaks when slammed, and I... died.
