Shopping day

And before I couldn’t notice, a whole month passed, I was getting used to this place, training in the morning and working in the afternoon, have dinner in the evening and repeat, but I wasn’t always training or helping, the weekends the store was at full of customers but we closed earlier, and in one of those days the Roselia family wanted to talk with me.

I was nervous, a lot of things crossed my mind, and I was more intimidated when they were all sitting in front of a chair, the chair where I was supposed to be sitting, I walked a little awkwardly and I sat down.

The tailor was an old man with a man bun, his hair was already white and was wearing clothes similar to the traditional Chinese outfits.

I went inside and when I got out I was with a white short shirt, dark blue pants and dark shoes, I was smiling and Norwin paid for the clothes, we left for the next store, with a blacksmith.

Bernard was wearing a brown apron and gloves with a gray outfit behind it, he had spiky hair and a little mustache. He went and hugged Norwin while petting her back.

“What brings you here?”

“I have someone that will need from your services”

While the two of them were talking I was looking through the shop, there were a ton of weapons already, axes, bows, spears, and armors of different sizes as well as shields.

While I was playing, I always picked the characters with swords, very basic, but, this is the type of weapon that is for me, so…

I look at one long sword and I pick it up, I swing it up and down but it wasn’t comfortable, I leave it and keep exploring different swords until I hit one that was a little bit shorter, it was still a long sword, having half of my size and with a significant weight.

I went and pick one silver buckler, I hold the sword with both hands while having the buckler in my other hand

“Well, let’s go with the armor then, he had your weapon and shield, a medium armor would be nice, what about a mail armor?”

“Let’s try it”

I wait while looking at the sword and touching the middle with my finger

“Alright, sorry for the waiting, here”

I was getting dressed with the armor, first it went through a big cloth of mail covering almost all my body from my neck to my arms and the half of my knees, then I was putting the chest plate, gauntlets, boots and finally a nice helmet with mail below it.

The helmet was completely closed with rectangular and small holes to see and other small holes to let the air flow.

I stand up and equip my sword along with the shield.

“That’s a true warrior”

“Very well, do you like it, Ryuzaki?”

“Yeah, this is conformable, I can get used to it”

“Very well, then we but this, Bernard”

“Awesome, I’m going to include the clothes to go beneath”

I took out the helmet and look at it for a moment

“I can’t believe we are already at this point”

“This is just the start, you better be ready”

“Good”

Norwin petted my head and after we but, Bernard had a ton of sheath for the sword, I looked at them and looked at Norwin.

“This one is on the house, choose the one you like” said Bernard

“Thank you”

I choose a black sheath and save the sword in there, putting it behind my back with the belt that came with it.

We left the store and went back home, when we arrived the dinner was about to get ready, and I went upstairs to leave my stuff in a corner, I was looking at my sword when Elizabeth knew and leaned in the door.

“You seem happy”

“I am, who wouldn’t I mean, look at this, this is awesome”

“You are like a child haha”

“Are you leaving soon?”

“It seems like it… I haven’t talked with your father about what you said… I don’t think he would take it lightly but… are you sure?”

“I want to do something more than just being in this store, Ryu… and with you, I have that chance, I trust in you and I know that if something happens to me, you will be there”

I left my sword in my bed and went downstairs to enjoy another night happy eating dinner, just thinking that I can stay like that forever.
