Chapter 1

"Rasuta! Come quickly!" shouted Jack.

Rasuta came over to Jack and the two of them talked for a while.

"Do you know what this is?" asked Jack with a smile.

"A book. What's wrong with it?" asked Rasuta.

"It's not just a random book. It says The Dragon Champion! It's a book about dragon fighting. I finished reading it last night. I want you to read it too," said Jack.

"I don't really like dragons. Since dragons are fictional animals, they never existed in the real world. It's just a fairy tale," said Rasuta.

"What are you saying? There's clearly a lot of evidence that dragon fossils have been found in the world. There are also many ancient inscriptions that describe dragon," said Jack.

"Yes, indeed. Sometimes, I think that maybe dragons once existed in the real world. But, if you look at their strength, I think dragons would definitely become the top ruler and defeat dinosaurs 'cause they could breathe fire," said Rasuta.

The school bell rang.

"This is a cake from Dad. There was an event at his office earlier. He brought this cake 'cause he remembered that you love eating this cake. I'll put it here," said his mother.

"Wow! It's delicious. Thank you, Mom and Dad," said Rasuta.

Rasuta took the cake and ate it while continuing to read The Dragon Champion.
As it was already very late, he decided to continue tomorrow.

The next day, Rasuta called Jack to let him know that he would be staying at his house. He was intrigued by the exciting and suspenseful story. Jack was also very happy to hear it.

Rasuta prepared some clothes to stay at Jack's house. He also brought the book with him.

After lunch, he immediately said goodbye to his mother and father to go to Jack's house.

"Mom, Dad, I'll be going. I'm only staying for a few days. No need to take me there, I can go by myself," said Rasuta.

He had almost finished reading the book when the bus stopped in front of Jack's house. He had to get off immediately.

Rasuta knocked on Jack's door. Jack opened the door and they talked about the book for the rest of the day. While the two of them were chatting, Rasuta had also finished reading the book.

"Finally! Finished! I didn't expect that he'd have to choose only one of his best friends. If I were the main character, I'd probably be confused," said Rasuta.

"Indeed, choosing is a difficult thing. But if I were the main character, I'd choose to marry the Dragon Queen. That way, the dragon descendants will continue and someday people will see dragons again for real," said Jack.

As it was already late at night, they prepared for bed. All day they told each other about the dragons in The Dragon Champion.

Just after 12 PM, the book glowed and sucked Rasuta and Jack's souls into it. However, their bodies still remained asleep and were not sucked into the book.
