Chapter 0:

001. Wonderland

A story about reincarnation, killing God and rebuilding the world

"Am I about to die--"

I couldn't remember what had caused me to become like this. The surroundings were cold and dark, or was it because I was about to die that I couldn't see clearly

"Hey! That guy over there. Are you okay?"

"Someone call an ambulance quickly"

Was that the voice of a passerby? Only when I was about to die did someone care about me like this

Looking back, I realized that my life was so miserable, perhaps only death could free me

"No, I'm so sleepy, no more pain or cold--"

"Wake up, Yuuki"

Suddenly, a sweet, candy-like, and slightly shrill voice of a girl echoed in my ears

I reflexively did as the voice said

"This...where is it?"

When I opened my eyes. My body immediately trembled from the gloom and darkness of the place where I, and that voice, were standing. Looking around, I finally found the owner of that sweet voice

"This is a small area of Wonderland. Where unreal things become real, where animals or inanimate objects can speak human language, and where your soul is gathered and shaped"

In front of me was a girl with long dark purple hair that reached her waist, her red eyes that seemed to be burning opened wide when she saw me, with an oval face

According to my assessment, she was only 22 years old with a height of 1m84, and was wearing a stylish coat the same color as her hair, and her hands were in her pockets

"Who are you, why am I here, and what is the shape of a soul"

"First of all, I want to apologize, please don't blame or be angry with me because I did this on purpose"

She spoke with a serious expression, without the slightest wavering, and looked straight at into my eyes, causing me to unconsciously take a few steps back

"I am the one who intentionally killed you, the one who took away the precious life of a young man, and the one who is not remembered by anyone. Abanbern the god of oblivion"

She spoke her sins, and did not avoid them. For me, this death was a kind of liberation, and let me know how miserable I was when I was alive

Always oppressed, forced to do what others thought was right, without a single ally, and finally isolated everywhere

Only when I saw the light when I died did I have the heart to blame her

"I don't blame you, don't worry. But you're a real goddess. You don't look like one at all"

"What? This is my own style! But you don't blame me, do you? Maybe I've been worrying too much, please forgive me"

"It's okay. On the contrary, I want to thank you. If you're a real goddess, you'll understand why, right?"

"That's right. I know everything about you, Nakamura Yuuki. But let me explain what's going on"

She finally smiled, and began to explain: "As I said As I said earlier, this is a small area of Wonderland, a magical world. It is called the 'crash chamber', and the current me standing here is just my soul, in theory I am dead but this place is Wonderland. A place where unreal things become real, it also explains why the wound on my body disappeared"

Saying that, I suddenly remembered, and checked the fatal wound I had received

But as expected, it had disappeared, which surprised me greatly

"Even the clothes were cleaned?"

"That's right, because this is Wonderland, your soul is gathered and shaped in this 'accident chamber'. This place has the function of recreating the soul into the form before someone died. So this place is quite gloomy"

Now I noticed. The space here is not just quite. It's very gloomy

The surroundings are full of fog, full of the smell of blood, and there are also a series of doors placed in random positions that continuously open and close. But there is no continuous sound

"Then why did I die?"

"As I said. You were killed by me under the guise of being hit by a car. But in reality, I killed you by expelling your soul, gathering it here because--"

Saying that, her face began to darken: "Because you are the only one who can save this world"

I was surprised, and began to despair. Not because I was dead

But. If I'm dead, I can't rest in peace, but I have to save this world

"Why do I have to save this world. I don't want to save anything. So I beg your permission to refuse, I just want to rest in peace when I die!"

"I understand. But let me explain the current situation of this world"

If I just explain, it's fine. So I agreed to see how things were going

"This world is called RUWE, and it's in the darkest period in history. A world that was once full of life, and full of color. Now it's only orange due to the magical radiation. People are gradually becoming corrupted due to long-term exposure to the magical radiation, gradually becoming monsters. All of this is because of--"

Having said this, her face showed anger, and was full of hostility towards the person she was about to talk about

"It's because of God"

"What. God, and God really did these things?"

I was surprised because I couldn't believe that God would do such things, and also realized the seriousness of the current situation of that world

No matter how I was treated in the old world, deep down I was still a good and pure person. So why did my heart waver a little when I heard those words?

"That's right. He destroyed everything with one hand."

The more she spoke, the more her beautiful face became more and more wrinkled with anger and helplessness, not knowing where to release that anger.

"Each tribe in that world has a chosen leader to lead the entire tribe, called 'Emperor'. But because of God's power, the tribes have not been able to find a successor to that Emperor for over 800 years, except for the tribes that wholeheartedly follow God. Among them is humanity. The tribes without a leader are in endless civil war, and humans are trying to suppress those tribes. Causing the world to fall into chaos."

"So what should I do?"

"Blood will not stop flowing, heads will not stop falling, and the world will become a desolate hell. I need you to reincarnate once more in this world to walk on this journey of 'Killing God and Rebuilding the World'"

I was more surprised than ever by the great responsibility she had given me

My heart was wavering at Abanbern's helpless words. But why-

"Why me and not someone else"

"Because I have observed you for a long time Yuuki, and in my judgment, you can successfully complete this journey"

She started to speak louder, and pointed a finger at my face: "In other words. You are the 'Chosen One', and the only one who can successfully kill God and rebuild this world"

One surprise after another. Who would have thought that I would be the chosen one. My life has been so miserable. Only when I die do I find out that I am the chosen one

Maybe I should agree because after all, I probably won't be treated as badly in that world as in the old world, and those tribes are in the same situation as me so I can't ignore it

"'The Chosen One' huh. Sounds interesting, maybe that world won't treat me like the old world. So I agree"

Abanbern immediately smiled, and continued to say: "Thank you, I know for sure that you will agree so I will give you some advice. Do you want to hear it?"

"Of course I do"

The expression on her pretty face started to brighten as she gave me some advice

"First: you must not believe in any human or tribe in this world that still believes in, and worships God. That means the tribes that can still find a successor to the "Emperor". Second: you must not tell anyone from any tribe about the existence of mine, and this journey. And third: you are not allowed to die because when you die, your soul will be destroyed immediately and will not be reincarnated as a normal thing in this world"
She said it all at once. Although I could not hear a few words. But I still understood the advice.

"I see. Is there anything else?"

"T

here's one more thing--"

"What. Tell me"

Her cute cheeks started to turn red. It seemed shy

"I will be by your side when you are most lonely, I will be your toy to relieve your desires when your desires are at their peak, I will support you when you are most miserable, I will comfort you when you are most helpless"

"Always a toy. Maybe I was right to choose to take this journey"

Her face was red as she spat out those words from her own mouth, and the words I had just said

"Well, it's time for you to go. You can't stay here any longer"

Suddenly, a blood-red matrix, with prickly patterns, and the smell of corpses appeared under my feet

My body was disintegrated into pieces, and I was sucked into that disgusting matrix without a word

"Hey, there are still many things I haven't asked. Hey--"

"Good luck Lena. I'll see you again soon". Those were the last words I heard before my body parts were sucked into that disgusting matrix
