Chapter 0:

Prologue – The Boy Who Vanished

Between Worlds, Between Hearts

When Izumi Kurokawa was in middle school, he disappeared without a trace. One moment he was walking home from the store, and the next thing he knew, he stood beneath a violet sky, surrounded by strange trees, dual silver moons, and a world overflowing with magic.

He had been summoned…by accident or maybe by fate…to a distant realm called Solvain, a world on the edge of war.

There, Izumi discovered a truth that no one from Earth could have imagined: every human born on Earth carried dormant magical potential, but Earth had no mana to awaken the magic. In Solvain, his latent power surged to life. He learned to fight, to survive, and in time, to lead. As the war escalated, Izumi became a legend: the Flame-Walker, a boy who could command fire and shadow with equal precision.

That all changed during his last fight. He battled the Tyrant of the Vale, he was a dark and old being that was risen by the Vale. Six Vale sorcerers were standing in the middle of the grand hall. Izumi arrived in time. He made his way through the maze and battled many demons and monsters. But now it was a race against time. Izumi needs to stop the casing spell before they can finish it. Bright lighting shot out from the casing circle in all directions. “This is it” Izui thought, “ready or not here I come”. Izumi moved like the Flame-Walker he is. Moving quickly through the room, leaving a trail of fire behind him. With one slash of his sword, the sorcerers threw up a magic barrier and stopped his attack… barely.

Izumi - “all right… if that how you want to play”

Izumi moved his sword to his left hand, and with a powerful punch that can break solid diamonds. This barrier was going to be nothing. Izumi powered up and punched the barrier as hard as he could, destroying the barrier and knocking out 4 of the sorcerers at the same time. Izumi stood in front of the other two, one of them being the Sorcerer Knight Ka.

Ka - “Tch… I can’t believe a child was able to stop this. No matter…”

Ka stood up from being knocked down from Izumi’s punch. Dusting himself off. I guess you win this round.

Izumi - “this round?”

Just then Ka pulled a pendant from his cloke

Ka - “Here catch”

Ka threw the pendant at Izumi. He caught it. It was like a necklace with a diamond shaped stone in the middle. In the middle of the stone was a golden gem that was glowing brightly.

Izumi - “what is this”

Ka - “that is a special necklace that transports the one holding it. Since I can’t bring my Lord here, i’ll just send you away!”

And then, a bright light appeared all around Izumi and with a flash just as if nothing happened Izumi was back on Earth.Even in the same spot he left a year ago. But when we came back, only 5 days went by. Many people including his parents were looking for him. Izumi tried to explain what happened but no one believed him. They thought he just had a wild imagination for a kid.

But Izumi remembers, he remembers the long weeks of training, the hard wood pallet he would sleep on, and the magic he learned.

Izumi sitting in his room, he looked around it like it wasn’t his anymore. He has grown so much in the past year or was it 5 days. Izumi's head hurt thinking about it all. But his bed was way better than that pallet. As he looked at his hands.

Izumi - “I guess I don’t have magic here, but my body is still in shape…oh”

As Izumi stood up the pendant fell from his pocket and onto the bed. He picked it up and examined it. It didn’t look that special, but it was definitely from Solvain.

Izumi - “so this is what brought me back”

He grabbed the pendant and walked over to the window.

Izumi - “That was a dirty trick Ka, but fine… i’ll work harder to get stronger and find my way back.”

Izumi trained his body and mind from that day forward, always looking for a way back.

A few years have gone by, Izumi is in his second year of high school now. He doesn’t have any friends, it hasn't been easy to hold onto this secret of his. He finds it difficult to relate to other kids his age because of it. He never stopped getting stronger and studying every book about other worlds and magic but they were all useless. He never lost the thought that Ka would return to Solevain. He had to return, no matter what.

That night, he heard the faint hum of magic while lying in his room. He sat up and walked over to his desk and opened the drawer the pendant was in. It was glowing slightly. He picked up the necklace and held it up, inspecting it like he’s remembering Solvain. Just then a portal of bright light opened in front of him and then closed just as fast.

Izumi - “so there is a way”

And the adventure begins again.
