Chapter 6:

Difference of a Hundred

Fist of the Bancho Rider

"Wha-What? Who the hell are you?" The bandit leader barked out. "This ...esn't con... you. Tho... three be... me. Ha... over... can go."

Reiji revved the bike causing it's loud roar to drown out his words. A trash like this wouldn't have anything useful to say he thought. Seeing the bandit leaders face contort with fear and anger brought a smile to his face.

Even Elnyra was cackling besides him.

The leader eventually got the message. Ordering his men to charge, despite staying rooted to his spot.

"Trash, always hiding behind others."

"Let's take out the trash Elnyra." Surging forward on the bike, his instincts took control.

Aiming for the middle of the of horse riders. Reiji blitz forward like a dragon flying through the air. With 124hp against their single hp it wasn't even a fight.

Moving at three times their speed, he reached them before they even had time to prepare to aim their crossbows at him.

Grabbing the nearest bandit with his left hand, Reiji pulled him of his horse dragging him on the ground. Their scream was cut short as he swung them into the tree trunk using the momentum to circle around before heading after the next bandits.

"That's one."

He charged the next two bandits who were trying to attack him head on. Both of them swinging swords at Reiji. Raising the front wheel, the blades ricochet off of it. Seizing the opening, Reiji kicked out at both bandits, squarely hitting their chins. Their bodies spun multiple times through the air before crashing down.

"That's three."

The remaining bandits were wary now.  The few of them with crossbows began circling, shooting at him from a distance. While the ones with weapons charged at him, making it harder to strike back.

Licking his lips. Reiji zigzaged through the melee riders, moving for the nearest crossbow user. The fight would be over much quicker if he took out all their range superiority.

He was on the nearest crossbow user faster than they could react. As they turned around trying to flee. This ofcourse was useless.

Unlike guns on Earth, crossbows were unable to fire continuously, requiring manual reload.

Grabbing their face with his hand, the bandit was yanked from his horse. Once again dragging them behind him.

Reiji drove towards another crossbow bandit, using his friend as a meat shield. With blinding speed, he swung the bandit in his hand as an improvised weapon knocking them both unconscious.

"Five down."

"Reiji they're heading towards the children!" Elnyra screamed.

Hearing Elnyra's shout sent a chill down his spine. As they'd fought, the distance between the children and him had increased considerably.

Speeding back towards them, Reiji scooped up two of the crossbow dropped by the bandits.

Charging at the bandit that was infront of the children, Reiji performed a jack knife, nailing him into the nearest tree.

Tossing the crossbows to the two Elven children. "Here, use this."

Reiji once again rode of after the remaining bandits.

At this point they were down to half strength. This meant the leader would either start running away soon, or charge at him blindly. To his surprise the leader decided to join in instead. Roaring furiously, the others regroupping behind before charging at Reiji.

"Becareful Reiji."

"Let's end this!"

Charging at them, Reiji decided to take them out in one go. Riding in a arc he attacked them from the side.

As he neared them. Two of the bandits yelled out in pain before falling off their horse. They had been expertly shot by the two Elven kids.

Eight down, four to go.

Flanking the bandits. He jumped. Tossing the bike into the remaining three bandits, while he tackled the leader dragging him to the ground.

Last one.

Rolling with the momentum, both of them launched themselves back up. Squaring off against one another.

Reiji threw out multiple quick jabs looking for an opening. The leader's thick arms were used to block his vitals. Dodging his counter swing, Reiji landed a right hook into his jaw knocking him back.

The two of them continued trading blows each looking for a good opening.

Closing the distance, Reiji let our a mighty roar, landing a liver shot to the leader. Expecting the leader to fall, he wasn't prepared for the counter attack.

"Rising slash"

The Leader swung his sword cutting through Reiji's chest, drawing a bloody arc. He rolled backwards pain tearing through him.

Stupid. Getting carried away. This isn't Earth. Reiji thought.

Memorizing this lesson, he started bouncing on his heel, raising his guard. Luckily the wound wasn't too deep.

"You won't get another chance." Reiji growled with fury.

The bandit leader began circling him, once again calm, certain that he had the advantage.

He taunted, feinting slashes and stabs trying to get Reiji to flinch. Ignoring them, Reiji steadied his breath. Focusing on reading the leader's center of gravity instead. The shift in it will tell him when the leader is coming in for the kill.

Seeing that the feint's weren't working, the leader grabbed the hilt of his sword with both hands. Raising it he lunged forward, slashing down with his strongest skill.

"Boulder Cleave!"

The swing was fast and heavy. Striking the ground, causing dirt to fly everywhere. True to it's name, it could definitely cut a boulder. A direct hit would severely damage Reiji, but that's only if it hits.

Side stepping to the left. Reiji lands a one inch punch straight into his liver. This time the leader definitely felt it, dropping his sword to gasp for air.

Pouncing on the opportunity Reiji unleashed a flurry of blows. A left hook to his jaw, dislocating it. A uppercut to his chin, sends the leader flying. Then leaping into the air, Reiji delivered the final blow, an axe kick smashing him into the ground.

"Are you alright?" Elnyra reappeared besides him, worried about the wound on his chest.

"It'll heal."

Reiji waved her concerns aside. The wound wasn't that deep. His accelerated healing  already staunching the bleeding.

Walking over to the children, he could see that they were now exhausted.

With the end of the fight, their last remaining energy had drained with the tension. Although tired, their faces were smiling brightly.

Noah ran up to greet Reiji "Wow mister. That was amazing!"

The other two elves followed behind.

"Thank you for your help." The young boy said.

The girl walked up and tugged at Reiji asking him to sit down. She then began performing the same spell she did on Noah to help his wounds.
