Chapter 8:
TOOI
"Is this going straight to your kingdom?" Qinny was curious about his kingdom.
"Yes, when you arrive, you'll enter my house, okay?" Kuwedzera answered her question and told them so Alven and his friends could survive the chaos.
A young man, none other than a police officer from the Exodus Kingdom, who had infiltrated their ranks, suddenly felt his hands turn red, as if he had entered hell. A sudden, sharp aura emanated from him, causing the police officer to feel pain all the way to the White Lake Kingdom.
"Oh no, why is my body so hot? I felt fine." The police officer felt as if his body had been entered by the kingdom's guards to burn him.
*AAAAAHHH*
The police officer was burned alive by the guards because he had infiltrated their kingdom, and he was being taught a fitting lesson by the police.
"Who is it? Is anyone shouting here?"
"Let him burn alive, for he has earned a great sin." Kuwedzera asked about someone infiltrating another kingdom to gather information.
*Siiuuww*
“We’ve arrived.”
“Oh, so this is your kingdom, huh?”
.
The White Lake Kingdom was a kingdom elusive to invaders; only those from that kingdom could enter it, from a castle that looked like it was no longer fit to be abandoned. The kingdom was clearly a source of curiosity, as legends said that if a group managed to enter the kingdom, they would perish due to the thick fog that had been created to deceive them.
At first glance, White Lake Castle appeared to be a crumbling ruin, a perfect trap for unsuspecting explorers. Its walls were thickly overgrown with moss, its towers cracked as if ready to collapse, and its rusted iron gates were barely visible behind the overgrown undergrowth. However, beneath its deceptive exterior, the castle held the White Lake Kingdom’s greatest secret.
For outsiders, approaching the castle meant getting lost in the thick fog that appeared out of nowhere, blinding their vision and disorienting their senses. The mist is no ordinary natural phenomenon, but rather an ancient spell, closely guarded by the elders of White Lake, designed to ward off intruders and conceal the true path to the kingdom. Only those with the "sign" or guided by the natives can pass through the mist without becoming lost in the endless illusion.
Within the seemingly dilapidated castle, secret passages hide behind cracked walls and worn furnishings. Hidden doors, unlocked only by a practiced touch and a code word spoken in an ancient language, reveal tunnels curving beneath the earth. These tunnels, illuminated by bioluminescent mushrooms emitting a soft glow, lead deep underground, through layers of rock and the roots of giant trees.
Eventually, the tunnels open into a magnificent cavern, where the true Kingdom of White Lake lies. There, safe from the prying eyes of invaders, lies a lush and peaceful world. An underground river flows clear, radiating a bluish glow from the rare minerals at its base. Strange and beautiful plants thrive under the reflection of luminous crystals hanging from the cave ceiling, resembling stars in the night sky.
The inhabitants of White Lake, known as the Aethel, live in harmony with their subterranean environment. Their homes are carved from stone and the roots of giant trees, adorned with intricate carvings and luminous gems. They are master craftsmen, makers of dazzling jewels, and most importantly, keepers of the ancient magical secrets that have protected their kingdom for centuries. They live in peace, undisturbed by the conflicts of the upper world, only occasionally sending expeditions to the surface to gather resources or monitor potential threats.
The "uninhabitable" castle is not only their final stronghold, but also an invisible portal connecting the two worlds: the visible world and the hidden one, keeping the Kingdom of White Lake a legend to the invaders, a dream they can never achieve.
*heading to Kuwedzera's house*
“Finally here, come help me!” Kuwedzera asks Foreplay for help, allowing her to carry him into her house to heal Foreplay's health. "What's wrong with her?" a local resident asked Kuwedzera about what happened and who was in and which kingdom allowed entry.
"It's a long story. We'll ask them later, okay?" Kuwedzera interrupted the conversation to concentrate on saving the foreplay.
