The world shifted the day the rifts opened.

Tears of red light split the sky and the ground, spilling horrors from beyond. We thought them monsters, but they were only the beginning.

Nations armed themselves. Heroes rose and fell. Even so, we soon learned that the true threat was not the rifts themselves, but the will behind them.

Some say it was fate. Others call it punishment.

I call it the moment our world was rewritten.
