Chapter 6: The Genius Hacker's Declaration of War

The Commander's Final Class

The next day, all the students were abuzz with news on the school's bulletin board. A printed paper was posted with bold, sensational letters: "OUR NEW TEACHER, FORMER SPECIAL FORCES!?" Below it, several paragraphs mentioned Arata Masamune as a former JSDF special forces member with a confidential record.

The news spread like wildfire. Students whispered to each other, looking at Arata with a mixture of fear and admiration as he walked through the crowd. Arata, who had just arrived, sensed that something was wrong. His instincts were sharp. He saw the crowd of students around the bulletin board, and his eyes immediately focused on the low-resolution photo of himself. He clenched his fists inside his jacket, feeling a surge of anger. Who would dare leak this information?

Suddenly, Kawazaki Hanabe, the friendly gatekeeper, appeared and tore the paper from the board. He looked at Arata with a worried expression.

"Hanabe-san," Arata approached, his voice low but filled with suppressed anger. "Do you know who put this up?"

"Based on the typing, it must be one of your students, Arata-kun. It must be Shion Kanzaki," Hanabe replied.

Arata just clenched his fists. He wasn't surprised. That kid... he really launched his attack. "In that case, I'll begin to discipline him so he stays out of trouble."

At the Ministry of Defense headquarters, Narada Kurogame, a respected general, was furious. State data had been leaked, hacked by a citizen from Tokyo. Suspecting this was the work of a foreign agent, he immediately sent his men to track the hacker's signal and capture him alive.

Afterward, in front of the special classroom, Arata waited for Shion. As Shion was about to enter, Arata stopped him.

"How much do you know about my past, Kanzaki?" Arata said with a cold stare.

"I know everything, that's for sure," Shion replied, a sly smirk on his face. "Commander, I also wonder what their reaction would be if they saw and read about Operation Thanatos?"

Hearing that name, Arata felt his blood boil. He immediately pinned Shion against the wall, his grip firm on the student's shoulder.

"Are you... Are you going to threaten me? That's not allowed, you know, Sensei!" Shion tried to struggle, but Arata's grip was too strong. "If you want this information to not get out, then resign from being a teacher. That's my offer, Sensei."

Arata stared deep into his eyes, then suddenly released his grip. He let Shion go into the classroom, but before he closed the door, he turned back to face him.

"It's best to stay quiet about some things to avoid trouble, isn't it?" Arata said in a low but meaningful voice. He knew exactly what was happening outside.
