Chapter 19:

The Savior of his Fiancee.

Seven/Five O' Clock - How To Survive 10 Years in Another World -

“Did something happen, Hanahoshi? You look a lot distressed since the last time I saw you.” Hanahoshi’s fiancé asked, as they walked through the gardens of the palace, holding hands.

Hanahoshi nodded in disagreement. “There is nothing wrong. There have been some unusual things happening lately. Like you know, the sudden blood moon.”

He gripped Hanahoshi’s hand harder. “I am sorry I couldn’t be by your side those times. I wished to see you, you know?”

“Hiro…” Hanahoshi smiled. “Yep, I know. You always do that.”

Hiro stopped amid the yellow dandelion garden. Hanahoshi looked around the beautiful landscape, filled with colors.

“The suns looks beautiful, doesn't it?” Hanahoshi whispered.

Hiro broke a flower from the bushes, his face glittering with a fascinating smile. “Hanahoshi, I heard that right now, you know?”

“I wanted you to hear it.” She blushed.

“That I know. It’s one of your silly shenanigans.” Hiro tucked two flowers behind Hanahoshi’s ears.

“It looks good on you. But I wish the flowers didn’t wither away as fast.” Hiro said, looking at Hanahoshi’s eyes.

Behind them, a bit far away, stood the gothic castle. Above them watched the five suns. Surrounding them, the beds of flowers cheered.

Hiro held Hanahoshi’s face softly. Her eyes glittered more than a shining star.

“Gosh… how cute can you be?” He cried out. “I don’t want to lose those beautiful eyes of yours…”

A gust of wind blew the petals of the gardens, hiding what they did afterwards.

“So… shall we get ourselves some tea?” Hanahoshi proposed, heavily blushing and covering her lips.

Hiro smiled. “Still not over it, huh?”

Hanahoshi was lost. Her eyes saw the pearly blue eyes and black hair of the man who stood before her.

A clank, then a shatter.

A cup fell down.

“W-what…?” Hiro’s hand shook as he tried to comprehend everything she said. “H-Hanahoshi, you… are okay, aren’t you, right?”

Hanahoshi resisted his thoughts. “I am completely fine!!”

“So that’s why you looked so depressed back then… why didn't you tell me that before?”

“Honestly,” She pulled out something from her pocket. “I was going to tell you, but so much has happened these days that I didn’t have the time to think, let alone write!”

She pulled out an unfinished letter from her pocket. “See?”

“I trust you.” Hiro looked down. “It’s just that, I feel so… worthless knowing that I didn’t know my wife was in such a danger.”

Hiro stood up and hugged Hanahoshi tightly. She felt the warmth seeping through his tidy dress, and the earthy smell of his body.

“Was farming fun today?” Hanahoshi asked, smiling.

“Eh? How did you know I tended my garden today?” He asked back, surprised.

“I love that earthy smell of yours, you know?” She said.

Hanahoshi looked outside the small room they sat in, amongst the wide gardens. It was all low breezes, warm atmosphere, and a sunny day.

“Anyways, I have to meet with this mysterious man.” He said. “He saved my wife’s life. I can’t go by without thanking him.”

Hanahoshi smiled warily. “I think he’s a bit… wasted. These events have taken a toll on his body.”

“I am amazed how you are not wasted.” He replied.

“I am surprised as well.”

A moment of silence prevailed between them. Hiro looked outside, and so did Hanahoshi. They looked at the maids cleaning up the garden and taking care of it.

At the far end was the castle, something so massive it couldn’t fit in one frame.

“Eh?” Hanahoshi gasped.

Hiro also saw it, and frankly, he was nothing less than amazed.

Standing before the castle was a half-asleep person. Blonde-haired, blood-red eyes. But what’s more amazing is that he was standing unharmed under the evening sun—unscathed.

Hiro didn’t need confirmation. He knew this was the man who had saved the love of his life.

His appearance did not matter to Hiro, nor was he afraid. All his heart conveyed was gratitude as he rushed towards him in the blink of an eye.

For Hitsuki, it seemed like a random man had come to him and offered his hand.

“I am Hiro.” He said out of nowhere. “Thank you for saving my fiancée.”
