Chapter 11: The Judgment Queen

That night, in her luxurious house, Mei went to see her father, Supreme Judge Kurosawa Takechi.

"Papa," Mei said, her voice filled with anger. "I want you to know, at school today I dealt with a teacher who had no manners or respect. I want you to teach that teacher a lesson."

"If Papa may ask, what is that teacher's name?" her father asked, his eyes still focused on a stack of files.

"If I'm not mistaken, his name is Arata Masamune."

Suddenly, the sound of the stack of files falling echoed in the room. Her father stared at Mei with wide eyes, looking very panicked.

"Mei! Do you know who he is?" her father said, his voice trembling.

"What's wrong, Papa? Do you know something?" Mei asked, confused.

"Mei... he is a former JSDF Special Forces member. When the war in the Middle East was raging, he saved my life! Maybe if he hadn't come that day, I would never have met you or been speaking at this desk!"

Mei was silent, unable to believe what she was hearing.

"I don't know what his purpose is in teaching at this Academy, but the most important thing is, you must not get involved with him!" her father continued in a serious tone. "He has many ways to take down his enemies!"

Mei shuddered. Fear began to creep into her body. She knew she couldn't fight Arata directly. Finally, a cunning idea came to her: she would just blame Chisa.

The next day at the Academy, Chisa, who was chatting with Arata like a close friend, was called by the principal, Makoto Ishigaki.

"Chisa-Sensei! What have you done?" the principal asked in an angry tone.

"What's wrong, principal? I haven't done anything," Chisa replied, confused.

"Today I received a report that you allegedly deliberately bumped into the Supreme Judge's daughter yesterday, is that true?"

"Well... principal, it was an accident. I was carrying too many books," Chisa explained, her voice trembling.

"Whatever it is, be prepared. The Disciplinary Committee from the Ministry of Education will be coming to examine all the teachers here. So, prepare for bad things to happen to the teachers."

After that, the Disciplinary Committee arrived. They began to interrogate all the teachers, including Arata.

Mei Kurosawa saw this as a victory, completely unaware that this was her first step towards a pit of regret.
