"Hah, soon you'll die because I have become the Demon King!" Jenggolo laughed loudly.
"What you need to know is that I have also become the Demon King. Not just me, because I feel that someone is giving manna besides myself," Pusmoko replied.
With high arrogance, Jenggolo attacked Pusmoko.
His hand collided with Pusmoko's arm.
"Is that all you can do?" Pusmoko asked.
The fire moved towards William, not to devour, but to take shape: a skull-headed figure, with four antlers resembling those of a reindeer.
"Why did you come here?" William asked. "Aren't you supposed to be researching in your field?"
"You didn't ask my name, but it's better if you know it. I am Puspo Geni, one of the researchers trusted by Sudirja to manage the items from the storage warehouse," Puspo Geni answered.
"So, I can only enter the storage warehouse with your permission, right?" William asked.
"Yes, but if someone wants to bring others into the storage warehouse, they must show something they want to research," Puspo Geni explained.
"Don't you know the rules for researchers in your world before this?" Pusmoko asked.
"You must not violate ethics," William replied.
"Because research in this world is more dangerous than in your previous world, keeping research secret from your peers is also an ethical violation," Pusmoko explained.
"Hah, you all look so calm, but soon you'll die," Jenggolo laughed loudly.
"Isn't it true that you're from Jagrapati? Why are you—"
"He is not from Jagrapati, he is from the Dahaluk kingdom. A demon kingdom ruled by the Demon King Darmusdra," Pusmoko interrupted.
"A trusted spy of the Demon King Darmusdra, Jenggolo," Puspo Geni continued.
"So, his name isn't Kolo Berung?" William asked.
"No, Kolo Berung didn't have time to leave because he was busy undoing the seal binding the Demon King Semar," Pusmoko explained.
Quickly, Jenggolo moved toward Gendono, intending to use Gendono to kill all the researchers and destroy the Aryapanggulu kingdom.
He thought that by destroying the Aryapanggulu kingdom, the human race would be defeated.
"What can I do for you, Father?" Gendono asked.
"Kill them three," Jenggolo ordered.
"If you order me to kill the other father, it's no problem," Gendono replied.
"I was being kind to you, Gendono. If you kill us three, you'll die easily!" Pusmoko warned.
"Humans are easier to kill, but to kill us, you'll have to succeed in killing us first!" Puspo Geni warned. "We are even stronger than your father, whom you acknowledge!"
If Gendono had been a human, he would have been terrified. If he were human, he wouldn't have dared to fight the other two fathers.
But Gendono was a demon. Part of the demon race loved destruction and battle. Demons were a bloodthirsty race, and that was a fact that couldn't be denied.
There was no trembling, Gendono was instead delighted. He thought maybe he would find satisfaction after killing his other two fathers.
He didn't want praise, he just wanted to have fun.
"I have no problem with that!" Gendono said excitedly.
Puspo Geni and Pusmoko didn't hesitate. They wanted to kill the new demon immediately. They had no thought of sparing him.
Puspo Geni knew something; one of the people around them would be very vulnerable. He knew he couldn't attack directly.
Therefore, he set William on fire. Clearly, not to kill him, but to protect him.
At first, William panicked as his body was burning. But after he stopped feeling the heat, he calmed down.
"I could have easily killed this new demon, but you are too vulnerable to be attacked," Puspo Geni looked at Gendono. "But now I’m calm, because your strength is now equal to mine."
Puspo Geni stepped forward slowly, his movements clearly showing that he didn’t need to be serious about it. He treated the new demon like a little child asking to be punished. He didn't treat him as a threat.
Gendono shot towards Puspo Geni, his claws hitting Puspo Geni's face.
Calmly, Puspo Geni pushed Gendono, and with no serious reaction, Gendono was thrown far away.
Jenggolo shot towards Puspo Geni, and Pusmoko casually raised his right hand forward.
A magic circle formed on the ground.
"Lan karo roso lan rekso purwo rupo," Pusmoko chanted.
Jenggolo's body was pulled strongly downward by gravity. He struggled to stand but couldn't.
"Oh, by the way, why didn’t you use detection magic?" asked Puspo Geni, looking at William.
"I don’t know how to do it," William replied.
"It’s easy, just create a magic circle. But you don’t need to chant any spells," Puspo Geni explained.
"Alright, I’ll try," William nodded.
A magic circle formed beneath William's feet.
He wasn’t sure about it. So to confirm, he had to try it.
Nothing happened, and without knowing anything, William immediately concluded that it had failed. His frustrated face clearly showed what he was thinking.
"It’s not a failure, look at the pattern shape. You’ll know if the magic worked or not. You connect the magic with your body’s nerves," Puspo Geni explained.
"How?" William asked.
"Just focus on the magic circle continuously. If you do it, the particles of the atoms that make up your nerves will interact with the aftulc particle group. Since there’s no chant, the Manneon particles will decay into photons," Puspo Geni explained.
William tried to do what Puspo Geni explained. At first, nothing happened. But after a few seconds, he felt something. It was like seeing something, but not with his eyes.
He also felt something, but not from his skin or tongue. He could also smell something, but not from his nose.
"What is this strange feeling?" William confused.
"Oh, don’t try to understand it through your body’s sensors. If you keep doing it, you might go mad," Pusmoko explained.
Seeing his opponent focused on speaking, Gendono thought it might be his chance. A chance to overwhelm his opponent. After all, his opponents never took his attacks seriously.
Gendono shot towards Puspo Geni.
Puspo Geni casually caught him, not seeing it as an attack. He squeezed Gendono’s neck like squeezing a sponge.
Gendono’s neck shattered.
And there was only one condition that Gendono experienced.
Because of the environmental damage that caused Gendono’s birth, it didn’t have a permanent effect.
That condition was death.
"Now I can focus on guiding you. Now, try to detect what happened to that demon, why he was drawn in by such strong gravity? Although the gravity here is still normal," Puspo Geni ordered.
William did as Puspo Geni instructed. He looked at his magic circle, focusing on trying to feel the change.
William felt something, a kind of energy that made him feel heavy. Even though he wasn’t lifting anything, the weight felt so real.
"Is this the result of one particle?" William asked.
"More like two," Puspo Geni replied.
"No, more precisely three—" Pusmoko suddenly stopped speaking, not because he was afraid. He was just thinking, "Oh yes, two is correct."
"One of them is the ρ (Rhineon) particle, the other two I don’t know. Do you guys know?" William asked.
"From Sudirja’s documentation, the second particle belongs to the ruller tidal category. It’s a group of rulers that interact with the essential charge of a particle to change its strength value," Pusmoko explained.
"What is the essential charge?" William asked.
"Since there’s no equivalent in your world’s microphysics, just consider it similar to color charge, but it affects all groups of Materialis particles," explained Pusmoko explained.
"But there’s no color charge term in the microphysics of this world," Puspo Geni continued.
"But isn’t the ρ (Rhineon) particle a scalar group?" William asked.
"Correct, but it’s important to note: the ruller tidal makes the particle behavior blink, while the scalar ruler doesn’t," Pusmoko explained.
