'Why is my status window like this? Does everyone's look like this? I don't remember creating a system like this. Wait, some of this system is the same as the ideas I noted down, though,' Darien thought with a serious expression, unaware that his brother was blinking repeatedly with a look of disbelief, still staring at Darien's status window as if it was trying to trick him.

'... We are really in big trouble...,' Eirian thought, still with that same look, as if they were truly in big trouble. And they were.

Sigh.

Eirian let out a weary sigh while pushing his bangs back, but they fell forward again, making him a little flustered. He glanced at the status window again with an anxious and worried look. 'What should we do? I don't know what will happen to us next... But Darien seems to be in bigger trouble. Why does his status need to look like that?'

But seeing Eirian's was also different; there was only one reason why they were under palace surveillance.

'This is definitely about the strangeness of our status windows. Eirian also said the same thing, and after seeing my status and his, it confirms my suspicion. First, according to the original plot, Darien's power was unknown, like now, because at that time I hadn't decided what power I wanted to give this character.

But I remember it was about the class and title Darien would have. Now, I have two titles, but the difference is the second title, "Newborn star's chosen one." From my original notes, it was supposed to be "Newborn Dark Star." Then the class. I don't have any class here. Hmm... From my memory, Darien had a class, and that was a sword warrior.

Aaah! What has happened!? The storyline has changed too much, even though some of it is the same as the ideas I noted down. But how can this world follow the functions I wrote in my notes, but at the same time, change them?

Even Eirian had a strange status here. Why does he already have a class? My idea was that only Darien would have a class first before anyone else. The others wouldn't have a class until they completed all the daily quests...,' Darien thought, he already feels his energy starting to drain from thinking about all this.

He was scared, worried, and confused. This was really difficult for him, even though he was the writer of the world he was in now. It wasn't as easy as in the anime, novels, or manga he read or watched before, where the MC knew the next steps to take, changing, avoiding, or following the plot so as not to cause significant damage and changes to that world. 

But, because this book only had the prologue and chapter 1 published, what would happen next was truly beyond his control.

Even if he could guess what might happen next, he still felt a struggle and could feel the burden of the entire world on his shoulders. The fear he always felt would never go away; it only got worse.

He was afraid this world would follow the flow of his stupid idea, or afraid that this world had been written by someone he didn't know, and he had completely lost control of this world.

'Many a plot twist will happen next in the future, but the worst is that if it's following the idea that I really didn't think about, I only noted down when I was zoning out or experiencing--'

"About my status, I think my status is normal except for the class that is different from others, but you are too--"

"Class? What about your class is different from others?" That made Darien snap out of his mentally broken thoughts. He felt he knew where this was going. The writer could feel his heart beating one by one, so loudly that it felt like it wanted to come out from his cage ribs.

"... About that--"

The two brothers immediately turned to the room door as someone knocked, then the person slowly turned the doorknob and pushed it open, tilting their head slightly to look inside the room with a calm and curious gaze.

As soon as his honey-brown eyes saw the two brothers now looking at him, one seemed not to know him, and the other seemed to know him before changing his shocked face to one full of alertness and a glare, which made him sweat a little before he stepped fully into the room.

Darien tried to look at the boy more closely, trying to remember who this character was, whether it was a character he had created or the one that suddenly appeared from nowhere.

He was a young man, maybe around the age of a teenager, but the clothes he wore seemed to scream that he was of high rank. What was even more prominent was the beautiful pin in the shape star with an ice-blue flower pinned on the left side of his palace uniform.

His hair color was midnight blue with a slightly honey-yellow highlight, and his small, baby-faced features with large, puppy-like eyes that made him look innocent, but the expression on his face was definitely a mask. It was full of a calm that was quite unsuitable for someone as young as him.

"Hi Eirian-kun, and Darien-kun, how are you both?" his voice was quite soft, like a gentle whisper and warm like sunflowers; it was full of calm and steady. That made Darien feel a little comfortable around him, even though this was the first time he had met this boy.

'Yep, he's not an original character of this world, but... He doesn't seem like a bad person. Still, I must remain vigilant,' Darien thought while giving a little sweet smile and a nod that he was fine and thanks for asking.

The boy gave a small smile as if satisfied with Darien's answer, even though the writer didn't speak. When the boy turned to Eirian again, the blond boy was still glaring at him as if he was unhappy about something with him, and even Darien seemed more confused, looking between his brother's glaring face and the teenager who still seemed unaccustomed to Eirian's behavior.

'... Why does Eirian seem to dislike him?'

"Ahem, well, seeing you two now, it seems you're both okay, so--"

"Darien just woke up; you'd better not try to stress him out."

"Ah... I won't, Eirian-kun. I know your brother's condition. I just came to check his status window on the orders of my superiors," Eirian grumbled something, still looking dissatisfied, and his glare became even sharper when the teenager approached Darien, who was still looking confused between them.

Eirian looks like he wants to bite him if he tries to do something, even touch an inch of Darien's hair.

"Hi, Darien-kun, this is the first time we've met, so I'll introduce myself first. My name is Hirayuki, a staff member from the Serenity Palace investigation department. I'm just here today to check your status window. This is an order, not a request, so please forgive me," Hirayuki said, this time looking guilty, as if he didn't like to do this either, but a duty was a duty.

Darien, on the other hand, had already known this would happen; he successfully maintained his confused face mask, but he was truly confused because Hirayuki seemed so kind, gentle, and... It was as if he were trying not to scare him. Eirian, meanwhile, seemed to be getting more annoyed with Hirayuki; he looked like he wanted to commit murder.

"..."

Darien had a guess, but he tried not to think about it because it would only make him unable to control his facial expression. 

Without thinking further, he tapped the settings icon on his status screen, then tapped "Permission to publish the status." His movements were so unconsciously familiar to someone who had just woken up from a coma for 2 weeks that both Eirian and Hirayuki watched him intently.

When Hirayuki could see Darien's status, he tried to control his shocked expression, even though his pupils trembled slightly.

'Wow... This is more interesting than I thought...'
