Chapter 13:
The Commander's Final Class
Two days since the bloody night at the harbor. The morning sun warmly greeted the Shogun Academy's faculty lounge, but the tranquility felt fragile. Arata Masamune was enjoying his black coffee, his eyes fixed on the window as his mind already crafted a plan. Just then, the door opened harshly. A police officer he didn't recognize stood at the doorway, out of breath.
"Excuse me, Arata-Sensei!" he exclaimed. "We have an urgent report about one of the students here!"
Arata calmly placed his coffee cup down. He had expected a moment like this.
"Tell me," Arata said.
"Daigo Ishigami... Your student," the officer continued, his voice choked. "He and his group... they're causing chaos and provoking gang wars. We can't act rashly because of his father's connections, and we fear the situation will get worse!"
"I understand," Arata replied, picking up a pen and starting to jot something down on a piece of paper. "Leave this to me. I'll handle it my way." He already had a preliminary plan, and it started with gathering information.
Chapter 14: Intelligence from the StudentsThe faculty lounge was quiet again, leaving only Arata and Chisa. The tension from the police conversation was still strong. Chisa looked at Arata, her face filled with worry.
"Arata-kun," Chisa said softly. "This is not ordinary mischief. This is a dark world... the world you left behind."
"I know," Arata replied, nodding. He glanced at his phone. "I'm sure the students have more information than the police."
Without wasting time, Arata summoned Akari, Shion, and Mei. Soon after, the three of them appeared at the door, looking confused.
"What is it, Sensei?" Akari asked.
Arata looked at them one by one. "I need information about Daigo Ishigami. I've heard his reputation, but I need the details. How much influence does he have in this school? How can he keep causing trouble without anyone daring to report him?"
Shion, usually calm, was the first to speak. "Daigo is the leader of 'The Unapproachable.' His gang, 'Green Dragon,' is often seen outside the school. They say he's doing all this to take over the position of his imprisoned older brother."
Now, all eyes turned to Mei. Mei looked down, but Arata's confident gaze gave her strength. "Daigo's parents are dead. His brother, Kaito Ishigami, is in prison. Daigo is acting out because he wants to take his brother's throne."
Arata nodded. The information matched. "Thank you," Arata said, looking at the four students. "I have a picture now."
Chisa still looked anxious. "Arata-kun, what's your plan?"
Arata smiled faintly, the smile of a soldier. "I'm going to find the root of the problem. And for that... I have to meet his brother."
