Chapter 15:
The Commander's Final Class
Arata spent two days visiting the students' homes, building his cover as a caring teacher. After that, he was ready for his main mission. He took a taxi to Tokyo West Prison, a sturdy building surrounded by high fences and barbed wire.
In the visitation room, Arata was face to face with Kaito Ishigami. Arata didn't recognize Kaito, but Kaito observed Arata carefully.
"Who are you?" Kaito asked, his voice hoarse.
"My name is Arata Masamune. I'm your brother Daigo's teacher."
Hearing the name, Kaito's brow furrowed instantly. He observed Arata's straight posture and his cold eyes. Kaito gave a bitter smile. "I know who you are. Not from your name, but from your aura. Those traits... you're a leader. You're one of them, aren't you?"
Arata just nodded slowly.
"You came here because of Daigo?" Kaito asked.
"I know what he's doing," Arata replied.
Kaito lowered his head, his face filled with regret. "I don't want him to become a criminal like me. Please, Arata. Save my brother."
"I'll try," Arata said. "But for that, I need your help. Where can I find Daigo?"
Kaito paused. "Usually... he's at the park near the subway station. If not, he's at a new gaming center."
Arata nodded. He had the information he needed.
