Later that night, after going to Wac with Yuuki. I was laying on the sofa in the living room, reading my favorite manga. My sister was sitting beside me, playing with her phone, and looked like she was having fun.
"Hey, wanna go somewhere on the weekend?" She asked out of nowhere.
"Eh? Mmm... Where?" I asked back in confusion.
"Aah, so you agreed!" She then clapped her hand excitedly.
"I didn't say that, though."
"But you're free aren't you? Oh... Do you already have a plan?"
"No, it's not like that..." I said as I got up from the sofa to sit, and put my manga on the table.
"Then, why not?"
She's so persistent... Well, uh... I guess I have no choice but to go with her.
"It's true that I have no plan for the weeke—"
"Then let's go!" She exclaimed, cutting me.
"Alright, alright, I'll go." I can feel my eyebrows twitch by itself. "So, where are we going?"
She didn't answer me right away, instead, she played with her phone again. Is she looking for a place or what?
After waiting for a while to kill some time, I then continue to read my manga. She finally answered me after waiting for like eternity, "Ah, he said we're going to the aquarium."
"Aquarium? Okay... I guess." I then started to lay back down on the sofa.
Wait... "He said"...? Who is he?!
I got up to sit again, then asked her in confusion, "Who is 'he' you're talking about?"
Hearing my question, her eyes grew wide, then she laughed awkwardly. What is going on? It's rare to see her like this.
"Well... Uh... He..." Her eyes are running wild, not to mention she is shaking so much right now.
If she's acting like this, I can only think of one thing...
"Is he your boyfriend?" I asked, and without her immediate answer, I continued with, "I didn't know you have one."
At first, she jumped a bit while her body could be seen shaking for a second. "Well... Yeah... I suppose you can say it like that..." She then said while fidgeting with her finger, nervously touching her index fingers together.
"Oh... I see, congratulations," I said as I put my manga on the table, then I clapped my hand, celebrating her.
"S-stop it! You're making me feel embarrassed, also, that's not how you should celebrate it!"
"Eh? What is wrong with that? I've said congratulations and also clapped my hands, though?"
"But you're saying it way too flat!" She pointed right at me.
Uh... She's right. I don't know how to celebrate something, I just know to say "Congratulations" and clap my hands. Though I know I need to say it in a cheerful tone, it just won't come out, somehow...
So I ended up saying it in such a flat tone, but I already made sure to smile, of course.
"Right, sorry about that..." I said as I scratched my hair.
"Hmmph, don't worry about it, I know you're not used to doing that."
I guess I made her mad... somehow.
Mmm... Wait a second, if it's going to be her date with her boyfriend, then why would she invite me? Also, isn't she going to the cafe I went to last week...?
"Hey, can I ask something?"
"What is it?" She asked back, still looking both flustered and annoyed.
"It's going to be your date right? Why did you invite me?"
"Ah, about that... ehehe..." She looked away from me while fidgeting with her hair.
Seems like she wouldn't answer me right away for now... Alright, next question then.
"Also, didn't you have a plan to go to the cafe I went to last week, with your friends?"
"Well about that... They cancelled the plan after I told them that I'm going on a date." She smiled and giggled weirdly while scratching her hair.
"Oh, I see. When did you two officially start dating?"
"PFFTT!! Cough, cough..."
"He-hey, are you okay?" I asked in concern.
"Uh... Don't worry, I'm not okay."
"What do you mean by that?!"
She then laughs, and that makes me concerned about her more and more...
"Don't worry, I'm okay. What's your question again?"
While not feeling fully reassured, I have no other choice but to repeat my question, "Okay if you said so... My question is, when did you officially start dating?"
"Oh, about that... We... It happened yesterday, ehehe..."
"Yesterday?! Didn't college just start...?"
I was truly shocked that I can't put myself together. Moreover, I didn't expect that she would have a boyfriend this fast...
Well, it's true that my sister is an easygoing person, so she can pretty much adapt in any situation. Is she a popular figure in her college? I wonder...
"It's not like that, he's been a close friend of mine since high school."
"Oh, I see. I thought someone was hitting on you and you immediately sai—"
"What are you talking about?!" She then threw her pillow right onto my face.
I... I have made a critical blunder...
Ouch... My face... Someone help me…
